1993: Notre Dame vs. Florida State

Highlights from the last college football game titled the "Game of the Century" (one of several). The #2 ND Fighting Irish tomahawked the #1 FSU Seminoles in South Bend, Indiana at Notre Dame Stadium, 31-24. Although ND won this head-to-head match-up in a game that functioned as much like a BCS National Championship Game as it could have that year (sans the home-field advantage), FSU was awarded the national championship after ND lost its regular-season finale. Both teams finished the year 11-1, winning their respective bowl games. In the minds of many ND fans, however, 1993 was yet another national championship year.
