- right click the short cut of your diablo 2 icon.
click properties
at the END of the location "Target:" put in " -w"
-- you can also do this for warcraft 3 --
so it will look like this
"C:\Program Files\WarcraftIII\FrozenThrone.exe" -w
but instead of warcraft 3. it will be diablo
you can also put in
-skiptobnet
at the end of it as well and it will skip all the introduction scenes and auto click battle.net and go right to the login screen
you can have -window -skiptobnet at the same time:
"C:\Program Files\WarcraftIII\FrozenThrone.exe" -w -skiptobnet

True story- I remember one of my friends scammed a guy who was apparently a big guns hacker- you know the type with like 5 mule accounts full of HR's and nothing to do. Anyways, the next day my buddy got hacked and everything from his account got stolen and all his characters got deleted. He then made a few lvl 1 characters that wrote out a nasty phrase.
Scamming people in d2 was fun and exhilarating at times, but some people took the item losses very personally.

@WW3seeker It was a free time killer. Also, Runewords ruined everything forever. Before them, it WAS challenging, it was about luck, with a little help from MF, and a LOT of running places to get drops.

@gtbword well the video is really old. i added it 4 years ago, but the video was about 1 or 2 years old already. so it was about 2005-6 when it was made. i havent played in a long time either, and its funny how they still havent patched the little glitch that i used to get the items that i did get. the item i had sold for that amount of money was a really fucking old item, way back in 1.08. selling 1.09 gvalor made me lots of money too. ooh, the good ol' days. i really hope d3 is just as good!

That was his brother pretending on another character. They just returned the items after they stopped recording.
Oh, and to further elaborate on that trade hack -- it's the one where the item INSTANTANEOUSLY REAPPEARS after the 2nd trade.

A long time ago some friends an I scam where you make a GREAT trade for an item, giving more than its worth. You accept and don't have room so you "make room at stash" and come back with an IDENTICAL, yet worthless item, put it up and hit accept. It eventually caught on.
its right there at your keyboard. its mostly mind control. you have to get into their heads. there is no program there is no 3rd party infiltration. just diablo2(lod) and your brain

D3 better not have all the dupes/spammers/bots/bugs or it's gna be ruined like D2 has...

if u use it (the -w) at the desktop icon wont work.. i made it work for me that way:click properties and go at 2nd tab there you will see something like "C:Program files\Diablo II.exe"
then you should put a -w at end and must look like this:"C:Program files\Diablo II.exe" -w

yes. i like window mode. i can do other things -faster- when in window mode
only thing that sucks is; sometimes i click out side the window and i have to alt tab back into it
mmm its not so much the computer ( but the computer does suck ) its the program i used to record it with... it was set to a lower quality
@LaughingMan42 i did make money off diablo2 items. i was surprised at how much people were willing to pay for some items. at the time i made the video i had made 200$ on one item.
i didnt use fraps. i wish i could use fraps - i tried downloading it but it didnt work.

its a really old program - and i recorded it on my old computer. bulents doenst want to work for me on my vista.
and i dont lag. its the program i used that makes it look laggy
yeah, i heard the 4 people thing as well.
i hope they do something with the pvp, like a tournament setting. that would be cool - then maybe more than 4 people can join.

well it doesn't have to be an older computer, it can be an old graphics card though. try closing as much programs as you can before you open d2 in a window because when it's full screen it kind of blocks the other programs so it has enough space to work in your RAM and when it's in window mode it doesn't set your computer that way.

ITS CALLED D2LOADER... In the properties of the D2LOADER u enter -w at the end of the command and walla!!
funniest way to get stiff is go in the game mule parking and duch and wait there 4 ppl to efer ive got torches anni's and all doin it u shuold rele just try it but dont move til they leave.

Thats not a scam, thats the first thing i used to do every day when logging on, Its the dumb person curve. there are so many morons playing D2, put in 10 minutes of your time sweet talking someone and they drop all their gear,
go to the properties of your shortcut, there you find something called "target" and says something like "C:\Program Files\..." after the " you write -windowed or -w
They started calling it "Fishing" I had about a 94% success rate. I actually kept the same item for many uses, because people usually tossed it to the ground out of anger and to prove I was a scammer. I grabbed it and used it again in another game. We had another scam, claiming that I could "dupe" items. I would collect identical ears from a duel and a friend would show up in a game saying I was lying. He would throw me an ear, saying "prove it, bitch!" and I would proceed to "dupe" the ear.

My last trip I made on d2jsp, I got 5k fg in one day, then quit jsp again. There`s many scammers, alot of newb ones like him...and there`s me. I don`t think you can make 5k fg a day or you would have more then 2 milion fg by now...

i got scammed by some1 much better... i were offering my good Grief for i forgot how many but lets say 10 hrs then some1 came in and asked me to trade it for fury (some crap runeword) but i said no, then another came in asking if i had fury and he offered lets say 15 hrs so i traded grief to the 1. guy for fury and then both went off.. it was same guy with 2 accounts, now thats a scam

My first and last "screw-up" that I had in D2 was the trade hack -- y'know, the one where the person shows you the item, cancels the trade, trades again, and the item reappears? Yeah, I didn't know that such a hack existed (because I just played the game -- no forums for me). I lost something pretty valuable (1.08 Hellmouths -- this was during 1.09).
Was I pissed? Yeah. Did I care after 10 mins? No. Why? Because I was already rich enough to get more pairs, jaja.

if you use the runes you get fast enough even if they are duped once socketed they are in there plenty of dupers still around just dont be dumb and if you get your rune word by means of money or a duper get that shit socketed and no problems will follow

there doing 4 due to like WoW groups, only 5 people in 1 group, witch is understandable. you shouldnt need 7+ people to kill something anyway, unless theres raiding.

I downloaded Torchlight and its awesome. I downloaded some 1.12 patch for it, but when I installed it, it asked me for the serial number (which I don't have, cuz of Torrent download). So I have to play it non-patched :(( with bugs :((
Anyway I downloaded Titan Quest too, but it fuucks up my PC so I uninstalled it :P

no, scamming is fast an efficient. i got what i wanted. i dont play diablo2 anymore... it gets old, playing the same shit over and over. if i where to ever do it again, it would be purely for profit. you know people BUY items online with REAL currency. now that is a shame...
