The first drone i ever bought was a Mavic Air. Got my 107 license to try and make money. Couldnt really get it going and sold it. Now many years later i wanna get back into it and try make some passive income. I know i wont make tons of money. I was gonna get the Mini 3 Pro but just dont have the budget for that one. Seems better to start small and see if i can get work before spending $600 on drone gear that may not go anywhere. The Mini 3 might be what i get.

The mini 3 is a great drone and It’s one of my favorites I’ve ever flown. However, it doesn’t have good compatibility with 3rd party apps for gps controlled flight used for 2D and 3D mapping. In my opinion, if you want to make money, mapping has to be part of what you can do. That is the whole reason I bought the Mavic Air 2 was to for mapping. It was a good option for getting started with mapping ( ~ $500). Good luck and let me know if you have any more thoughts !
