    Ok sooooooo, I was truly looking for your website, because I need to create one (of course I was going to yours for ideas dah lol) I have been following you for some time now and always say I have to go to her website so this morning I was looking looking and looking lol. Then I heard you say I don't play with my work reviews etc I fell out with laughter. I truly understand that. You are so good and help me more than you can imagine. I wanted to tell you Thanks & I appreciate all you do. I'm working on a website and a po.box for next month. I pray your business continue to increase. God bless you!!!!

      😂😂😂 Girl you can't these days...People get mad over one little thing you said and want to troll your real and legitimate livelihood..and you know they just let anybody and everybody Yelp review without consequence. Plus. I'll just go ahead and spill a little tea with you since we're on topic, one of my subs found my actual business and stole it and has been impersonating my work in another state 😮...Yup, video on that coming soon. I do thank you for supporting my channel, and am so happy I have been able to help. It really makes me feel fulfilled to hear comments like these. I really do appreciate them. You go ahead and get it!! I may need to do a how to start your website or template kind of video as well. I just learned how to record the screen so those types of videos are soon to come lol I pray you have all the success you absolutely deserve as well and God Bless!!
      P.S. You may want to take a look at the event planners in your area and see what they're offering and starting prices. It will give you a better idea of where you should be placed to stay competitive.
      Thanks so much again Beatrice, keep that hustle up!! ❤

    Love your videos ! I started my business a year ago and I recently just moved from Louisiana to Texas and within the one year I’ve only had one client 😩😩. I don’t know why I can’t get any clientele . I have a few start up items not many but I’m willing to not make much profit at first just to get my name and craft out there but it isn’t working . Watching your videos helps me stay encouraged cause I’m about ready to give up

    • @BashBesties
      @BashBesties  6 лет назад +5

      Hi Dani, thank you so much!! Don't be discouraged. Things unfold for people in different times, no need to push it, just keep working on your craft! Try creating mock photo shoots and styling parties for friends and family in the mean time to build your portfolio and improve your website. Texas is a very saturated market for event planners, that may part of the problem. You might have to go about it a different way. Survey your competition and who is doing well. Do some market research and figure out what people in your area are looking for or where there's a void that you can fill! Do you service a young family community that needs children's event planners or entertainment vendors? Do you service a primarily senior community who needs wedding anniversaries, milestone parties, or funerals? In the beginning you may need to niche off to build clientele, then branch out to what other things. If what you've been doing hasn't worked, try something new! That's the beauty of business, you can do whatever you want, and since your business is still in the beginning stages you have the freedom to make changes without consequence! Test out packages, try advertising in different places, at different events. I would say first and foremost decide who you want your clientele to be, so you can make decisions based upon your the market you truly want! And remember one client is a win, some people are still waiting for their one! So, your already in the game!! Pray on it, and keep the hustle up, your time will come! ❤️

    Can u pls give an example of what should be included in a children’s full inclusive package? And how to price that? R u charging per guest count? R u including the cost of ur inventory? And then what’s ur profit?

    • @BashBesties
      @BashBesties  6 лет назад +8

      Most people don't throw out prices because they're dependent upon each event, location, service, experience, etc. My business is a little different than most because I offer decor and entertainment. Most only offer decor or entertainment. I have one foot in the event planner world and one in the event entertainment world, so my package prices aren't really going to apply to anyone unless you're doing an entertainment based business. (For example, a spa party business would be the best comparison.) I can try and do a video on what should be included in your packages though! I charge a solid flat fee for 8 guests and then charge a per guest fee for every guest after that. I already own my inventory so I don't worry too much about that, but I make enough per event to cover it. I include my expenses for each event like craft supplies, linens, etc. which are pretty low unless people ask for custom options or take home items, and my labor and gas, and the rest is profit!

    Just found your channel today and have been watching a ton of your videos, they are all so informative. Thank you so much for sharing so much good advice. I’m not sure if you have shared this before, but after you’ve have a couple of events under your belt you will have some photos from the events that you’ve done to use for your marketing and website etc, but what about when you first start and have never done an event? What would you recommend to do until then? (so that you have some sort of content to share and not look like you’ve never booked before)

    • @BashBesties
      @BashBesties  5 лет назад +2

      Hello, thank you so much! I'm so glad that my videos are helpful! So, I'm a big fan of styled shoots! Basically setting up a mock party for yourself to create some content or some samples of your work for clients. You can do it anywhere, in the dining room, your backyard, or even the park! Come up with a theme or type of event. For instance, the holidays are here, so maybe if you plan on entertaining this year or throwing any type of holiday party try sprucing it up a bit and getting some photos in specifically for your site. Creating a nicely decorated main table or even a dessert bar if you're going to be buying those types of items. It's a great way to build your portfolio with things you already have or are going to buy anyways. It doesn't have to be super extravagant either, just nicely displayed and creative!

      @@BashBesties Hey, I never thought that discounting my services would turn off high end clients. I just try to get my pictures so that I show what I can do. Also, the P.O. Box in high end areas was helpful. I never thought about that. Thank you. Little man is fine, very busy though 😣.

    • @BashBesties
      @BashBesties  6 лет назад +1

      Yes, it definitely can! Not everyone of course, some might just see your nice work and be happy that they can get if for less than they expected. But if your significantly underpriced it does detour a lot, especially if you don't have reviews to back up your reputation, it can make people feel uneasy about your ability to provide their expectation of service. Especially because usually really high end clientele are accustomed to pricing that's usually higher than what we even think is "high." I remember some events I undercharged myself, thinking my price was high when I sent over the quote, and I found out another vendor they hired got paid more than me to do significantly less. You have to be mindful of it, but always do what works best for your business. If your charging a rate your happy with, and your getting steady clientele, then all is well! Boys huh, always keepin mama busy!

    Hi! why event planners favors the money to go to everything else and less in decorations? I design decorations and i have seen how event planners give the most money to everything else and less in decorations?

    • @BashBesties
      @BashBesties  2 года назад

      Hello! I think a lot of event planners follow a rule of thumb of percentages of a budget. And generally, less of that budget is attributed to decor.
      I also think when event planning there’s kind of a priority list.
      Most important for an event is that people need a place to party, and if they invite guests then they need to feed them (and that takes up most of the budget right there). Whatever is remaining needs to be split up into so many other categories (decor, photography, entertainment, staff and favors)
      It also depends on the client. If the client’s priority is good food and wants simple decor, that’s what the planner is going to give them. There are clients though who value decor and it’s high on the priority list, so they budget accordingly. 😊

    So I’m struggling with pricing and packages with all inclusive! Can you give examples and prices. Say a basic baby shower with linens and etc .

    • @BashBesties
      @BashBesties  5 лет назад +2

      Hello there! It would depend on so many factors, that's why pricing is hard to grasp. It's really a trial and error thing per the individual. For baby showers some of the factors are the amount of guests, whether you're doing the treat table and providing the treats and such, specialty linens needed, rentals, etc. but usually you're starting at $1,500 and up for a smaller basic shower. ❤

    How do you determine appropriate pricing for your market?

    • @BashBesties
      @BashBesties  2 года назад

      I like to do market research. When pricing I take into account how much it cost to produce my service or packages, how much profit I want to see with each event…while considering how much others are charging in my area, taking into account their skill level, amenities, and location.

    How many events do u actually do a year, and what time of the year do u think is your most active?

    • @BashBesties
      @BashBesties  5 лет назад +2

      I would say around maybe 50 give or take. I'm most busy like in the coming months. It picks up for right after January which is always slow super super for me. Then surprisingly in the end of the year like Oct-Dec is really quite active as well. I do children's events so I'm thinking it's the times when parents are really busy like with holidays and have no time to plan birthdays. Summer is steady but not as busy as you'd think it would be for my particular business. I think parent's are taking more vacations and have more options in the summer I assume or maybe I'm just passing up on more events because my own kids are off lol. But I also do not advertise really at all anymore. I don't want to be too booked up so I can focus more on RUclips. So, my events are purely booked via clients who find my business online and inquire. So, that may effect my "active" time as well, as I'm sure if I put more into advertising I would be busier. Hope that helped! :)
