There’s not enough cobalt in the Earth to make enough batteries for even the US market. There’s also not enough African child slave labor to mine the cobalt.
@@thiosemicarbizidebenzoylal2921 It's also guaranteed to be way cheaper than whatever proprietary fuel they're reporting on. Diesel, despite looking dirty, is actually cleaner and way more efficient than regular gasoline. This means cars can go farther without needing to refuel as often. I'm not saying it's the ultimate solution, but as for why we haven't implemented it as the standard right now while waiting for other solutions to become cost effective is beyond me 🤷
Once someone tries a good EV, Tesla etc. It is near impossible to go back to ICE. No more high fuel costs, no more service costs as there are far less parts to fail. Therefore this E-fuel will be an enthusiast thing only. Which is good as there is no way the large fuel companies can keep their ecosystem going for just a few million "collector" cars that will still need fuel. So this is a good development overall.
The best energy solution is not one great solution. That would be a disaster for consumers as there will be no compitition and the providers can raise prices ad high as possible. The best solution is a wide range of environmentally friendly fuel sources which provides option hence creating compitition in quality and pricing. Best of all, consumers will have options.
it still puts CO2 into the air so I don't think it will actually catch on. Wealthy societies have the wealth effect, so they can actually choose against putting CO2 into the air. It will be a pretty small market, but some fuel still needs to be around for some applications, and harvesting it from carbon capture is fine. I don't see it being a lasting thing though, since CO2 won't be around forever

@@asnaeb2 absolutely false, it doesnt even remotely come close even 15% at all. an ev comes over 80% today and in the future over 95% is possible, if you charge at home with solar you are already above 90%.
it is not clean at all, a gasoline vehicle consumes more electricity than an ev driving the same range. gasoline gets pumpen from the ground with electricity, travels with huge tanker ships, then needs to get boild over 900° in refinery, this all uses electricity. even if 100% of the energy made to drive an ev is made with pure coal it is still way cleaner than any ice car. forget that gasoline is clean, it is not, at all. most of the time 90% of the energy is wasted because of terrible inneficiency.
these vehicles will always exist for enthusiasts or ppl who just dont like full EVs
People with inflated ego ay?

Manufacturing and disposal of batteries are extremely harmful for the planet.
@@LifePlayDream not at all
yeah ev is not that good with its battery degrading. Im not fan of ev now, but if they fixed the battery life span i would be.
I think ICEs still have a long way to go. Liquid Piston and other projects promise to squeeze much more power out of them
Diesel is already way more efficient than standard. Why more cars haven't switched to diesel is beyond me.
because it sucks for almost everything but economy lol
Way too dirty.

@@Old_and_Wise Nope the particulate matter from Diesel is way worse than gas. Diesel is the first product in crack distillation of oil.

Shame on them.
I gave a presentation about e-fuels in my college back in 2013. Its awesome. 30, 40, 60
The flying delorean is the best version of ev fuel just chuck in some rotten food and your good to go
Good let s keep cool ice cars going

Methanol burning engines last less than half of gas engines.
Is this in addition to their test plant in Costa Rica
its not porch bro its porSCHE @willyd
As a Porsche i can say it's pronounced PorSCHE.

hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe, we should all move towards it and it’s clean

Hell yeah. Donut media was on site. 40$ per litter . Still cheaper then the hydro rates am paying in alberta lol
very nice

That’s why I love porshe
17$ per liter even after it has scaled lol. Enjoy
Nice
wao very nic supper vdio
Good❤

crap excuse not being able to evolve
First
Gasoline is still cleaner. The vast majority of electricity is generated by burning coal… not to mention the pollution caused by spills in transit
False. Gasonile converts to only 40% efficiency in a car because it wastes all the heat. Big turbines convert it to electricity far more efficient.

doesnt matter because it is always worse than hydrogen and hydrogen is absolutely terrible, it makes 0 sense whatsoever.
