With this no need to watch any recipe to understand, you made it so easy and understandable for me for the first time I choosed to know how to make it.. Thank you so much ❤️
Thank you for making this ... cassava is also grown in the Caribbean and my grandmother made this on a special day. I didn't learn how to. I am going to follow your recipe.
Dear sister, you nailed this video. The steps that you showed in Washing the cassava and then how to cook it . You made a little Cassava that is cooked and mixed with the raw one and then put it back to cook before using food processor to make it into fufu. There is no way I would have remembered these steps because the last time I saw this process is almost 17 years ago. My dear sister, I am really surprised 😂😍 . All I can say is Weldone. It will be really fun for me to go get some cassava from the grocery store here in Toronto and follow your steps 😂😂. 👏👏thanks so much
Akpu. Best soups to enjoy it with are ofe onugbu, ofe oha, ofe egusi, ofe okazi, ofe idemilli . I will choose akpu over vegetable salad any day, anywhere, anytime
This is the Authentic Nigerian Fufu... Loi loi/ White Horse. Neatly presented in Style love the steamer, it did a gud job together with the processor . Second method is also great kneeling in pot. Welldone dear 💖💕
I can't believe that I can still eat AKPU even without being home. You are amazing for thinking about it and making it happen 🙌 great job👍 👏 👍 Am going to try it, but my husband wouldn't know about it🙃 because he doesn't like Akpu🤷🏾♀️🤣.
Choi! Sis you are too much. You just took me back home remembering how we go through this process of making fufu. The two cooking methods came out perfect👍👍
wow, great explanation, I never knew it was so much work. Unfortunately cooking or putting hot food in plastic is not healthy since the plastic releases toxic chemicals....I hate that we do that so much in Nigeria. I guess back in the days it would have been wrapped in Banana leaves?
Girl this is the best way to ferment Cassava for fufu, same way we ferment it back home but the smell before washing it nor be here ooo 🤩😅, both method is dope, Santana, 6 to 6,Akpu looks so good gorgeous Rozy, thanks for sharing ❤️👍🏾
Great job. You've reminded me of my late grandmother. Visiting her during school holidays I use to assist her with the preparation. Thanks. I will definitely try it here. I hope the cassava will be same as that of Nigeria?
Wow this method is very helpful. I like this method and it's better than buying the preprocessed cassava powder. Thanks so much lifewithrozy. Stay blessed
Dear Rozy, I want to try baking the cassava after wrapping it with parchment paper. Would you advise against that or would you offer any directions for doing so? Thanks a lot for the video!
LifeWithRozy👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 you are taking me back to the memory lane. This is what we call “Nne Akpu” wowww morta 😳 This is Nigeria extension. You nailed it sis✅let me go get the Egusi soup 🤪 Thanks for bringing back our tradition ❤️
Awesome video, going to try it.. My first time watching your video 👌 . Please were did you get the morta please share the link i really need it. The one i bought in Amazon came but was disappointed because the size was too little 😥 Love yours 😊 Thanks
I'm South African, i just bought fufu powder at CBD with less information so watching the video i have learnt that i should soak it for three days, can i soak the powder [grated one] and leaves it to fermente for health reasons? I have it[fufu powder] and coconut powder as well to cook for my aging mum Please advise
Hi Rossy, I have followed you for a while now. I came to rewatch this video to acquaint my self well on how to make this fufu here in US. Is it still the same cassava I see in the stores here that I should use. They look a little different from what we have in Africa. My husband buys them to boil and eat. Please I will need to hear from you. Thanks.
Oh wow. I knew cassava had cyanide but i didnt know it takes a week long fermenting process to rid it. I thought its a few hours rinsing or resting in water and what not. So much for my attempt t make fufu from real ingredients rather than a ready made flour.
I didn’t appreciate the poetry of the fufu until now. In repetition and variation on a theme like a rhyme. Separate and re-introduce water, in different amounts over time.
Omg awwww this is so good, this is the only swallow my mom knows how to eat even on Christmas and new year day she will first hammer fufu with correct soup before anything, 😋 the one you mix with your hand , one need to eat enough fufu to do that. Weldon ma'am
Great job! Fermentation is the best route to making fufu. This method takes care of the cyanide that comes with cassava.
Thank you for watching .

Long complicated process, is there a short way
No short way except suicidal...fermentation is top priority

Really liked this video. If I want to make in large quantity using the first method. What kind of wrapping sheet can I use.
So how is this process different from starch making ? I'm curious .
Making starch u don't need to soak the cassava for few days.

Hi Rossy,
I have followed you for a while now. I came to rewatch this video to acquaint my self well on how to make this fufu here in US. Is it still the same cassava I see in the stores here that I should use. They look a little different from what we have in Africa. My husband buys them to boil and eat. I use the cassava that is found here, the best time to use it to make fufu is during summer time. It takes time to ferment 😍
If I want to order this bag you put the cassava what’s the name please
Is casava fufu not every day dish, how do they manage that with so long preparation, when will the family enjoy the dish
Oh wow. I knew cassava had cyanide but i didnt know it takes a week long fermenting process to rid it. I thought its a few hours rinsing or resting in water and what not. So much for my attempt t make fufu from real ingredients rather than a ready made flour.
It can be fermented for 3 days if you have freshly havested casava
Hey, don’t you take out the poisonous root in the middle?
Thank you ma'am
The like and prefer the second
Thanks for watching.
We are eating Akpu in America👏🏾👏🏾
😄😄
Cassava are made in East and Central of Africa as well.
I love fufu ❤
I didn’t appreciate the poetry of the fufu until now. In repetition and variation on a theme like a rhyme. Separate and re-introduce water, in different amounts over time.
Thank you
I would like to know how this is made. Let me watch.
The second method is what I grew up at my grandma's
Omg awwww this is so good, this is the only swallow my mom knows how to eat even on Christmas and new year day she will first hammer fufu with correct soup before anything, 😋 the one you mix with your hand , one need to eat enough fufu to do that. Weldon ma'am
