I finished my Master's Degree 13 years ago and I still have nightmares about it...last night I dreamed that someone accused me of plagiarizing my thesis and I had to go to court!

For example I did a history degree and now my masters has law and politics but I have not been taught in any shape or form how to approach anything from a legal perspective etc so it feels like a guessing game haha but it’s doable!!!

You know what I hate? Like how suddenly you're just expected to know things? Like one day you don't but the next day you should and then it gets too late to ask so you just pretend you know 😭 also how relatable is you not answering the phone because it's a number you don't know lol
It's called learning. It amazes me that as a world we literally have endless knowledge at our finger tips and people still can't problem solve. Not to mention there's help lines you can call that it's their job to help you figure things out.

It would’ve helped learning it in school and there’s an awful lot of pressure just to jump in the deep end from teenage years to adulthood as quick as that. Some things are hard to figure out, complicated.

These people like accountants or counsellors are getting paid to explain things to you. Experts often forget that other people are new to their field but it's still their job to give you all the information you need in a way you understand. So absolutely keep asking them if you feel confused. This will continue throughout your adult life. You can never know everything, nor should you. It is really important to get used to nagging people until you feel you understand them.
I’m now becoming a proper adult and I’m lookin at the whole situation like ‘I don’t dream of labour’, ‘I want to retire when I’m 50’, ‘I don’t need an alarm, my problems wake me up’ and ‘Can god give me a rich husband?’
I feel that so bad Taz! I haven’t had health insurance for 3 years because I can’t get through the logistics and my job doesn’t offer it. I’ve also moved 9 times in 8 years so I don’t even know where my important papers are anymore…now I have all of these health issues and can’t do anything about it yet. It sucks 😅
I agree. When I bought my house, thank goodness we bought it in cash, if not it would have been worse. Once we bought it we had to get a specific paper, go to such placr to show title and get water and all this, we got papers where it tells you what you need to do. Like you said you go to these places and expect you to understand everything as if you have done this a bazillion times and agree and make a decision. It was stressful, thank goodness I had my dad. We are really not shown or learn important things that you will do in your adult life, it is sad.
It's great that you have an accountant; representation really helps. I'd be at rock bottom without a lawyer for my workers comp case for the last year and a half but I'm doing okay for it. The red tape, documents, phone calls, etc can be exhausting I feel like when I was a kid not wanting to do my homework lol. Adulting can be yikes. Just hang in there sis 🤘

I know how you feel Taz! I went a year to a university and decided to quit to go study at an art university, in october i'm starting my first year there! My mom helped me through EVERYTHING, I couldn't have done it by myself to be honest. It's ok to ask for help sometimes, guys
If you have no idea what they're saying, just ask. Just say hello, what does this mean. Pretending to know what they mean and trying to figure it out later fuels my anxiety so just say it

@@AmberWoodMusicx you pay back a scaled amount depending on your salary. For example if you're on £30000 you pay £13 back a month, which doesn't even begin to pay back the interest the loan has already accrued never mind the actual loan which will eventually written off.
