She's so sweet and fun. What a cute and lovely listen this was.
Great interview. The usual cast has lots of appearances on cons and some great stories and behind the scenes stuff comes from it, but it is usually same people each time. Nice to hear from one of the less visible actors from the show.
Great interview. I really appreciated that she was able to return through all seasons of the show. A random ISN reporter in season 3 when Clark's forces storm the newsroom wouldn't have had the same impact, and the same goes for season 4 when ISN returned to "normal."
Not that it really matters, but at around the 18:00 mark I think Maggie was referring to what happens to Santiago in season 1 as her "Cronkite moment." Most of the interview talked about her appearances in season 3 and 4, and I wanted to highlight that she was likely talking about her scenes in season 1's finale in this instance.
Ha, Jane's ISN broadcasts basically bookmark the beginning and the end of the Clark regime... or at least the official war. 😀 Maggie was a great actor to portray the part as well. She looked like a realistic anchor woman for local news networks... and not like a model playing the part. And even better, since JMS certainly cast the ISN reporters in questionable light for many segments. The scene where Clark's forces took control over the ISN broadcast station always made me feel like a German or Soviet takeover --and something that would be horrific and unheard of for us. Of course, that was long before the main news networks in real life became so polarized. Watching that scene now seems like it could easily happen tomorrow... whether that "tomorrow" is really tomorrow, or any time in the near future (or fairly recent past) remains to be seen. 🧐

What a wonderful person, so down to earth and friendly. In some ways, she really portrayed the heart of B5 throughout the series. We felt her fear in season 3, and her moment of "freedom with cost" that we see in season 4.
Well done on getting Maggie Egan to do an interview; I think a lot of people forget that she's one of the few actors to appear in all five seasons of Babylon 5. Now, if you can get Marjorie Monaghan to do an interview as well, you will become a legendary hero to me. 👍
And Crusade, as I recall.
Funny you should mention her, but I'd also be interested in the other really tall lady, Marjean Holden from Crusade. One of the biggest bummers of the Crusade cancellation for me was the feeling that her best material was yet to come, but it never came. Secondarily to seeing more of Richard Biggs (RIP) dealing with the plague and giving more of his reflections (which were my favorites of him in B5)
I've felt for quite some time Maggie has projected a feeling of any ordinary person in extraordinary events.
And watching this, gave me much the same "feel", a genuinely nice lady you'd be happy to have as a neighbor

Scott! This is great! Not to be too superficial, but Maggie looks fantastic. If you stay in touch with her, please mention that i said so. I remember a convention she did where she mentioned how important it was for her to be able to keep working and stay qualified for her insurance through SAG. I take it as a reminder that B5 was really a team effort. And especially since we have lost so many cast members over the years, it brings me a lot of delight to see one of our cast who seems to be doing well.
Pretty sure that's more appearances than Keffer, and he was in the credits. Might be more than *spoilers*

Jane and Lochley have the same number of B5 appearances at 10 and Crusade appearances at 3.
Lochley has 4 "movie" appearances including Lost Tales.
Jane has no movie credits.
There are plenty of actors who don't like or hate watching their own work.

About 44 minutes thru the podcast. Dylan Neal played David Martell in B5: Legend Of The Rangers, not Crusade.
That's why I couldn't remeber it. Lol
