  • A flock of Northern Shovelers feeding along a shoreline in spring. First from a distance then up close. In the first clip you may notice some head bobbing, part of courtship. The Shovelers feed by swimming in a circle stirring up tiny critters then filtering them from the water. In the still at the end you can see a bit of the "filter", the lamellae in their beak.
