When they believe you trustworthy, they'll treasure your face and voice in their mind, and let you hug and pet them. It's a pity that so many people misunderstood them.
I found this to be both humorous and very enjoyable. Such a great way to give detail information on the geese. Love it. Best I have ever seen. Love your choices of music and narrations too. Thanks for sharing God bless.
I wake up to their sounds every morning in late fall and then again in spring. I believe it's the same 30 or 40 that graze on our river front property. It's lovely.
Thank you for sharing. My five-year-old was startled by and fairly terrified of migrating geese that flew overhead while she was playing. I tried to explain migration to her, but your video did a far better job.
When she sees them, and hears their -evil laughter- honking, she should -run for her life- do nothing about it. I -Absolutely know why- do not know why she is -rightfully so- terrified of -Dinosaurs- Canada Geese.
A few thousand years ago, after Canada declared independence from the UK, a great wizard named Tim Horton drew evil out of the souls of every Canadian, and it all condensed to form a new -Threat- species of -Dinosaur- Goose: The Canada Goose. And that is why Canadians are addicted to Tim Hortons, very kind, but their native -Dinosaur- animal species is so -Murderous- cruel. (Both comments are a joke.)
SOME bits of fun and laughter (funnier SOBER, I assure you........the 'staarnova' who commented here a year ago). MOSTLY VERY INTERESTING and I THANK YOU, David Smith. I LOVE THESE GEESE, too. I painted them when I was a child. My Dad (a former Air Force pilot) introduced me to LISTENING FOR THEM and WATCHING & MARVELLING at their flight. "THE HONKERS" seem to like to spend a LOT OF THEIR SOUTHERN time away from OH , CANADA...............on lakes and ponds in & near Texarkana, Texas & or Arkansas. P.S. The colours and cinematography of your video is WORLD -CLASS A+++
I did not just Like this video I LOVED THIS VIDEO :) ,I love my Canadian Geese they are so smart where I live they come out side my building all the time around this time every year , I just love these birds so much they are special to me , I love going to this park where I live hear in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada and like this evening my wife and me went to that park and fed them and there was these two that stuck out to me , we saw them yesterday and they do listen to you they are not dumb what so ever and I said to them that I will be back tomorrow witch is today and I did and my wife and me where siting on this park bench and there where all these other Geese and from a distance there where thows couple that I said I was gona be back and the male was sqacking away making his voice herd saying (hey I remember you ) and they came right up to us and we fed them by had and so gentel they took the bread from our hands . I love my Canada Goose :) .
I figured away to tell a male Canada Goose from a female Canada Goose. For starters; males are a little bigger and appears a tad heavier. Their black tail feathers a little bit more longer than the females tail feathers. Please correct me if I am wrong. Very entertaining and educational. I ❤ the music..
Canada geese are my favorite birds, and they're a never ending source of pleasure for those folks so inclined. Strange that so many so called humans consider them a nuisance.
Malcolm MacLeod it’s because they are a nuisance. Their shit is riden with harmful bacteria, and they shit everywhere. They cause accidents, as well as force traffic to come to a screeching halt. They do make for good target practice and if cooked just right, are a suitable source of protein.
@@erik0207 In large numbers they are and can ruin a pond. I've got a pair with 5 goslings in my pond. I enjoy watching them and listening to them honk. If they multiply to say...a few dozen then it's goose season with 3 inch steel waterfowl loads.
I totally enjoyed this informative and fun video. My toes tapped as I listened to the evocative Roaring 20's clarinet music. I was enlightened by the "Canada geese" primer - lol. I was moved by the quote attributed to Elizabeth Kubler- Ross toward the end of the video. Altogether, an impressive video. Thanks for the fun respite.
I really enjoyed this .Terrific video .What camera did you use for close ups? There are Geese here in Berlin and Manchester but they stay all the year round which is great if , like me you are a goose lover .Thumbs up for your work and in my favourites . Note ) where was this filmed ? approximately .... Greetings from a fellow Goose lover , Helena .
Nice piece (minus Spartacus!) Just watched a stunning artistic documentary called Winged Migration from 2001. Canada Goose gets mentioned in that film.
This is a REMARKABLE piece of information on our beautiful Canada Goose! But ~ also highly humorous and entertaining ... with really excellent editing! Big compliment! Big THANKS! 🇨🇦 P.S. Always sad to see them leave ... always happy to see them return :o) P.P.S. shared on G+, on FB, and ~ with many of my friends Overseas ~ thank you! P.P.P.S is "stored" in multiple playlists @ my channel too ;o)
I have always felt exited when geese fly over head honking, have felt like this since I was a child it's a mystery to me. I will not eat a goose or by any goose products where does this come from. Don't believe in reincarnation lol.
a lady in altanta emailed me she saw a bunch of them the next day down that way. my father in law lives in Lakeland FL they are large flocks at the lakes down there. I find it very strange .
the geese r leaving early this year they are flying southern fast it's only 8,26,15 seen in Oklahoma and Arkansas . I find it very strange they normally stay in the corn belt for harvest.
+Jan Johnson Yes, I noticed they are early this year, too. They flew over my house near the metro Atlanta area this morning. I hear we will have an especially cold and wet winter. The geese are smart!
+Debbie Neumayer I don't think it's just going to be a bad winter. it's the sence of life threatening danger too! I've which these beautiful birds all my life in I'm 52 this is a sign of danger they know it. watch for a lot more birds.
+Debbie Neumayer there is something very wrong! these bird most favorite thing Is the corn harvest. they clean the fields very year. they normally don't fly south until the end of October. this year they didn't wait they flow out gulf Coast. down in Florida. by lake land.
+Jan Johnson Yes that kind of strange in your neck of the world they are making an early departure.. but, up here in the Seattle Puget sound Washington State area, .we are now seeing the big high altitude migration of Canada's finest flying species. As always and for as long as ever, they look fabulous in their trek South and we always marvel and wish them well...They are a reflection of our own life cycle every year.
This was great! Always wanted to know more about them!
It's so beautiful to hear the honk of the wild geese.
When they believe you trustworthy, they'll treasure your face and voice in their mind, and let you hug and pet them. It's a pity that so many people misunderstood them.

These birds are mean because they are VERY protective, and they are a nuisance because they poop alot and dont fear people!... but I love them anyways
People love geese until they move into your neighborhood lol
This is fantastic!

They are def a nuisance you prob don’t live near any and you def don’t have any on your property or you might fee differently

You can, change your profile pic and name to anything related to geese, and you are officially an Internet goose.
If the Geese are Canadian citizens then they are Canadian Canada Geese.
Yayyyyy ⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️
I think most Canada geese are now naturalised in Eurupe (e.g. UK), and don't migrate back to Canada.
The background loocks nice
I love this video ❤️
