Homelander never stood a chance to be a hero. It's actually a miracle he didn't snap sooner.
This is one of the most intense and beautiful edits I've ever seen. I'm almost convinced I've already commented on this video before, and I just can't remember.
This just so accurately portrays how Vought took him and made him into a campaign tool to be used for Marketing, only ever obeying their orders. Stillwell had complete control over him but what she failed to realize is what doing this kind of stuff to a person does to their psyche. Vought didn't even consider for a moment they could be making a monster who can destroy the fucking earth if he just got bored one day, because he has never learned ANY form of empathy.
You depicted his character arc so well and I cannot wait to see what you do with the character when season 4 comes out!

I fully agree with that, he's just the monster Vought created and he never really had a chance or say in it. It's sad more than anything else.

Adore this one. The editing is brilliant, all the parallels, be it the voice-overs or the scenes, are put together perfectly. Thank you for this masterpiece! Homelander is such a great character, too. I mean, all the characters are complex, one of the main reasons I love this show so much, but Homelander especially is such a great character study. You understand him, even if you don't endorse it. (And as a psychologist I really have to say they do a good job portraying characters).
