  • By the light of two candles, I again repeat my low light video test. Things go swimmingly until I start filming, when the usual Fuji issues crop up immediately. An interesting mix of poor exposures, noise and purple heat syndrome make for an engaging time. I add the G6 and GM1 just to show how they can do this, although I certainly did not use optimal exposures or white balance. I add some studio lighting at the end to show how much better these cameras are with some light.

Kim, I have the Fujifilm S1 and also the low light movie quality is not great. What would be the best settings if any for this do you know?

To be honest, I have never found settings on a Fuji long zoom that make an acceptable low light video. You would be better to grab something cheap from Panasonic, Sony, Canon or Nikon in that order.
