Needs presets built in like the amped 3. I bought it and really liked it but... was very disappointed to find out you can only have presets in the computer software but cannot save them to the pedal. So I returned it to Sweetwater. Will buy the Amped 2 if improved and would love to see an Amped 4 that puts the fetures of the 2 and 3 together and BOOM the end all solution.

I've seen a few videos showcasing this unit. It does look interesting, and has a huge number of features. It'll be interesting so see how many end up in live gigs compared with those that never leave the home recording studio. As a gigging guitarist, I like the idea of taking one unit and a cab, but on the other hand, a combo plus a pedalboard in a box is pretty much the same amount of equipment. Also, with discrete elements (i.e., pedals), if one of them fails, it can be bypassed or repaired. I suspect this Blackstar unit would be so difficult and expensive to fix that it would be binned as soon as it broke.

sounds awesome! can you switch from clean to dirty easily? any thought about a "channel/amp" footswitch?

Will wait here for the answer if you allow me 🙃
I hope that the "foot" buttons work also as a channel switch.

If only it had presets. I can't begin to fathom how they didn't think to make that a feature, and they have neutered it without them. Sounds like they are trying to hock their midi controller, which is gross when it could just be on the pedal natively.

its called a footswitch... its called midi.... damn smh

@@sethlover6498 Maybe you are so dense due to the continuous trauma of smacking yourself in the head when you fail to grasp the concept of an opposing point of view being possible. It is an "all in one" solution where they want you to buy or use an external device to access a basic function of competing devices. Not hard to see why some may find that a miss or an intentional direct to purchase the controller separate despite having everything available in the device to accommodate that already.

@@gooberthoreau This was never an all in one solution... that is what people want it to be...this is a power amp on your pedal board with added features... which makes it a lightweight basic gig option... everyone other than people with a brain for a dildo knows this... so yes buy the midi controller if your not a cheap ass and want controllable presets... if you cannot understand that then take a timeout and sit your clown ass down...

@@sethlover6498 I normally don't reply more than once because I don't take shits that often and can't be bothered otherwise, but direct from Blackstar's advertising: "AMPED 2 is a complete, all in one, gig-ready solution for guitarists looking to transport their tone from studio to stage with ease". I would like to draw your attention back to your reply: "This was never an all in one solution". Feel free to lube that dildo before you self serve it. In rare "on the spectrum" form today I see. You got to just be trolling if you can't understand, in any way, why someone might think that excluding presets from this device was a slip up unless they are intentionally trying to peddle their own midi controller. Missed a trick, whatever you want to say. If you are cool with it, fine, but your disbelief that any rational person could have that point of view is beyond baffling.

The fuzz is what I expected to thin and ratty or to flabby and whooly. However for the price and user features you can't go wrong.

To be clear when you say “preset” if I set my amp / power settings effects and most importantly amp Chanel Eq “ gain treble bass ect
Can everything be set saved and recalled in a preset via a separate midi controller ??
I can’t seem to find this detail anywhere
