Hi everyone and welcome back to my channel. So today we have this light and airy shell sweater, that is pretty easy to make and perfect for any beginner.
Materials needed;
I used Drops Karisma which is a weight 3 yarn and 100% wool. For a size small I used 1199 yards.
5mm crochet hook
Stitch marker
Measuring tape.

Carrie, love your videos! You are concise easy to understand and follow! I have made several of your sweaters , my favorite is “The Grace” I have made them thick and thin! Everyone loves them! I live in south Florida but have relatives in NY. Make the sweaters in all weights! So many bloggers bore you to death before they get to the instructions, you are wonderful!!!
Made this with Mandala yarn. Came out pretty well . I made the cuff ribs and continued with it to make sleeves like the body, increasing at the first row. That way didn’t have to stretch the cuff to attach. Thanks for the amazing instructions

I just finished this sweater (my first) and am very pleased with the results. I used Lionbrand 24/7 cotton yarn, which is a category 4, so the sweater feels heavier than one made in the category 3 yarn called for, but the weight just right for our March weather without feeling like a winter sweater, so I am thrilled with it. The directions on both the video and the website are clear enough for novices like me to attempt a garment and have some success. I highly recommend giving it a try, especially if you are a beginner wanting to try a sweater. Thanks for sharing this pattern, Carrie.
Thanks for the recipe :) I just finish making it in yellow. It was easy to follow directions which was very nice since I have not made a sweater before.
I love the ribbing at the neck. I’ve never seen that before. I also love the shell stitch you did. Brilliant!

This is my favorite stitch. I haven’t done this one in a long time. I’ve forgotten the multiple for this stitch.

Hi Carrie. I am the part of ribbing at for beginning and was wondering if the count of 67 rows of ribbing just includes the 'ridge' to be counted only as I seem to have a lbery long amount of ribbing compared to yours you show an I am doing the same size? Thank you , Alli from UK x

I'm having issues attaching my cuffs. You only slightly stretched yours but with the measurements I'm finding I have to pull it so far despite everything being the right number of rows. Should I use a larger hook? I'm already using the 5.5mm

Hi. It really depends what country you live in. I’m in Ireland so it’s pretty easy for me to source it in local yarn stores however I’m sure you can find it on Amazon. I think www.woolwarehouse.co.uk have it too and ship internationally.
