In love this sweater! I am a beginner and this is the first time making a wearable. I have almost all of it completed. Working on the second sleeve now. Such a simple easy to follow tutorial. I would recommend.
I just started working on this. Your instructions are so wonderful. I have been crocheting for many many many years. What I love about your direction is that you repeat how many stitches are roads were supposed to have but you don’t baby step every little stitch and how to do it. Thank you so much for beautiful tutorial. I’m looking forward to my finished project.
I love this. Thank you for going nice and slow so I can easily follow along. I love when you do tutorials this way!! can't wait to start this project. Thank you again!!!!
wonderful..please give us more videos with simple patterns but yet very beautiful,,i am tired of videos with immposible patterns with cable and swirls... most of us we need patterns who are simple but yet not boring ... i have an eyes on you ! very beautiful sweater !
Just finishing up this sweater! Thanks for the great tutorial 👍🙂. The only thing I would have liked as a beginner is a little video and instruction on how you sewed the pieces together. Thanks again.
I love this sweater and I will be making it as soon as I get my hands on some yarn!! Thank You for the beginner friendly sweater as that happens to be the only level I can do at the moment since I just started to crochet recently!
I wanted to thank you for this video. I just finished making this sweater last week and Iove mine. I made it in a darkish moss green, and I just love the pattern in it. It was also quite easy to make and I am pretty new to crocheting. I do love mine and I am sure I will remake this pattern again over the years.
Hey Carrie! This is Impossible, how am I going to keep up with so many beauties? This is another "I need to make it". Gorgeous sweater!!! Stunning work.
I've now finished 2 sweaters using this pattern. The first I made a size large using Caron simply soft party in white and pink. I used the white for the ribbing and the first 4 rows of each piece as well as the collar and followed the pattern exactly. That sweater turned out beautifully BUT it was just a tiny bit small for me so I gave it to my daughter for Christmas and she loves it. The 2nd sweater I used Bernat bundle up in the colorway marshmallow and made a X-large. I followed the pattern exactly except for the collar. I wanted more of a turtle/cowl neck so I chained 25 instead of 6 when starting the collar. This one turned out bigger than expected but thats ok with me. I'd rather have a sweater that's a little big so I can layer. I'd never used the Bernat bundle up yarn before so perhaps the yarn itself is why this 2nd sweater came out bigger than I expected. Its also the first time I'd crocheted with a chain spun yarn. I'm wondering if perhaps using the Bernat bundle up caused the sweater to be bigger than expected. It does seem to have a lot of stretchiness to it. This is a relatively easy pattern to follow and in fact for the 2nd sweater I didn't need the pattern for anything other than the stitch counts. If anyone reading this is thinking of trying to make their first sweater I would say this is a good pattern to start with. Thanks for sharing your talent and skill Carrie💙🧡
Hi Carrie so I have now made five of your sweaters including the pocket shawl, which I love. You are my favorite person to follow in the crochet world! Thanks for being a great teacher and a cool person! 💕
Had to say thankyou so so much for this tutorial. I've just finished this and I absolutely love it. Instructions are perfect. Lovley result and I'm going to make many more in all different colours x
Thank you so much! I have just finished this jumper and it’s amazing! This was my first ever jumper I have made (I’m 15) it’s was so easy to follow the pattern THANK YOU!
Hei carie , you’re so good croachet lady , im so excited start a new one , now im soon finish the shawl wt pocket , im run out of yarn but i used a combination it looks Very LOVELY pattern .oh my GOODNESS im saving all your croachet sweater & shawl .. am eager to show you my immitation from you . Watching you from Norway .. Thanks for sharing you’re a good TEACHER .. ♥️🥰👍🏽😘♥️
Thank you so much for this video.. I've never made a sweater and I've always wanted one of those true knit sweaters but can't knit past one type of stitch and its only a scarf so I was really excited but nervous to try this.. having said that your tutorial is flawless. I was able to follow easily and when I came to find something I didn't do properly, it was easy to troubleshoot thanks to your video where I went wrong and how to fix it. I made this in a cranberry colour and made it longer both in the body and arms but I'm thrilled that it actually turned out as good as yours.. I, even while making it was nervous that when I stitched it all together, if it'd fit or look anything like yous but its does and I just want to say thank you for your easy to follow tutorials. I'm going to try the v-neck next..
Hi Carrie, I really appreciate the way you explain it's very clear and easy for me to follow you. I am Greek and I am very happy to follow your instructions and do all these beautiful crochet projects. Many thanks and greetings from Athens
I want to try this! But I definitely need at least a medium. I looked at your blog and I'm not sure where to find the instructions for it to be a little bigger. Thank you in advance! Love your videos and all the beautiful sweaters you've made!
This was so easy to follow, I’ve already got the front/back done in one evening. Thank you so much for this tutorial. What I’d love to learn how to do for a sweater or cardigan is the raglan sleeve. Thanks again
Hey Carrie, I so love your video tutorials - just brilliant. I am a REAL beginner and don't know how to make my sleeves slimmer (not so wide) ..I like regular fitted sleeves. Is it possible with this pattern and if so how do I do it? Thanks a million. Pat XX
Love love love it! All done here on my end! Quick question: what’s the purpose of the increases in the arms of the sweater? That being asked, thanks for such an amazing tutorial! Can’t wait to make more of your designs!
Hi Carrie. I’m making this sweater and am on the sleeves. The video and the written pattern indicate that once the sleeves are 17” long to tie off. I don’t see anywhere on the written pattern that indicates making a longer sleeve for larger sizes. Sorry if this is a silly question. I’m fairly new at this. Thank you!
Hello,I was wondering. When you are putting the sleeve on the body of the sweater, can you please show how you do that in detail? Or do you know a video I can watch?
@@lucillegoudreau441 in the description box theres a link for the written pattern. Since I just happen to have the pattern open on my device I looked it up for you and for a XL it says to start with 82
Hi Carrie I have two questions please on the sleeves where it says crochet till you have 17 inches does that include the ribbbing part also? also under the part of the sleeves where it says 54 stitches is that supposer to be 54 rows or stitches Im a little confused here
Someone please advise!! I ended up doing 64 stitches not 62. When I get tobthe row where I do hdc until chain 18...where should I go to? I'm basically ready to start that row. I'm just added a few extra rows to make it a bit larger. Should I go to 19? 20? Help!!!
Does anyone have the issue as me? I am working on front panel. However, both sides are not straight. They kinda towards to right hand side. The panel looks like \__\ now. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you!
Info is on her blog...you always start with 8 chains for any size. That is the width of the border. The number of rows you do will determine the size www.crochetwithcarrie.com/crochet-iona-sweater/

Love all of your tutorials! You taught me how to crochet- and I just love it. Sending my thanks from Oregon, USA. ❤️
Gorgeous!!! If I keep adding your sweaters and Alison's Crochet baby blankets to my "to do" list, I'll be outliving Methuselah.
Thanks for this new sweater. It will be my next project. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱

Which size is this ?
How many inches is 62 rows?
How many chains for size large
Info is on her blog...you always start with 8 chains for any size. That is the width of the border. The number of rows you do will determine the size
