  • To celebrate the Lunar New Year, Grandma makes her Nian Gao (年糕); a traditional sweet rice cake which symbolizes good fortune, health, happiness, and prosperity.
The cake is steamed and uses glutinous rice flour. The texture is soft, sticky, gooey and chewy, similar to mochi.
It's easy to make and it's gluten free, diary free, and contains no eggs.
    Happy New Year! 新年快樂 !
