That was a forest fire truck first on scene. That's what they had, so that is what they used until the Engine arrived. Should they have just stood and watched the fire?
Fantastic work by the Pleasant Plains fire department! Those firefighters jumped out of the rig in full gear ready to go! They grabbed the front hose and that’s all she wrote! Excellent job very prepared wasted no time! 👏👍👏👍
With the extremely dry conditions I would have thought there would be a better response to a fire than that. If a fire spreads to the brush they would have their hands full very quickly.
A better response? First off the brush truck was on scene in 3 minutes after the dispatch. That’s crazy fast for around here second they are 100% vollys so it takes time to get a crew. The fire was out in seconds.

If the camera man had a hose the fire would have been put at a long time ago
That chief had water on the fire before I got out of my car.

@@jerseyshorefireresponse I was suggesting the if the guy using the small hose had shot the water head on into the engine compartment where the fire seemed to be instead of the passenger compartment, maybe the fire would have been put out faster.
sorry details didn't update they should be now. No word on injuries you saw the one man walking with EMS don't think any were super bad. But not sure. Sorry.
Great job by the brush truck keeping things from getting out of control. I was impressed by the way the guys on the first engine in came off geared up but then a sad trombone sounded when they failed to hook up to the air. Come on guys, you were taught better than that. 5 seconds isn't going to matter to a totaled vehicle, but it will years down the line when the doctor gives you that dreaded diagnosis of lung cancer.
I was a Volunteer ff/emt for years, now I work in Oncology..... WEAR your AIR!! Lung cancer is awful. Slowly suffocating while the cancer eats your lungs. If you're lucky, you only have to have part of a lung cut out. Or, wear your air. Refilling the tank isn't that difficult.
Excellent footage. That Camaro was a beautiful car. I hope that there were no injuries in this accident. I hope you have a great day my friend, and stay safe ❤️🙂🚒👨🚒.
Great job B39 and Chief.
That's pretty good that they could mostly contain the fire with the little hose frome the Type 7 brush rig!
you can knock a lot of fire with those lines! quickest water is the best water.
@@jerseyshorefireresponse No. The quickest water while wearing air is the best.
Like that 30 were on air stepping out from the engine and got the wet stuff working quickly. Good luck to all.
The fireman with the garden hose just wasn’t going to cut it 😬😆

@@Madmac96 You don't stand right next to the car and put it out with NO SCBA....

Are you a firefighter?
Guess the Challenger was at fault???? Not surprised if it was.
No clue
There's at least firemen there with no SCBA'S on, not even the chief. Smh
Hope the drivers are alright. Pesky little fire under that car.

That's not a Camaro, it's a base model Dodge Challenger.
was.
@@brandonseyfried1251 haha oh.

You shouldn't be coming off the truck with your mask and helmet on... it's a basic safety issue.

Thanks for the war story.
