Jobs like this, you have to be aggressive to save the property...........................this was once somebody's home.
Respect to the neighbours for having the idea to use a reciprocating saw to to gain entry to the garage and save the occupant.
Nice job as usual. Talk to the LPD chief about getting press credentials. Hopr all are OK!
Damn insane footage awesome coverage
Was there nothing else going on in this town that all the cops could be there?
Honestly nah. They love it
How do you get all these pre arrivals? You lighting the fires? Lol. Great footage as always. Nice job
I’ve got spots I sit in and stage on the weekend, this are is very close to it about 1.5 miles away. This is my second pre arrival in this area because of the spot I sit in. Thanks!
@@jerseyshorefireresponse love your footage, but the towns down there still have no excuse for you consistently beating them fires. It’s embarrassing to say the least.
No body have a fire extinguisher?
WTF do you think a 10 or even a 30lb extinguisher is gonna do to that??
Well... how about a 1 3/4 fire extinguisher?
@@JPINFV a 1 3/4 what? I could do more work with a garden hose.
@@shanestamball1886 1 3/4 fire hose...
It puts water on the fire... fire is extinguished... ergo... fire extinguisher.
@@shanestamball1886 1 3/4 inch hose line from an engine.
At least he had the right work ethic. That's more than I can say for that department.
The one thing that caught my attention was the cops walking around calmly as residents are sawzalling the garage open UNTIL it was opened then they start to yell for them all to back up right as the residents are about to pull the guy out. Seems like the cops just took credit for the residents rescue to me. They sure werent yelling back up when they had the sawzall cutting it open!!! Just my opinion and observation. Smh
WHOA DAMN FULLY INVOLVED PLUS HUGE FIREBALL
Okay last time I checked, SCBA units are integrated into the seats and should have been put on already. Everybody move at a snail's pace before we make the hose hard.
Someone give that Sawzall citizen a station shirt. He's the only one actually doing FF stuff.
We use C02 compressed gas. 4000 pounds of cold
Nearly 2 mins to charge a line. That's not good, unless you don't have tank water, which would be crazy
Someone was asking if anyone had a fire extinguisher...
Hard to say for sure but it sounds like the cops know what flashover is and they were trying to keep everyone back just in case that happened.
How about they stop barking orders at free citizens?
If a person CHOOSES to put themselves at risk to try and help another...STFU and leave them alone
Or better still, how about joining in to try and help
There has to be improvements in firefighting where it doesnt take 15 minutes between arriving and starting to actually fighting the fire
Maybe code enforcement should check the garage?
that cop does not understand at all
All they know is “ back up, back up “…….
WHOA 3rd alarm
Helping out is a good and natural thing to do. BUT!
Be sure of your capacities, and NEVER become another victim.
If there are already people helping, dont decide to become a burden.
The officers who were needed to push back the civilians could have been helping, instead of being forced to control bystanders who became a hazard.
Fire fumes CAN kill you. Escaping heat can burn you to death. Piling up will slow down the whole rescue.
fire "FUMES" ???? Guess I missed the cops wearing scott packs
@@slackjawedyokel1 newsflash; english is not spoken or used the same way everywhere. But if nitpicking rocks your boat, enjoy your moment.
@@Greylocks the odd terminology you used was actually the lesser part of your statement being wrong. The cops were pushing away people with tools and skills --
You did a good thing by backing up when told the first time
Back up, Back up
Looked like garage had drywall wall behind garage door, may have been living quarters for person rescued.
Yes it was
Anyone have a fire extinguisher? That kind of tickled me. I was watching the flames trying to imagine what it would do.
All the pedestrians cutting and trying to rescue the guy inside. Of course the cops making them all try to get back. WTF
Absolutely positively no motivation on this department side. How long does it take to charge a line and get it in service? How long does it take firemen to actually do their job
Water??
Someone needs to explain to the cops they need to stay out of the way. Otherwise put on bunker gear and go inside. Bet they won't. The last thing we need at a fire is a bunch of guys that wouldn't know what to do if you told them. I don't know what the water source was, but it seemed like they were waiting on a cop to give the okay to flow water. Later I see an engine connected to a plug. As to the fire...been there, done that, have the merit badge. Moving a charged line is a pain in the tail. It has been a few years, but I am still good for an exposure line.
Gotta love when cops block the front of the house with there cruisers.
What's the crowd with a hose at the front door doing?
I'm surprised they didn't stop for coffee ☕
Who says they didn't?
@@JB91710 yeah but they got it to go --dont judge
@@slackjawedyokel1 So, putting your burning house out eventually is OK with you? It's enough that they at least showed up and saved the foundation? Mediocrity Rules!
@@JB91710 is that what you took from my joke ? Lighten up deck gun boi
When they tell you to back up, BACK UP!!! You’re wasting time. (Not you, you’re awesome bro and you’re not emotional) the people in the video!!! Move!!!
Just like in most situations we don't want to do anything but we won't let you either
The world number one moksham sabitha
Till i continue
Hey Jersey Shore all those cops and nobody hassled you to move.
lol they aren’t always rude.
It takes these guys an eternity to get water on the fire once they check on-scene.
The fire dept. response time absolutely disgusts me. How many more people have to die before they provide adequate professional coverage in the Jersey shore area. One Engine and one Ladder in Lakewood is totally in appropriate and the township should be ashamed of themselves for providing inadequate coverage for a town that large.
Fantastic footage. I hope the person who was in the garage makes a quick, and full recovery. With that wall that was up against the garage door makes me wonder if the person was living in the garage. Have a great day my friend, and stay safe ❤️🙂⚘️🚒.
From what I saw it was a full converted garage
