Remember, this video was made 6 years ago. Back then the Vaccinator really was the worst, and even professional medics wouldn't use it. Nowadays it's actually viable because of the buffs it got from Jungle Inferno.
I’ve never seen somebody be able to react quick enough to block out most of the damage types when the team focus fires. Just switch to explosion or bullet depending on enemy team comp and keep it like that don’t try to quickly change it and block it because chances are you won’t be able to react to the pill coming towards you a frame after you just blocked the snipers body shot.
I have my strange kritzkrieg named to "Strange Professional Killstreak Medi Gun" and my strange Medi Gun named "Strange Specialized Killstreak Kritzkrieg", so as to fool enemy spies if they're careless when they check on which medigun I'm using. #compnerd
The reason why I rarely use Stock is because you have no knockback resistnce compared to QF which is a powerful trait since pyros have no chance of blasting you away. The Quickfix can have a similar effect on the battle like the normal Uber. Just use more people to push and this should be no problem.
It's nice to see the Quick Fix getting some love. I remember a time when it was universally trashed for being the worst medigun, but thanks to some buffs it's getting the attention it deserves.
It's GREAT for pocketing certain classes like Scouts (Quick Fix + Shortstop is hilarious), Soldiers (Wheeeeeeeeee) or demomen (Also Wheeeeeee). But you just can't get the full use out of it healing the other classes since it's the mobility that really makes it shine.
I find it's good a when you're at choke points. When there's a defined line between your own team and the enemy team with people taking bullets left and right, you don't tend to care about overheal. That's when the extra 40% healing speed shines, especially when you pop über and have your teammates ready to go back to the front in two seconds.
Personally, I love the quick fix. The increased mobility, faster healing and uber that can be used on point is incredibly awesome. Not to mention, its good for keeping mulitple allies in battle with the increase heal times.
I was gonna post the exact same thing as you but now I can just like and respond to this :) and honestly the quick fix is my go to medigun. Especially for combat medic
From experience with vaccinator 1) You can choose the invincibility effect (fire, gibs, bullets) and one time someone headshot my soldier and he took 33 dmg (prob a shpee) 2) Easy for escaping and ditching your friends 3) Fast healing rate and it's split into 4 ubers 4) Can be strangified with the collector's-it's expensive as fuck
now it is probably the best if you know what you are doing, to the point unless a spy or a demoknight rushes you are...pretty safe...also it is hands hands down an S tier weapon against bots.
The Vaccinator actually is quite good on pubs. When you say "don't bother with the ubercharge" on it you couldn't be ANY farther from the truth on how to use this gun. In pubs people group up and form concentrated assaults FAR less often, usually just running out of spawn and dealing with problems as they happen. Ontop of this your uber charges at a ridiculous rate, ALWAYS charging at the maximum rate even at times the Quickfix wouldn't, and can be popped at 25%. This means you always have uber to use and should be using it whenever the opportunity arises. Scout starts flanking you? Pop bullet uber. Pyro ambushes? Pop flame uber. Demo or Soldier starts firing at you? Pop explosive uber. The biggest problem with the vaccinator is that you cannot use it like any of the other 3 mediguns, you HAVE to play an aggressive medic with it or you won't be using it right. It heals and protects the medic to allow them to be in spots they have no right being and keep fighting regardless. Also the fact that it protects you from crits means that when on bullet res you cannot be killed by a head shot unless it's fully charged and you're hurt, and you and your medicbuddy are safe from any random crits they encounter unless you DO meet a diverse group of players (which isn't that common on pubs.) It is a medigun that, if you look at it in a competitive sense or use it like any of the other 3, it's shit. But if you use it in it's own special way on pubs, it can really outshine the others.
Mr Slin, you forgot No. 4 with the vaccinator, 4. Absolutely strong if you pocket a friend with it. The quick ubers make short work of anyone trying to target the medic. Its insane. Pocketing a friend with any medigun is great, but vaccinator is the best.
My pub loadout that I use the most: -Strange Blutsauger renamed to "The Leach Launcher" with the description of "It lazily launches life looting leaches" There is no regard for medics in pubs. Fuck m1 pyros. THEY ARE EVIL! D: I can 1v1 a heavy, scout, or pyro at close range and win most of the time with anywhere from 25% to 90% health. I'm actually really good at keeping the needles on the enemy and the damage can be insane. -Quick-fix I can keep my team alive as well as a kritz-kreig, medigun or vaccinator while still dealing out damage. I can switch my playstyle to a pure healing medic from a combat medic mid-life and be the reason we defended an area. -Festive Killstreak Bonesaw It was a gift that I made a killstreak weapon. I just don't like the other melee weapons (they're boring to me) even though they're better a lot of the time. All of the money I spend on TF2 is made from selling things to the steam market, so I don't have to many other fancy melee weapons.
Clash of Clans RayMan Mine is Blutsauger Medigun (or QF when I'm aggressive and I need the job done fast) Bonesaw (I want the Amputator. Don't have one. I'll try and craft one tho)
The vaccinator is actually my favorite medic gun, because it's a more challenging gun, and I like the more recent uber charges, also what I mostly like about it is that I don't need to hold the healing on team mates while they ubered, so I can send a scout against soldier with explosive resistance. it also makes demomen and Heavys speechless, It's also awesome because I can ubercharge four teammates at the same time. it is annoying that I can't over heal scouts faster and I think that Demoknights need to get banned, I freaking hate them, some times they are invincible. I ounce played against good enemy team with vaccinator medic, at long distance combat they were really hard to take down, they just putted bullet resistance on a heavy and it was easy for them to dodge the rockets and pills so it made them invincible and scouts were speech less against them. after playing against them, it made me tryout the Vaccinator.
I really like that video title is "The Right" instead of "The Best" or somethin. Everything depends on playstyles, experience, team and many others. My personal choice is the Quick Fix since you can mantain your team's health much easier without Ubercharge. Also it charges faster :)
I disagree on the number of players issue as far as Quick Fix vs. Medigun goes. What use is it to be able to heal to 150% health if everyone on your team is at 35%? The Quick Fix may not be able to overheal as much as the Medigun, but it can bring a mass of teammates up to full health a lot faster. The Medigun is useful for small amounts of players because they're less likely to have all taken a bunch of damage and you have time to overheal some of them fully.
CocoaNutCakery When quick fix came out, it couldnt even overheal, and still was a good weapon. Now that it can overheal, is even better, and really really does its job, which is keeping everyone alive! What's more, if multiple people are injured, you can restore their health in a pinch with the ubercharge.
***** Oh, man. I love that part of it. The ability of the Quick Fix to enact a double push is just amazing and terrifying. Do a dry push, people on both teams get injured, then Quick Fix everyone back to full and immediately push again when the entire enemy team is recovering and not expecting it.
I couldn't help but giggle a lot when you added the Spaceballs chunk when talking about the Quick fix. Also, your choice of words never fails to make me laugh. You do great work Array. Keep it up!
Dunno if anyone wants to provide feedback, but...medigun idea! The Rogue's Remedy: * Medibeam reveals cloaked spies * Medibeam damages enemies on contact * Healing a sentry damages sappers * +10% max Medibeam length * +25% faster move speed on wearer and patient * -50% max overheal * -25% heal rate Ubercharge: * +125% heal rate * +150% Medibeam damage boost Yes I am fully aware this is the anti-spy medigun. I literally named it that.
+Gibus Engineer Sounds fun to me xD Nah, there's actually a method to my madness. The 25% speed is just enough for some classes to move faster than the spy. But heavy, being the slowest, is not included in those classes.
+Asiru This is what I thought when I first played Tf2: that the medigun beam dealt damage. I have since learned that this is not the case. Would be cool though
The Vaccinator grants critical resistance to the selected damage type and when mitigating damage with the Vaccinator, 25% of that damage is restored to the Medic as health. I think you didn't give the Vaccinator a fair assessment by skimming over these attributes. It's actually quite good on less populated servers.
It's very situational though. As someone said earlier in the comments, it leads to unintentional pocketing. This is because the short ubercharges force you to use at least 2 of them in quick succession when pushing through chokes. The Vaccinator is good for getting in and escaping very quickly, but not much else. Sure, you could say headshot resistance is a nice thing to have, but you can easily bypass that problem by just staying out of sniper sight lines. Escaping from pyros is the only thing I've used this really effectively for more than once thus far.
Chillax TF It's amazing at intentional pocketing, though. No matter which enemy shows up, you always have the right uber to resist any damage to your pocket, Heavy-Medic combo was never so terrifying before the vaccinator. But if you play team-medic, it is really a bad medigun as you said.
Tips for Vaccinator: 1. Block the most dangerous damage type only. For eg, when the greatest damage dealer in the enemy team is explosive, you don’t need to switch to bullet for a noob scout who try to snipe you with a scattergun. 2. Always mind your surroundings and predict the incoming damage instead of trying to react to it. For eg, switch to bullet when you enter an open area or switch to explosive when you push through choke points. Vaccinator is a medi gun for a quite competent medic. It requires you to think and react all the time. Since its hard to buff your teammates with this gun, you will be punished very hard for making wrong decision. But if you use it well, it counters Krtizkreig quite well and not worse than stock and quick fix. Plus this the best medi gun to deal with backburner pyro.
Here is what I personally found most useful for each Medigun: pretty good all around Quick Fix: Pushing through a choke point, most of your teamates are getting hurt and you need to heal them quickly Kritzkrieg: grabbing a soldier capping, defending, and pubstomping. Vac: Good for flanking, as you probably will encounter a variety of classes
Medigun Idea: The Auroral Angel +25% Übercharge rate 20% of damage done by your heal target and 10% damage done to them by enemies is returned as up to 75 health to you Übercharge grants a healing circle around you (up to 270 hammer units), healing all nearby teammates at a 125% faster heal rate and granting 75% crit resistance on heal target +20% faster overheal decay rate -15% overheal rate +20% faster Übercharge drain Crafting recipe: Quick-fix x2, vaccinator x1, reclaimed metal
way too op m9, take out the extra damage done by the medigun's target, or the faster build rate and never forget the -no random critical hits aaaand is balanced
Medigun Idea: The time saver +5% movement speed on slower classes +10 Heal rate +2 health per second while holding medigun More crit resistance the higher ubercharge is On death keep half of the ubercharge -1 second ubercharge duration -10% ubercharge build-up -5% damage vulnerability No random critical hits
Let me hear from a good, solely pub player on his opinion and then I'll learn something. The vaccinator has saved my and my target's life more times than I can count so far, so unless you count these weapons/tools in the public scene, it really isn't a fair point. Competitive is so restricted to how you play (both in rules and in mindset) I have seen tf2 players simply quit due to lack of variety. I have no care for what your competitive friend has to say. I don't hate competitive, but if we are talking about best options, include ALL people and play-styles please. Thank you and I bid you the best of future Team Fortress 2 endeavors.
In team fortress 2 your taking damage form many classes for example what if a heavy and pyro came at you? If you changed to fire res the heavy would get you. If you went bullet res the pyro would get you. Vaccinator is most often the worst medi gun.
Shane Fowlstone It's not always about your target. I see your point, but the same argument could be made for the other mediguns. The vaccinator is good for dispersing heals and keeping everyone alive in a push, not necessarily for pushing itself. Also, side note: Most likely, you and your target with be getting the same type of damage in combat.
orcy64 The normal medigun or just other mediguns in general? The normal medigun can deploy uber to save you from an incoming attack, and the other types can still be used to give a defensive retreat if needed. I've personally used the quick-fix multiple times for this since it's uber builds faster.
I prefer the Quick Fix because #1 it does Medic's primary task better than any other medicgun: heal your teammates, #2 Q.F.'s uber effect is almost identical in usefulness like stock due to it being a super healing effect that makes you and your teammate nearly unkillable, #3 like how rocket jumping is important for Soldier to get around quickly, and Sticky Jumping for Demo getting around quickly with them is important if you want to keep your teammates alive
The Vaccinator is pretty useful when the enemy team starts to abuse on demos and soldiers, or heavies and snipers. It would be a good weapon if it wasn't for the fact when you take a huge hit (like crocket) while ubering, it takes away all your charge to endure the hit, and the fact you can't change the resistance type while ubering. Still, I find it useful on big servers where are other medics on the team, so I act as backup, protecting the medics with resistence so they can charge their ubers under fire. It's also pretty useful for map objectives, since you can move the cart, get the intel and capture a point while being protected by the uber.
Actually, since they buffed/broke it crits are always blocked if you are on the correct resistance type. They only drain uber if you are ubered when they hit. It becomes a game of "is the solly gunna crit?"
***** You're right, the boost is the same. Still, this is probably the best when you have to expose yourself a little too much as a medic, since it can give you 10% less damage AND heals you for the damage your teammate takes. I'm just trying to say it can be useful in some situations (let's not forget the uber doesn't allow you to capture/push/take the point/cart/intel. It's a close match to quickfix, really. I think the quickfix is slightly better for objectives though, but at least the vaccinator can give its benefits without being fully charged, which can be good for a last effort before the time runs out.
Why do the coolest looking weapons always have to be the worst? Vaccinator: What they said in the video. Sharpened Volcano Fragment: Sets people on fire on hit, something you could just do with your flamethrower, but has a huge damage penalty. *YOU ARE THE MOST BADASS LOOKING WEAPON IN THE GAME! WHY MUST YOU SUCK SO MUCH!?* The Classic: Having the sit for 5 seconds to get a head shot makes it useless.
Unlike most people with the sniper class, I only use the default medi-gun if I have to. To start the round with a bunch of overhealed teammates or to take out a sentry nest. I prefer the quick-fix over anything. I hate the stress of timing a major uber correctly, and slow/default healing rate eventually takes away my patience.
My prefernces: Quick-Fix Medi Gun Kritzkrieg Vaccinator Easy way to make the Vaccinator better? Make it so you're resistant to ALL damage or those 3 (exlosion, bullet, fire) at a time and make it so overheal builds normally. Done
That would kind of ruin it's gimmick, not to mention it'd be insanely OP (crit immunity and almost complete damage immunity to anything that isn't melee at BASICALLY all times because of how fast it builds charges) You could remove the charges thing, but then it's literally just a worse stock
As far as I'm aware if you pop and switch damage type it'll display 🛡+🛡 over the patient's head, indicating each damage type they're resisting. However, I suspect this means they're übered against whichever type you popped with and have standard resistance to the new type you switched to; so popping on one, switching to the next relevant damage, then popping on that to give simultaneous charge effects will, as far as I'm aware, make them übered against all types you popped on. In a real pinch I pop all three types and the increased survivability of my patient really shows. Interestingly, nobody in this comments section seems to address this.
I always use Quick-Fix, it's great for both offensive and defensive medics, wanna get to the frontlines fast and heal your teammates who are far away? Just heal a scout and you'll get there fast, wanna get to higher places? Just heal a soldier or demo and tell him to rocket/sticky jump to there. Its a very useful weapon... *except when theres 4 spies in the enemy team*
***** I realised you read them all, you knew about the confusion of people never getting an answer to their question of life but finally: THE SECRET HAS BEEN UNVEALED!
I quite like the Quick Fix and the Kritz can be really good at times. BUT I also have a *Strange Professional Killstreak Australium Medi Gun* and well... It's gold... I just can't *not* use it!
I'm the same with flamethrowers... I know the Degreaser is what everyone says I should use but my Strange Australium Flamethrower disagrees. (Professional Killstreak SOON)
That moment when you realize that the Quick-Fix is the canon Medi-Gun. That other moment when you realize that the Vaccinator is, as of yet, the most technologically sophisticated Medi-Gun.
i disagree with the vaccinator, if the enemy team is stacking heavyedic, scouts, or demo/Sully then that is when the vaccinator truly shines with its -80% damage income while popped. while it might be situational, it is tremendously useful if you know how to user your charges right.
When I first got the kritzkrieg, I thought when your ubercharge someone, along with being indestructable, it gives your patient 100 percent crit chance, like it said in the description.
New medigun idea: The Overhealer 50% less overheal, overheal does not decay, overheal is at vaccinator speed For every 5 damage your patient does, you get 1 hp in overheal (this might be OP.) Ubercharge comes pretty slowly, 25% slower. Ubercharge lasts the same as stock, and effects are like the quick-fix.
The good thing about the Kritzlrieg, that you guys left out is that you can heal yourself with it and with that you can… -regenerate faster so you can go raus and take a few more hits while not falling behind -save yourself from burning to death -spicing up 2fort party‘s
A little bit about the vaccinator: Blocking out a specific damage type is actually really good, yeah if you get some focus fire on you you're toast but that's usually not the case in casual, and even in a case that there is a group of focus fire you can at least help mitigate SOME of their damage (or just avoid them entirely, focus fire is kind of a death sentence on pretty much any medigun that isn't stock) You're also REALLY understating how useful the charge being split is, this thing basically ALWAYS has a charge ready to deploy so when you get good with it it really is a huge boon to have (yeah it's not complete damage immunity every 40 seconds, but it's practical immunity to one type at a time, at basically all times) There's also the matter that it's REALLY fun to use compared to the other mediguns, since you get uber so often, and that uber is dependent on YOU to choose the appropriate type, it's a lot more involved on the medic's side than just 'right click every 40 seconds' The slower buff is really the biggest downside to it, and I don't really have any ways to defend it, but downsides are downsides and I don't think it invalidates the weapon
@@aayushdesai3259 and it became way too good on cop. Low playerbase means those shields can be popped constantly to lock down a point almost indefinitely, especially the last one. I love using it myself but the catch is that it requires a good team that can coordinate and keep in mind how the Uber works. Or you can go to a pub, let it on bullet resistance, and laugh as half the enemy team will be snipers and scouts, with only fire being sometimes necessary for when the inevitable flog jetpack Pyro jumps in to Leeroy Jenkins his way to the Intel room. One thing that could be done is to make the damage reduction scale depending on the amount of players, so on pubs it would reduce 12% and 6s only 6%. The Uber damage reduction would also be affected accordingly
The vaccinator is more effectively used in MvM, as the mini fibers are effectively instant revives. Any other ubercharge you may need can be dealt out with the canteen specialist upgrades.
I prefer the Quick-fix regardless of the situation, even if we've already got a medic. I like the increased healing speed and the fact that I can get to the front where i'm needed incredibly fast by healing a scout/sticky jumper demo
I like the quick fix cos I just love to either follow a scout or trolldier, or just use a rocket jumping soldier to fly off onto a ledge, plus its more convenient to heal fast teammates and pocketing rly good rocket jumping soldiers, or a trolldier.
I have an idea for a medi gun. Overman Functions like a normal medi gun but... the uberhcharge has two segments. When it's deployed, it gives 4-second ubercharge to two people only. The only problem is that when you are carrying it, the Medic will not regenerate. You have to switch to primary or melee so that you can heal
I personally cannot live without the quick fix the faster healing rate is really useful for me who wants to spread the heals evenly and keeping multiple people alive
I start a round of defense with a Kritzkrieg and a round of offense with stock. Once I inevitably die, I switch to Quick-Fix unless the situation demands a different medigun.
My favorite med gun is the stock paired with the Uber saw and crossbow, despite what people may think it’s probably the best combat medic loudout in my opinion. It works well with a good team but the stock medgun also lets you protect yourself and get some free kills while switching between your saw and medgun allowing you to get the job done by yourself. Also the crossbow does an insane amount of damage lol.
i often switch mediguns during a match. For the initial push out of spawn I use the Medigun for the damage immunity and after that I use the Quick-Fix for its fast healing.
The medigun is what you use when you wanna coordinate to push through a sentry nest and give your pals a good extra chunk of health to better deal with sticky situations! The quick fix is for when people think being over-healed makes them indestructible and existence has become a constant struggle of keeping your teammates from wandering over to the nearest enemy only to forget how to move.
Don't know if the Vax got any changes since this video but it is easily my favorite. You play your cards right and you can stiff the enemy. I remember holding the enemy at their spawn and they could never kill most of the guys around me.
OK, this video needs a remake because at Meet you Match the Quick fix got nurfed and others got buffed (I think with the last one). The ability to match you speed with your patient was given to all medic guns that update.
I have an idea on how to improve The Vaccinator. Maybe replace 4 mini-charges with 3, but add melee immunity and buff the charges, reducing the damage in like 80-90% or straight up completely negating it.
The Vaccinator used to be a great pub medic weapon as it made a medic a lot less vulnerable. It's biggest downside was just the fact that it's ubers, even if all four are used at once, aren't the huge stalemate breakers that the other mediguns can be, but it was still pretty good. It used to be my favorite but it's pretty damn crummy right now...
another thing with the quickfix if you are using the ubersaw you can chain uber by hitting an enemy then switching back to the quickfix to quickly regain all your health its extremely effective
Personally I love the Vaccinator because of how flexible you can be. Instead of worrying when is a good time to pop an Über, you have up to 4 Übers that offer 70% resistance at your disposal. And instead of having to go through the trouble of getting another Über after losing it, you can quickly get more by healing injured teammates. This allows me to help my teammates push forward easily and overwhelm the enemy.
One thing array got right was switch to the quick fix for bad teams. I've been doing it for years now and the quick fix can damn turn the tide of the match because usually my team is getting rolled when I switch too it.
Despite the inferior uber of the Quick-Fix, if you rarely get an ubercharge, it doesn't matter, and there are actually few times when the superiority of the stock gun's uber actually shines. The greatly inferior overheal perhaps hurts more, but when you're in a situation where you're healing multiple targets and don't even have enough time to heal them up to the full overheal capacity, the Quick-Fix is definitely superior. In that same situation, if you're likely to die before you get any ubercharge, even with the Quick-Fix, it's practically an immense upgrade from the stock. For noob Medics, and for people who suck, just like me, I would strongly recommend the Quick-Fix over the stock. Doing this, I routinely get in the top three on every team at the end of every match, or close to it.

From experience with vaccinator
1) You can choose the invincibility effect (fire, gibs, bullets) and one time someone headshot my soldier and he took 33 dmg (prob a shpee)
2) Easy for escaping and ditching your friends
3) Fast healing rate and it's split into 4 ubers

Caramel-Flavoured Clotted Cream Foreskin Penis w/ Extra Condom The Vaccinator is a Sniper's worst nightmare. That or a spy with a flamethrower.
Terrible with over heal dont forget that, but who needs iver heal, am i right?
SHUTS DOWN MOST AIMBOTS
The Vaccinator is BY FAR my favorite medi gun. I love how you can protect team-members without an Uber.
now it is probably the best if you know what you are doing, to the point unless a spy or a demoknight rushes you are...pretty safe...also it is hands hands down an S tier weapon against bots.
Also the fact that it protects you from crits means that when on bullet res you cannot be killed by a head shot unless it's fully charged and you're hurt, and you and your medicbuddy are safe from any random crits they encounter unless you DO meet a diverse group of players (which isn't that common on pubs.)
It is a medigun that, if you look at it in a competitive sense or use it like any of the other 3, it's shit. But if you use it in it's own special way on pubs, it can really outshine the others.
I love the Vaccinator so much and you're right. I always use it to help my teammates push forward
The Übers are very disposable, it actually took me some time that i can activate them very often and a bit carelessly, unlike the invincibility charge
1:43 "The go back to spawn hose" I wonder how many Mediguns were named after that...
The Quick-Fix's my favourite

Oh and a soldier with an unusal said to me i should take kritzkrieg or votekick btw.
I better setup a tf2 server where i can do alot of bullshit with cheat commands rather than following these idiot's instrucions.

You look like a nice guy.
Mr Slin, you forgot No. 4 with the vaccinator,

I can 1v1 a heavy, scout, or pyro at close range and win most of the time with anywhere from 25% to 90% health.
I'm actually really good at keeping the needles on the enemy and the damage can be insane.
-Quick-fix
I can keep my team alive as well as a kritz-kreig, medigun or vaccinator while still dealing out damage.
I can switch my playstyle to a pure healing medic from a combat medic mid-life and be the reason we defended an area.

Finally, someone who appreciates the Vaccinator as much as I do! I'm, home.
How amazing.

“like anne frank locks doors” Medic being german intensifies
I really like that video title is "The Right" instead of "The Best" or somethin. Everything depends on playstyles, experience, team and many others.
My personal choice is the Quick Fix since you can mantain your team's health much easier without Ubercharge. Also it charges faster :)
There's one big counter to Quick-Fix: random crits :/
"This thing heals players like Anne Frank locks doors"
Lol wtf you say a lot of hilarious shit but that was welcomely unexpected lmao
CocoaNutCakery
Now that is how you demolish them. Screw stock, quick is way more fun! btw, nice image :b

But what if I'm watching this in the morning huh?
I couldn't help but giggle a lot when you added the Spaceballs chunk when talking about the Quick fix. Also, your choice of words never fails to make me laugh. You do great work Array. Keep it up!
Dunno if anyone wants to provide feedback, but...medigun idea!
The Rogue's Remedy:
* Medibeam reveals cloaked spies
* Medibeam damages enemies on contact
* Healing a sentry damages sappers
* +10% max Medibeam length
* +25% faster move speed on wearer and patient
* -50% max overheal
* -25% heal rate
Ubercharge:
* +125% heal rate
* +150% Medibeam damage boost
Yes I am fully aware this is the anti-spy medigun. I literally named it that.
+Asiru That makes a scout with full BFB a moon rocket which is modified to fly around the earth.
+Gibus Engineer xD What about if the speed boost was only for slower classes?
Asiru Then heavy becomes a horse.
I agree I think the vac is amazing
It's very situational though. As someone said earlier in the comments, it leads to unintentional pocketing. This is because the short ubercharges force you to use at least 2 of them in quick succession when pushing through chokes. The Vaccinator is good for getting in and escaping very quickly, but not much else. Sure, you could say headshot resistance is a nice thing to have, but you can easily bypass that problem by just staying out of sniper sight lines. Escaping from pyros is the only thing I've used this really effectively for more than once thus far.
Chillax TF
It's amazing at intentional pocketing, though.
No matter which enemy shows up, you always have the right uber to resist any damage to your pocket, Heavy-Medic combo was never so terrifying before the vaccinator.
But if you play team-medic, it is really a bad medigun as you said.
Actually with the new buff it got, it resists all critical damage. At all times. Which is kind of amazing.
It is absolutely amazing. Don't know why nobody likes it
Quick fix is so underrated :D
That's my Go-to in pubs because I dish out more healing, and it's uber isn't all that much worse than default.
Tips for Vaccinator:
Here is what I personally found most useful for each
Medigun: pretty good all around
Quick Fix: Pushing through a choke point, most of your teamates are getting hurt and you need to heal them quickly
Kritzkrieg: grabbing a soldier capping, defending, and pubstomping.
Vac: Good for flanking, as you probably will encounter a variety of classes
Medigun Idea:
The Auroral Angel
+25% Übercharge rate
20% of damage done by your heal target and 10% damage done to them by enemies is returned as up to 75 health to you
Übercharge grants a healing circle around you (up to 270 hammer units), healing all nearby teammates at a 125% faster heal rate and granting 75% crit resistance on heal target
+20% faster overheal decay rate
-15% overheal rate
+20% faster Übercharge drain
Crafting recipe:
Quick-fix x2, vaccinator x1, reclaimed metal
way too op m9, take out the extra damage done by the medigun's target, or the faster build rate and never forget the
-no random critical hits
aaaand is balanced
Medigun Idea:
The time saver
+5% movement speed on slower classes
+10 Heal rate
+2 health per second while holding medigun
More crit resistance the higher ubercharge is
On death keep half of the ubercharge
-1 second ubercharge duration
-10% ubercharge build-up
-5% damage vulnerability
No random critical hits
an extremely lovely shpee It's not damage buffing the heal target, it's returning damage done to or by them as health to you
+Kingdom Hearts And Toontown Shenanigans thats way to op
I meant +5% damage vulnerability
Let me hear from a good, solely pub player on his opinion and then I'll learn something. The vaccinator has saved my and my target's life more times than I can count so far, so unless you count these weapons/tools in the public scene, it really isn't a fair point. Competitive is so restricted to how you play (both in rules and in mindset) I have seen tf2 players simply quit due to lack of variety. I have no care for what your competitive friend has to say. I don't hate competitive, but if we are talking about best options, include ALL people and play-styles please. Thank you and I bid you the best of future Team Fortress 2 endeavors.
Cheers mate
In team fortress 2 your taking damage form many classes for example what if a heavy and pyro came at you? If you changed to fire res the heavy would get you. If you went bullet res the pyro would get you. Vaccinator is most often the worst medi gun.
So why would the medigun protect you more
Shane Fowlstone It's not always about your target.
Nice background music. Hotel California is one of my favorite songs
Yea, it's old but good
dominick moulder my thoughts exactly
+SHMUGGERBUTTER Bros. Hotel California is one of the most nostalgic songs ever
"This thing heals players like Anne frank locks doors" XD
Adam Giraudet Yes, that's exactly what I said...
Nefos I was trying to emphasise that you gain crit resistance while unubered as well
*****
At least the slow overheal makes the uber fill much faster, since it goes at half speed when the health is at max.
*****
You're right, the boost is the same.

Easy way to make the Vaccinator better?
Make it so you're resistant to ALL damage or those 3 (exlosion, bullet, fire) at a time and make it so overheal builds normally. Done
***** "It's like you're actually like your playing the game, instead of just watching." ster_ on the vac 2013
That would kind of ruin it's gimmick, not to mention it'd be insanely OP (crit immunity and almost complete damage immunity to anything that isn't melee at BASICALLY all times because of how fast it builds charges)
You could remove the charges thing, but then it's literally just a worse stock
As far as I'm aware if you pop and switch damage type it'll display 🛡+🛡 over the patient's head, indicating each damage type they're resisting. However, I suspect this means they're übered against whichever type you popped with and have standard resistance to the new type you switched to; so popping on one, switching to the next relevant damage, then popping on that to give simultaneous charge effects will, as far as I'm aware, make them übered against all types you popped on. In a real pinch I pop all three types and the increased survivability of my patient really shows.
Interestingly, nobody in this comments section seems to address this.
Overdose and vaccinator go hand in hand

@the I've changed my mind. It's not underrated, it's underused

When I heard that joke about Anne Frank I almost died in laughter. I like your humour.

+Michael Liao "New" That was a scrapped idea by valve!
Really? o3o
That seems so OP... My god, the Scout would be so annoying though. He'd just bodyblock all the sentries.
complicated.
also wouldn't be op if you made a 450hp overheal limit
2:17 Array Seven vs Uncle Dane. Now.
why
The good thing about the Kritzlrieg, that you guys left out is that you can heal yourself with it and with that you can…
-regenerate faster so you can go raus and take a few more hits while not falling behind
-save yourself from burning to death
-spicing up 2fort party‘s
A little bit about the vaccinator:
Blocking out a specific damage type is actually really good, yeah if you get some focus fire on you you're toast but that's usually not the case in casual, and even in a case that there is a group of focus fire you can at least help mitigate SOME of their damage (or just avoid them entirely, focus fire is kind of a death sentence on pretty much any medigun that isn't stock)
You're also REALLY understating how useful the charge being split is, this thing basically ALWAYS has a charge ready to deploy so when you get good with it it really is a huge boon to have (yeah it's not complete damage immunity every 40 seconds, but it's practical immunity to one type at a time, at basically all times)
There's also the matter that it's REALLY fun to use compared to the other mediguns, since you get uber so often, and that uber is dependent on YOU to choose the appropriate type, it's a lot more involved on the medic's side than just 'right click every 40 seconds'
The slower buff is really the biggest downside to it, and I don't really have any ways to defend it, but downsides are downsides and I don't think it invalidates the weapon
The intro should of been "iL tAke StOck"

The Vaccinator needs a major buff.

Overman
Functions like a normal medi gun but... the uberhcharge has two segments.
When it's deployed, it gives 4-second ubercharge to two people only.
The only problem is that when you are carrying it, the Medic will not regenerate. You have to switch to primary or melee so that you can heal
i don’t know how outdated this video is but the vaccinator has become much better than described here, and not just because of bots
I know this is four years after the video, but I just noticed that the song in the background is Hotel California
I personally cannot live without the quick fix the faster healing rate is really useful for me who wants to spread the heals evenly and keeping multiple people alive
First video i have viewed. You balance knowledgeable conversation with great humor, subbed 4 lief man, thanks for Existing
Kritz will always have a place in my heart, bc it was the first thing I bought off the mannco store (yes, i am dumb)
I start a round of defense with a Kritzkrieg and a round of offense with stock. Once I inevitably die, I switch to Quick-Fix unless the situation demands a different medigun.
I love the quick fix. It is basically stock uber but faster in some cases.
I use the Quick-Bow combo, since I often prioritize healing (and I die more often than a spy)
In "Meet the Medic" it shows that the quick fix charge is an ubercharge but in the the real game it only does a shield.
i often switch mediguns during a match. For the initial push out of spawn I use the Medigun for the damage immunity and after that I use the Quick-Fix for its fast healing.
"We'll just sit here unappreciated" oof I do appreciate you Medics as a past Medic main I feel ya
I remember holding the enemy at their spawn and they could never kill most of the guys around me.
this was like 6 months before the changes in gun mettle which made the vacc what it is today
this helped me a lot, medic is my fav class, so thanks ArraySeven!
The quick fix is my favorite medigun because of the rate at which you can heal it’s insane
I thought the quick-fix was for when you need to change patients often
The Vaccinator used to be a great pub medic weapon as it made a medic a lot less vulnerable. It's biggest downside was just the fact that it's ubers, even if all four are used at once, aren't the huge stalemate breakers that the other mediguns can be, but it was still pretty good. It used to be my favorite but it's pretty damn crummy right now...
another thing with the quickfix if you are using the ubersaw you can chain uber by hitting an enemy then switching back to the quickfix to quickly regain all your health
its extremely effective
Every Medigun has a purpose and can extremely excel in certain situations.
There is another good thing about the vacsonator if the enemy team is trolling and are all pyros you can switch to the fire resistance
One thing array got right was switch to the quick fix for bad teams. I've been doing it for years now and the quick fix can damn turn the tide of the match because usually my team is getting rolled when I switch too it.
that Anne Frank joke caught me off guard
I love the Quickfix ^^
When I discovered that you can jump and dash with your healing targets I intantly put this thing on my fav list xD
