Aaron Galinsky Depends on how your going to drive it, I agree if your going to be drag racing it more than daily driving it then yes, a stall and slicks is a must. But, daily driving a stalled car bigger than say 2000 rpm is a pain on the streets. We did these combos on f-body cars without a stall all the time and the 4L60 performed great on the streets.
Tyler- hope all is well and everyone is healthy. Watching the fuel pump replacement brought back memories and made me count my blessings. Replaced two pumps in my lifetime and both were much easier. First was a 1986 Mustang GT 5.0 with an electric fuel pump. That was done in the driveway during a snow storm and required the removal of two straps and the tank was free. The other was even easier. 1978 Dodge Little Red Express Truck with Mopar 360 and if memory is correct the mechanical pump might have had only two bolts. These were done well before RUclips but I may have consulted a Chilton's Repair book. 😀 That was an entertaining and informative video. The fire certainly added production value. The Wizard is amazing!

I just bought a 94 z28 this summer.... it is the most fun Camaro I have owned. Mint full load low mileage T-top car. I am Soooooo glad I found it. Love it!!
We knew you couldn't resist! And I can't blame you either 😃
I knew when Tyler saw that Camero in the junk yard, we hadn't seen the last of it.
Lol when this video popped up i went "well yeah of course he did"
I thought these where ugly when they came out, now in my older age I like it.
Agreed... maybe because modern cars have gotten either so bloated and oddly proportioned, or needlessly angry and ugly.
Idk I still think it's kinda ugly
Nostalgia Effect
I think they look better than new Camaros. But 3rd gen beats it.
It’s an ugly car but I will admit the aerodynamics are very correctly engineered.
I love the way these look one of my favorite body styles.
I love how he holds onto the passenger seat while doing a burnout 😂😂
Donut "OG"...lol
Dad style
yeah that was some gangster ass shit
I knew he would buy that car when he seen it lol
Same here
I love how casually the wizard asks for the extinguisher
Not the time to panic. That's how people get hurt.
Hey Junior Mint, do you mind grabbing that fire extinguisher when you finish your lunch ?
Joker fire extinguisher..... Run
Urgent but not panicked, that's how to properly handle problems, something the general population clearly does not understand in the past few weeks.
Yeah and he didn't freak out and fall off the ladder.
I bought a mint 93 Z28 in 1995 with 14K miles, I was reading all the car magazines prior to buying it. All of them had good things to say, I knew I was getting one anyway. Besides the Trans am, at the time there wasn't anything better bang for the buck, It was a pleasure having it.
When I changed the fuel pump on my 2001 Firebird, I cut an access hole in the trunk. The pump comes right out the top.
Yeah my '96 Z28 had the access hole cut by the previous owner. Gets a lot of Camaro guys mad when you do it but I ain't dropping the fucking rear end to swap a fuel pump lol
Thats one of the reasons i love the old Land Cruisers. Access panels for everything, and everything has a drain bung.
That is how I changed the pump in my 97 T/A Way easier than doing all that crap. And and it doesn't look bad if you do right.. and even if it did look bad, it will be covered up by the carpet anyway
@@kabj06 I had mine done the same way. I've done it the hard way before....
I cut a hole in the box of my pickup. Would totally do it that way again. Truck is rusty and taking it apart would have been a can of worms.
Weezard: alright well have to change the pump
Tyler: ooohhh looks like a squiddd
Yes, we all saw the vid. No need to caption it for us..
2:06 Hoovie transforms into Chrisfix
damn its true
Bruhhhh hahaha!!
Love that era. Had a '96 with the 3800, 5 spd stick, posi and Y87 package. Handled great, light on it's feet and easy to get sideways even on dry pavement, unlike the previous gen 6 bangers. My cousin had a 95 Z, which was pretty wicked for that time. Nice to see a mint version!

I'm so glad you bought this 4th gen camaro.
I need more content on this beauty.
Oh.... congratulations to you and your wife.
18:01 not gonna lie, it’s laying down a sick beat.
14:35 Thanks Wizard, I'm glad a professional and well qualified mechanic shares my opinion on this fuel pump setup. I did the same thing on my third gen at home on jack stands
Dang, Tyler you're on a massive buying spree. I am loving it!! Also, Congratulations on your new baby..
As an owner of a 94, with less miles than that one even, I was wondering at first when the Wizard thought the pump was going to be that easy.
Drive your car more often. Not worth owning a car if it just sits.
It's similar to third gens. I was waiting for it too. Some third genners create an access hole in the trunk
@@gustavodelamora3676 yeup just cut the metal on the top that's what I was thinking would have worked here
The ole reliable trap door mod lmao
As the owner of a 92, this video reminded me I need to replace the pump, and I dont wanna
In the next upload the Wizard has to install a new starter due to Hoovie laying on the key for 1-2 minutes at a time trying to start it. LOL
I was cringing at how long he was on that starter. Surprised the mechanic didn't say something him. Oh well, not my Camaro not my problem lol
My money is on the optispark going out from the water pump pissing all over it 😊
I've got a 2000 convertible ss - blue/tan leather and top, automatic and I love the car
Man this guys channel is a hidden gem for car enthusiasts. Definitely deserves more subs!!
The welds on those "frame stiffeners" nearly made me cry...
The Wizard is a cool ass mechanic, he said he has a couple of hand gestures for this Camaro hilarious. Lol!
I think my favorite thing is watching Hoovie and Wizard work on cars TOGETHER! - It's amazing Brotherly, Kansas, Auto YT'ers, LOVE!
I freaking knew it! I saw that glimmer in your eyes when you saw this z. Enjoy they are a ton of fun
Haha that's exactly what I thought. It's only a matter of time before I get to see that on his channel.
I don’t know why I spend 20 minutes watching someone not be able to start a car but i do.
I do it because I can relate to it lol
Speed it up
I just realized 2010 was 10 years ago 😩
K A yeah
I still want this 😍
I knew we’d see you soon enough.😂
I made a comment on you stealing parts before i read this
I live in ok, and have a 25th T\A 383 stroker 35k on the motor and paper work, brand new transmission!!
You can have mine
I just got one it’s amazing
i love how wizard checks to see there's oil after crank :P
18:20
Rest in rip that starter motor
Rest in rest in peace? A bit redundant, but yes, that starter went through a lot this video. :(
Rip in peace
^ this guy gets it
Had a 94 z28, loved it. Wife totaled it unfortunately. They are amazing in nice dry weather and roads, add rain and hold on.
I cringe so hard when he just holds the key on the starting position and it keeps cranking 😭 .....prime it a couple of times
damit!
junior palomares yea that’s because Hoovie knows nothing about cars at all, hes just an entertainer.
@@jaredchampagne2752 I was thinking in my head Stop! lol
But its fuel injected......
But there would have been some air in the fuel line once they reassembled the tank & fuel line, but does not need cranking for that long..
its not a carb idiot
I love all the high dollar stuff.....but I think this one is one of my favorites
Scott Crockett this is worth more money than some of his stuff though. I guess I’m ignoring the Ferraris
when I heard 2010 I was “ it’s only a couple years ago. It is not that old. Oh wait ....”
Kinda sneaks up on us doesn't it? 😬
Feels like was yesterday to me.
When you have been out of school longer than you were in school. 😯😪
deadend that is scary
"teach me how to dougie" was out by the time this thing sat in a garage until now
I love watching yours and Wizards videos. You got a great sense of humor if you can post this one. I thought tripping over the impact was good, then the fire extinguisher! This one is going to be a classic. Best of luck getting her going. She's a beauty.
"Fire extinguisher, RUN!" I've said that once when working on my 73' Camaro. Maybe they are just prone to fire?
Justin Dean hey is a Hoovie. Im sure Tyler was seeing a Ferrari rerun
It's all welded together! 3 exhause clamps in view of the camera....
Vlad2 it’s probably gonna end up coming off again before it’s all fixed anyway lol
It was welded and clamped. You can see the weld when they zoom in on the exhaust
H,C,I and 4:10 gears will make it a fun little car to cruise around in. Back in the day, these cars were fun to play with.
May as well put a stall in it if youre gonna cam it.
1978 Dodge Little Red Express Truck with Mopar 360 and if memory is correct the mechanical pump might have had only two
bolts. These were done well before RUclips but I may have consulted a Chilton's Repair book. 😀
That was an entertaining and informative video. The fire certainly added production value. The Wizard is amazing!
That’s just doing anything with an lt1, you have to take the whole car apart for the little things lol, I have a 94 trans am and doing anything on it is a bitch. Headers, CAI, and a tuneup for the optispark, water pump and anything around, also good luck doing spark plugs and wires because they’re a bitch too
* Car runs for the first time in 10 years
Hoovie: IT'S BURNOUT TIME!!!
Yeah I would drain fluids and put new fluids before doing that
Great video. I inherited a 1976 BMW 2002 that had been sitting for 31 years. Took a whole lot more than that to get it back on the road!
