I just bought one at US$299. My first impression, omg, it is built like a Sherman Tank. I installed on my updated Remington 700 SPS 6.5 CM with 20 MOA canned plate. Without any adjustments, the first three shots from 100 yards right on bullseye within 1/3 inches group. Very impressive
@@EpikArms I'm not sure yet. I have a Savage 110 Tactical in 6.5 CM or a 6.5 Grendel it would work well on. I'm leaning toward putting it on the Savage.
I bought this exact Arken scope several months ago after waiting months and months to get it. When I got it the first thing I noticed was there is no arrows on the turrents to tell which way is up or down etc…and sorry that was a definite deal breaker and returned it. It is extremely heavy and the 34mm tube is enormous compared to a 30mm tube.
I have been checking my order for being shipped, every day for the last 2 weeks and finally last night it said "shipped". Now, I only have about 3 to 5 days to wait. It is going on a Bergara Ridge 6.5 cm with a Magpul stock.
I got mine yesterday and taking it out again today. IT'S OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!. I've got to gran and a half upper end scopes that can't even touch it. Ordering another one today. Well done Arkin

Been using Arkens for about 10 months now. The EP 4 is my favorite scope as far as bang for the buck goes. I like the Arkens as well as a Bushnell Forge, maybe a little better.

Bought one eleven months ago in MOA. Then I found a code for $100 off. Bought another one in MRAD a week ago. Then I tried the code again a couple of days ago. And it worked so I bought my third. Then yesterday I bought their off set 20MOA mount. It’s a great mount for the price. Can’t wait for their new EP 4 to be released. I appreciate your honesty. The glass is a little dark on the higher magnifications. I have to omit that I’m disappointed in other channels that are promoting this optic to be as good as a $1000 to $2000. I only take your channel, C_Does, Xring, Eagle eye and DLO as my go to channels for scope reviews.

On my Arken Arken SH Gen 2 parallax range marking are way off by about 100 yards, This is based off of surveyed distances of 50 and 100 yards. It focused ok but I would suggest not using range on the scope to estimate your target distance.
I had an opportunity to do a excellent real world side by side comparison at my leisure of a this scope an Arken 6-24×50 SH4 G2 and a Vortex Venom 5-25x56 I was at my rifle club when two of my fellow members were there with 22lr rifles one with the Arken mounted on it the other had the Viper Venom The current cost of the Arken SH4 G2 TMD is $290 from Youie outdoors the Vortex Venom is $135 more All I can say is if like me you're just getting into competitive 22lr rifle shooting and on as tight a budget as I am you simply can not beat the Arken SH4 G2 with the MOA reticle It was absolutely no doubt in my mind over 95% as good in every respect as the Vortex and 40% cheaper If you're in the market for a FFP scope for 22lr rifle competitive shooting there is no better bargain scope than the Arken MOA SH4 G2.
I ordered mine on December 8, 2020. A 8 week wait at that time. They noticed me in February that the wait was then 12 weeks. After 12 weeks I emailed them and they stated the wait was a solid 16 weeks except for the MOA model I ordered. The wait for it was then 18 weeks. I am now at 20 weeks and no news from Arken .
Ordered mine Dec 21'st and it just arrived today June 1'st that's way too long to wait really now time to open the box an see if it's been worth the wait

Hi Sergi, yes occasionally here in canada they get imported but they are not consistently in stock. If you don't need the amount of internal adjustment but want similar quality get the vortex venom 5-25×56 it's the same price in canada as the sh-4 when they come in. Otherwise yeah go to the USA buy one and come back. (Make a mail drop box) then it would be financially worthwhile
Nice scope- BUT the wait is excessive. I ordered on Jan 12, still no scope NOR ANY IDEA OF DELIVERY DATE. I cancelled two days ago- NO RESPONSE FROM Arken yet. It"s a great Chinese made scope- BUT the wait is absurd. I ordered another scope from Primary Arms (Also Chinese made) and it will be here in 2 days! Sorry guys, great product- BUT if you can't deliver for 3-4 months that doesn"t cut it!
It took 3 months to show up, but bang for the buck, a seriously nice scope. The only scope that had more bang for the buck was the MidwayUSA exclusive BSA 4-14x44 FFP milxmil scope that was $249 but has been discontinued for a while now.
@@15ericak compared side by side at 10 power and same parallax, Gen II 6-24x50 is slightly better at collecting light, but clarity/sharpness is not noticeably different between the two scopes. I like the tree style reticle in the Arken better. Both scopes are setup for mil (not moa). The eye box seems to be a little more forgiving on the BSA, but not a huge difference there either. It would be a step up over the BSA but mostly because of the reticle, illumination (which BSA lacks), 50mm objective lens, and the ability to go to 24 power. At 14x, it's all Arken. At 6 power, the reticle on the BSA is more useful, as the sub-tensions are not very easy to use on the Arken. The illumination does help at 6x on the Arken for picking out the cross-hairs.

Alex, just needing a bit of your expertise. Have researched a ton of scopes and have it down to the Arken SH4 gen 2 or the Athlon Midas BTR gen 2 (sfp). Price not a factor, which scope is the more durable, repeatable scope? Going on a 7mm Rem Mag.
hi Tony, i havent tried the Midas btr gen2 although glass wise it should be the same as our review of the ares btr gen 2. i would say the glass is slightly better in the athlon than the Arken. but you cant beat the Arken for the price, nothing even comes close
"20.88 feet at 100 meters" LMAO measurements can be such a mess. Why not 6.36m at 100m? Or 3.64 deg? Or best yet 218 moa or 64 mils, units most shooters would instantly relate to? :) My teasing aside, this was a good critical review. Thank you!

Hey Pat! Im close to Ottawa as well, Ive already sold the savage axis 2 precision, it was a nice rifle bu needed the funds to pay for the next project, just picked up the howa hcr in 6.5. Yeah you would need someone in the USA to mail you the optic as companies wont mail them directly as they are under the departmwnr of comerce, they would need some export liscence.
Also regarding the next best thing thats a tought one not many optics even come close, although shortly we will be reviewing the element hellix 550 cad about ffp with zero stop, not hd or ed glass though but apparently their tracking is as good as on the titan wich i have reviewed

Is it true that the picture become much more dark after x12 magnification ? Also what about inability to quickly catch the picture once you start look through and not point you eye exactly to the center ?
Its true for all optics that they will get darker as magnification goes up. This optic has a very sharp image however it is a bit on the darker side compared to other more expensive optics such as the strie eagle vortex venom ect. It is still however the best value for your $
you who are the most famous RUclipsrs and maybe the arken company will listen to it, tell them to make that same grid, but not like a pine tree 🌲, it's better to be a cross -:- that's cleaner and better image you will give us
as much as i cannot comment on build quality i can only base my opinion on what i can see and the data at 450 Athlon doesnt have an optic to compete with the Arken SH-4, if i was to compare the ares btr id say its glass was slightly clearer and brighter, and the turrets felt more positive, again almost twice the price
How was the parallax with that scope? Any issues with adjusting it out at various ranges? You overlooked commenting on that aspect, but great review otherwise.
so how do you use it. show how to use those hash tick marks. what do they mean. value at 200 , 400 800 yards.come on man , how do you use it. it comes with a bull shit Manuel that tells me nothing.
Good question Rooster, those hashmarks reffer to either milliradians or Minutes of angle. Since this isnt a BDC or bullet drop compensator, you need to calculatebthe balistic with a chart then based on that either dial or hold over your target. I wish i had a video explaining it.
Actually i did it intentionaly. So i could cut out more while editing so viewers dont have to wait between shots, so if i action the bolt nice and quick, you will see the shots in quick succesion. Also it adds +4 accuracy 😁

the only complaint i have with 6-24 Arkin is the eye box is very tight, you have to be right in line. it's very unforgiving.

Check out the Athlon line of scopes IMO HAVING had BOTH scopes THE
ATHLON line of scopes are superior and the prices are similar 😉👍🏻
I really wanted the EP4 with Japanese glass but it doesn't have an illuminated reticle. Guess I'll try the SH4 with Chinese glass.
Perhaps the EP4 is easier to see so no need for illuminated reticle..
Looking at putting this on a .30 Umarex Gauntlet for a EBR or PRS rig, as well as a hunting rig.
Still waiting on mine... At the time of my order (November), it was 6-8 weeks. Then it went from 12-16 weeks to just straight 16 weeks

Love the exposed turrets, but DAMN, you need meathooks the size of Joe The Cyclops hands to get around them.

If you’re doing long range shooting, most the experts will tell you to zero at 100yds

I've got this scope on my 25 aea varmint air rifle it's awesome. The part that only goes down to 25 yards is definitely not a deal breaker

What height rings are you running? Medium or High?

I put mine on a bergara with a 20moa picatinny rail and used medium height rings with perfect fit. Hope that helps

Arken or Athlon Argos gen 2 for a .223 chassis rifle? I have reward $ so the athlon would cost me about $100
The arken is a better optic, but at 100$ id buy the Athlon. For anything 600m and less the athlon is just fine

The Arken sh4 has better fit and finish. The discovery edprs has better glass all other specs are comparable.

the X5 is pretty decent, from memory its glass should be a bit better than the SH4

The vortex diamondback is outdated in featured now that the Arkens are here. 100% Arken

How was the parallax with that scope? Any issues with adjusting it out at various ranges? You overlooked commenting on that aspect, but great review otherwise.

Typically 24x it would still be sufficient at 18x tho

100% Arken, way more internal adjustment better glass (IMO) better feeling turrets, a zero stop. the diamondback tactical doesn't come close.

I would say it could work in ideal lighting condition, but I would strongly recommend spending more for some better glass.

so how do you use it. show how to use those hash tick marks. what do they mean. value at 200 , 400 800 yards.come on man , how do you use it. it comes with a bull shit Manuel that tells me nothing.
Good question Rooster, those hashmarks reffer to either milliradians or Minutes of angle. Since this isnt a BDC or bullet drop compensator, you need to calculatebthe balistic with a chart then based on that either dial or hold over your target. I wish i had a video explaining it.

why do you try to work the bolt as fast as possible? You don't look cooler, but you do look like a "try hard"
Actually i did it intentionaly. So i could cut out more while editing so viewers dont have to wait between shots, so if i action the bolt nice and quick, you will see the shots in quick succesion. Also it adds +4 accuracy 😁
Waiting 12 weeks still no scope! you can order anything from China will come quicker than order scope from this Arken !, get good scope from others!
as uch as the wait time is frustrating you still wont find a scope at this price this good. its worth the wait
