I bought mine a few months ago. Im a aircraft maintenance technician. This bike rack is an example of a phenomenal design and craftsmanship; the level of NASA creativity.
I am so glad I found this after researching 1UP and reading the drama that happened. Morally this is the company I can only support and will be making my purchase soon.
This video is a solid 14 out of 10 from me; excellent, succinct presentation. This gave me so much clarity over what is (to me) a confusing product category and the Quik Rack Mach 2. Thanks! Ordered.
Just purchased this rack with 1 add on. Couldn't be happier. I'm trying to sell my Yakima HoldUp Evo. I may have to give it away. No comparison. My Yakima wobbled in the hitch receptacle and I had to shim it with thin cardboard. Also, the front wheel had a tendency to come out of the hold down on rough roads. Some are complaining about the price of the Mach 2 but quality typically isn't cheap. My POS Yakima cost $500.
I saw this rack at a bike race in Grand Jct. It is awesome. I wish I had not previously bought another rack, but I may get one anyway and try to sell my other one.
This is the video that needs to be part of the QR code when you receive the rack. Super helpful, but I had to hunt to find it. How to mount the license plate frame isn't clear. Maybe show us what it looks like. I ordered it but it was missing from my box so I have no reference. Thanks
Find this after we spent $1600 dollars to be able to carry a trike and a Rad power bike. Great market out there as trikes are becoming more popular. Looks like a very good product.
Looks great and better feature improvements but just cannot justify the crazy higher $$$ for the rack + $$$ for add-ons over the similar but not quite as nice 1Up.
I like the license plate option so you don't get harassed by cops for covering it up when transporting your bikes. Although, you can still run into a jerk officer who could pull you over because you are required to illuminate it with a light (as if their headlights and flood light don't sufficiently light it up for them to see).
You push the metal pin in as shown at 3:04 and it prevents the lever from spinning. Use the key shown at 0:40 to pop the metal pin out and free the levers ability to spin. The key is a cylinder and couples the metal pin when inserting.
Gotcha! Thanks for the clarification. I assumed there was anti-theft but couldn’t be sure based on this video. Already placed an order and looking forward to using it :)
Hello I purchased the 1 1/4in rack. I can’t get the rack to slide into the receiver unless I pull the push pads out. I turn the lever multiple revolutions but the pads won’t sit flush. Without the pads the rack wobbles in the receiver. Is this normal? Thanks
I have four ebike and the weight limit with 2" hitch is 185lbs max for all four trays (one:120lbs, two racks: 240lbs, 3 rack: 300lbs, 4 racks 185lbs). The most I can take is 3 ebikes at +60lbs each. This also depends on the max tongue weight of your vehicle if you can add extra racks (mine is 500lbs).
This is a great bike rack for sure. But, HOLY COW! it's expensive. Three bike trays plus tax and it's near $2000. Four bike trays, a ramp, plus tax and you're at $2700

Glad you like it!!!

Placing my order soon 🎉
Like most people, I found out about this after I ordered a 1up lol

Would love to support the original inventor of the rack, but man; it's cost nearly 50% more...hard to justify.
Why does the ramp hook use flat head screws? Why not just use simple holes with panheads or socket heads?

It's a good point, Bryan. On our roadmap is a fully lighted with turn signals version. Just trying to find the time...and capital :) Bryan
Damn. They thought of everything
The price is justified only if it lasts a lifetime. Is there product support if it fails (ie. pins or latches failing) from regular use?
Hello, this looks to be a great product. Could you explain what prevents a thief from unlocking the blue levers and taking the rack?
Yes, please explain anti theft
You push the metal pin in as shown at 3:04 and it prevents the lever from spinning. Use the key shown at 0:40 to pop the metal pin out and free the levers ability to spin. The key is a cylinder and couples the metal pin when inserting.

Once the bikes are loaded - how do you get in the trunk without unloading the bikes? Does it have a way to tilt it?
It can tilt down for hatch access. You might be limited on opening your hatch depending on ground clearance and if you have 1-4 racks installed.
Pretty cool.

Thanks
Please email Support@QuikrStuff.com so we can help. There should be no wobble at all.
What is that like 2gran?
the value is one lifetime rack, to protect a lifetime of bikes! :)
can u have 4 eBikes, what's the weight limit
I’m curious about that as well

Do you have anything for tandem eBike?
Regretfully, not at this time.
The hitch pin does not come off for a 1 1/4 sized rack??? Only for the 2inch rack… yes???
This is a great bike rack for sure. But, HOLY COW! it's expensive. Three bike trays plus tax and it's near $2000. Four bike trays, a ramp, plus tax and you're at $2700
And if you want to add the Lock, the license plate holder and wheel straps, you've added another $260
Is the target buyer of a Quikr bike rack the same folks that are snow skiing at Deer Valley Utah where a day pass is $300 per day?
Neat.
