I just tried this today and I will always wash my strawberries this way… the water did indeed get a bit yucky and with a good final rinse I did not taste the salt or vinegar… Thank you for sharing!
Thank you, it's now soaking. Grateful for videos like this.
I just went strawberry picking today. I usually just watch my strawberries off with water and that’s it. But thank you for this strawberry hack I will definitely try this out.
Brilliant showing of how to wash strawberries, thank you
Vinegar and salt? It seems that would affect the taste.
@@avalonking8789 it dont
36 and I never knew this. Yikes. And I love strawberries. Thank you! 💛
I keep a dollar store spray bottle in the kitchen w half white vinegar and half water. I rinse them then spray the vinegar water on and let it sit for 20 min and rinse again.
This helped a lot now i'm more healty thank you🤗
You really taught me something that I would have eaten and it is my 1st time trying strawberries
First time eating strawberries wtf? Where do you live?
Its literary no need to do this.
@@dasmeltorp4705 so you wanna eat worms, dirt and insects?
Same
It's my first time

Thank you for the video- very simple instructions.
Thank you for sharing the tips.
Thanks for the tip on vinegar flavored strawberries. Just rinse them under warm water you’ll be fine
You know whats funny. If you “clean” them this way and wait abit and do it again, it still changes the water color because its just pulling the juices out of the berry.
well I mean I'd rather eat it like this then eat it with bugs..
@@hvppyharuki there were no bugs in that bowl lol
@@LG-Musique no bugs then ig dirt cause when i did this there was dirt and a few bugs, and it still tastes pretty much the same
thats not even fucking funny 🤡 you clown
Exactly and the debris in the water is all the little hairs on the strawberry’s.
Thanks I'm gonna do this from now on, from now on! Also what music did you use for this?
I soaked the strawberries that I picked today for 30 mins and they had alot of bugs.
The water actually turned pink probably because the strawberries are red and most of that 'grime' was from the green part that you don't eat and seed that dislodged from soaking like they are not meant to be soaked. Baking soda in cold water for a min or two and then rinse with clean water not water from tap. CLEAN WATER!!!
Holy cow! I’ve been doing it wrong all along. I will do this from now on.
All you have to do is dip your berries in one part vinegar three parts water, and don’t ever soak your berries because they are porous and will take on whatever flavor you put in the water. It’s not grime in that water - they’re only seeds.
I know I hate when ppl over due it 🤦🏻♀️
Is it necessary do to this? Or is it edible if you just rinse it in water?
@@lacost9 I think it means 25% vinegar 75% water, not so sure about the rest
I think the vinegar is meant to kill parasites living on fruit….
@@shaystar5008 and maybe other bad stuff like germs
I'm almost 60 years old and have never ever done this procedure so I must be full of grime and dirt but I haven't gotten sick thankfully..!!!!

I just did this and holy moly the water was filthy!
The water isn’t brown, lol it’s pink/red from the strawberries....
Yes This could happen to any fruit 😂 😂 😂
And The "grime" are seeds...
The little clear bugs that come out are a trip. I stopped eating strawberries and raspberries entirely after seeing this done first hand.
Not gonna lie, I've picked mulberries right off the tree and eaten those bad boys with the little bugs still on em 🤷🏽♂️
@@muhammod95 the bugs are just extra protein
You could have achieved the same result with just water. The red that makes the water look brown is because of the vinagre dismantling the strawberries.
Thank you for this hack
Thanks for sharing this video 💜💜
Thanks a lot.Are you Singaporean? It's my favorite country.
Edit: I did this and the water in which I soaked Strawberries turned completely brown .Glad I did this before eating Strawberries.
Thanks for the information.
I'm eating a strawberry right now. I just got them at Walmart
Soaking them in baking soda water for 15 minutes will get off more pesticides than vinegar or just about anything else.
Yes baking soda!!!
But they get mushy after 5 mins idk how she did this with out them getting all nasty
@@BishimDejajust did the vinegar thing sans one more ingredient (baking soda, which I luv!) and it worked perfectly. No mush and rinsing removed any vinegar taste.😊 Sometimes keeping it simple actually works!
@@Alan-71351 I believe vinegar and baking soda cancel each other out so I dnt think you need both but idk
Thanks for sharing ❤🥀
Will the taste differ
Don't they get soggy?
Why oh why did you not pull the leaves off before soaking???
Thanks my strawberrys had bugs
Hello. What is the name of the song that is heard in this video? Cool music!
Thank you!
Thank you ☺️
Thank you!❤️
Som people believe in eating dirty foods for immune health... But it is good to soak/rinse to remove pesticides...
Thanks!
Hi can you make a video the best way to wash FIGS. thanks
That's seeds and strawberry juice. You only need to rinse.
Merci
Does the viniger change the taste of the strawberries??
My Water was drinking wasn’t brown. Good on
I don’t know why people disliked but so did I
love the music
Can we skip vinegar??
Does it change the flavor of the strawberries at all?
Hi King, no change at all.
Where in the city are you getting them from 🤨
whats so gross about dust?
Will it leave that vinegar taste after?
Thanks for the help.
Wow that’s crazy all these years we ate bugs
I tried. My water didn't turn brown, at all
You had some clean strawberries then.
Then you are lucky to get clean strawberry 🍓😉
His strawberries are Asian
Same
Why do your strawberries look old and beat up?
My mom wash then all the time when we eat then
Appreciate the tip, but strawberries come from the dirt, and they pretty much leave the cleaning to the consumer, to avoid damaging them. It’s expected.
Will the strawberries still taste the same ?
Kinda but its sour
Why i will not eat that?
I don’t soak them I just clean them with my hands and gently rub the hairs off the strawberries and then dry them with paper towels.
can i use acv ? i dont have the white vinegar
Hi, yes you can use ACV then, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
If I have no vinegar than what I should do
Just rinse with salt water
@@ArneahBaytiong ok

food grade hydrogen peroxide, buy 35% and dilute 11:1 to make 3%.
Lemon
I mean.
How about cutting out the outer layer.
Are tou fucking stupid?
2:22 aren’t those seeds?? What’s gross about it?? I was looking for worms and bacteria
Those are parasites
Looks like the seeds to me
Can I use lemon instead of vinegar
Hi Tasnim, yes! you can also use lemon but do not oversoak. Just a few minutes will do.😊
@@ArneahBaytiong thank you
How do you get the taste of vinegar off them??
Just rinse well after soaking.😊
But don’t oversoak. Just 3-5mins will do.
Is it warm water or not??????
No, just tap water w/ normal temperature will do.
Can we wash strawberries in soda?
why would u want to wash them with soda ....
@@gracielee3282 it takes out all the insect , that are hidden inside the strawberry
Why do you wash off all the protein? That’s the best part
Yea I was about to say. I don’t think they are dirty I think the water is just absorbing all the nutrients
You only need to wash it first

what type of vinegar?
I used cane vinegar here.

That's strawberry fuzz and a few seeds. The colour is from the strawberry's leaching there red colour. The strawberries you should avoid are the ones from Australia as they love to insert sewing needles into the berries hoping someone would get one lodge in there throat
I thought all those things were just seeds
They are lol…idk who they’re trying to fool.
@@Shenanigan1720 i soaked my fresh strawberries in water and apple cider viager today just to see....... and little white tiny worm like things came out... ( i only saw a few but i was disappointed) just bought the berries from the store yesterday :/
Salt!!??!?!?
What kind of vinegar
Hi Alease, here I used cane vinegar.
Does this make them taste like vinegar?
Nope, just rinse well the strawberries after you soaked them in vinegar+water.
Do they taste like vinegar?
Hi Carmen, no.
@@ArneahBaytiong Thank you
I waited 5 mins and i did not found bugs
That means where ever you got the strawberries (e.g the supermarket, the people who pack them), they did a good job at cleaning it
I ate strawberries did not wash it
Does it affect the taste
No Nichole. :)
Make sure to rinse off well and it wont effect the taste

You ruin strawberries with vinegar. Water is enough

Yummy!
Lol that’s unnecessary.
You only make them mushy. You shouldn’t do this and store them they will go bad. The hair on them and dirt keeps them fresh longer in the fridge. Just rub them softly under running water when you want to eat some.
Thank you for noisy music
Mene kha liye bacteria kuch nahi hua
Organic strawberry's anyone?
Dirt is good for ya. As long as it's not contaminated
it’s not necessarily good for you it’s just not bad
The water is pink from the fruit juice and “the dirt “ are seeds…lol
