I have never spoken to a Canadian I didn't like and enjoy speaking too. How ever, I see their current leader, and his acts while in office, very much like a "Richard Potato"! Peace.😅

As a Canadian, I can say, not many of us like Trudeau. Think we were excited at first, cause it was someone young, hopefully fresh ideas. Everyone quickly realized that wasn't gonna be the case. But then during the last election, our conservatives put up Andrew Sheer. Who is basically a Trump 2.0. We just watched Trump destroy America's global standing, we weren't gonna do that too. So he got in again. I hope he isn't gonna get in this next time. That said, I don't think the conservative leader Pierre Polliviere or however you spell it, is a whole lot better than Andrew Scheer was.
Trump really do a good job empowering the buttholes around the world.
Also, I do think we're probably a little bit closer in attitude to our swedish brothers and sisters, though we definitely live more like Americans.
Honestly if you cross the border near where I am (close to buffalo). Theres only a few main differences you'll notice.
America has tons of lawyer billboards everywhere. We have basically none.
America has tons of concrete highways, they're much louder to drive on than our highways, so I don't love that, but they hold up so much better than asphalt. And Americans will call it 'soda' instead of 'pop' on a restaurant menu or something.
Even the accents are pretty similar, some of the older people across the border might have a slight southern drawl. But nothing like down south

Check out NORAD Cheyenne Mountain Complex. The US and Canada are partners for missile defense for North America. They also track Santa On Christmas eve.

Canada has three oceans to deal with, and defense of the Arctic regions is particularly difficult, so there's a big emphasis on naval power.

Canadian Snipers hold the records for long distance kills on the battlefield, in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other places... JTF2, the top Canadian SPECOPS unit, is respected worldwide.....and for our American friends, Canada is an equal partner in NORAD, with interceptor squadrons stationed in the western part of Canada.....and they 'get' at least one 'visit' a week from the Russians or Chinese...to practice Intercepts....

    27th is embarrassing for a G7 country.

I don't know where he got his info. We only have 4 submarines. They are planning on purchasining 10 more over the next few years. But we will not hold our breath. Our procurement is notoriously slow. and frequently change with changes in govt.

Canada's claim to fame has always been that they live next to the popular kid. And that they didn't receive independence from the British crown until 1982.
