Indeed! Doubting the gods or divinity during a test of faith is typically rewarded with suffering. Unfortunately, but it does speak tremendously to our need to build our faith and go boldly forth when we are asked to. @OnTheMysteries for me Faith is understanding from the beginning of human thought we've asked the questions. Who ? What? When? Why ? and Where? And we've tried to answer those questions till now. the answer is still I don't know? The Bible in the beginning tells of The Big bang theory ( well for me it does) that (99%) science confirms is truth. But they cannot answer why it happened, how it happened ect. For me that's faith believing in the unknown answer and having faith that there is a Creator. Understanding that what was written in the elder days about the God's and deities that were seen can only be comprehended to what they knew at the time. If we were dropped back thousands of years we would be considered gods just because we know more. (or is it we were allowed to know more throughout time.) Enoch's journey would be different telling if a scientist of today were to go through it. But is that because we understand more now we are more advanced in knowledge? In thousands of years will humanity look at us as we see people before us trying to comprehend what the hell they were saying to find the truth. God says we will know when it's time. But does that meanall at once is it gradually? If it is gradual how long is gradual for a being that is infinite? How do we know? But also are we even good enough to know? If an ant could ask a human "why am I here?" The human would say" to scavenge, build a nest and protect your queen." If the ant answers" but that's not what I want my purpose to be." The human would say "but that is your purpose that is why you were made, what you evolve to do." So why do we question ours if we could ask? I do not know my purpose, but I know my purpose was to be on this Earth to fill out whatever master plan there is. It could be to be a fruitful and multiply, it could be would be the best human I can be while on this Earth, it could be just to have this conversation with you and someone else reads it. Also For me when times get really hard and I'm suffering the most I always thank God. Because I understand that he only gives me as much as I can take . and for me to be able to take whatever is making me suffer means that I am able to overcome it. Also for me it makes me truly cherish all the joy and happiness that is in my life. And I try to spread that.
