Leslie's deadpan delivery makes her line 200% funnier. Penny's second "Good for him" also let us know the attraction wasn't one-sided.
Leonard is not physically attractive but women including Penny who get to know him on a personal level find him to be quite a catch he is nice, funny, loyal and smart in general aside from having a PhD in theoretical physics.

The amount of times he was instrumental to making Penny aware of Leonard being more than just the nerd next door and actually being a man she could be romantically involved with, before they actually got together, is numerous.

I was watching Carl Sagan when I was a kid. Oh boy...I loved that show as I used to love Jaques Yves Custeau's series. My all childhood was about talking with my friend (my only friend) for hours every day about science and discoveries and history and mechanics and technology.... Today is not much on TV that is worth watching. This is so sad.

TBBT was such an iconic sitcom. I wish it hadn't ended so soon. I know years passed but even 12 seasons wasn't enough, Leonard and Penny having a child, Sheldon and Amy being a couple with such promise. Then there is Bernadette and Howard with the baby. And who knows what Raj would have accomplished, and not forgetting Stewart! He was in his own way a part of the ensemble. Too much to wonder about.
Well they dragged their single life over 12 years tbh them all having a baby could not be covered on all those years

The writers hadn’t invented it yet. He also early in the show, did four knocks, said the name, four more knocks, said the name and just kept repeating until he got an answer.

Looking back on past episodes and clips it becomes really clear that the only thing Leonard and Penny had was physical, with every other woman he gets with there are so many other levels to the relationship other than physical.
Lol by the end of the series and even before they get married Penny is making more money than him as a Pharmaceutical sales rep on commission. When he goes with her to do an autograph signing event for one of her old movies he literally loses it bragging to nerds he bagged a smart more attractive woman who makes more money than him. Penny is not book smart in terms of going to college but she has other valuable skills and life experiences that make her successful. I remember the episode where Howard doesn’t know anything about fishing and asks for Penny’s help and she explains how to catch and gut fish like she is some Biology Professor.😂

Sheldon gets his own lab, Penny buys and runs a theater, and their child is a blonde prodigy.

A role like Sheldon Cooper can make an actor famous and rich but forever be known as Sheldon ,making it extremely difficult to take on other roles .
i think Jim Parsons is a brilliant actor but i will always dislike him because of his character as Sheldon .
Sheldon in my opinion is one of the two most annoying characters ever created for TV , the other being the character of Allen on Two and a half men .
