Simple data corruption can happen during a download

It’s great for taking out a SAM (usually things like SA-15 TOR’s and the like) from a longer range. You don’t wanna get in the range of those things, and the added 1.5 miles of range that the L has could make the difference between life and death

And because it’s laser you need to somewhat stay on course and not turn away too much else you mask the TGP lasing so it’s not fire and forget, forcing you to get close to the target. The D model can also follow moving target. I don’t see much advantage of the L model over the D other than it’s a bigger missile. With the D I can carry 3 per pylon, fire and forget and turn away.

It's absolutely maddening because the training modules are so glitching. Sometimes they just sit there and never move on, and some times you'll just wing it and go and try to watch you tube videos and they'll randomly start talking in training again. I've yet to fire Maverick off my A10ll hahahaha
You're absolutely right. The tutorials for the A10 _are_ maddening! The triggers that should tell the tutorial to move on to the next step don't work sometimes. You find forums posts that are years old saying it's "fixed internally" and will be out with the next release, but here we are years later w/ no fixes. In addition, I had to turn all the other in-game audio off just to hear the instructor's voice for the A-10C II tutorials. After getting the II version, the first version tutorial gets completely stuck on the Maverick EO warmup -- no amount of fiddling with the MFCDs and OSBs will get you past it. It's frustrating because getting the hang of this plane's targeting and missile systems is already complex enough without having to deal with bugs and glitches that ruin the immersion and derail your learning process. If you can't get the basics down in training when you're not being fired upon, you don't have a chance in hell of getting it right in a combat situation.

I have yet to kill anything beyond the building in the MAV training. In the heat of the moment I seem to forget everything and do things too slowly while my targets zoom beneath me and behind me out of sight, only to turn around and have it happen all over. The learning curve is so steep in the beginning, but I'm getting there.
I miss times when you selected FLIR with F, locked on target pressing T, choosing Maverick with [ or ]. Launching missile with SPACE button. Was it realistic? Not really. Was it fun? YES. And of course for a price of a game you were getting a FULL GAME. Not just a plane...
Hey cap I was having trouble with the China Hat aft. I was trying to re-center my tgp and my Mavericks and I couldn’t get it to work. Instead it was putting the tgp into this weird laser search mode and wasn’t working for the mavs. Any advice?
Grim Reapers why is that? Is this a big? Or is this how the A-10 is supposed to be? In the video (or maybe another one... I can’t remember) you re-borsighted the tgp. What keys did you press for that?
@@brycewalker7797 You can reset the TGP to how it started by going to stand-by mode. then press A-G mode again and put the SOI back to the TGP. Then you have the TGP centered under the boresight (as seen in the hud) again.

Had the same exact problem. It seems it auto shutdowns after a time. It is so weird. Maybe I would advice launching with the laser on, then turn it off, then on again after a few seconds. It seems the laser will only remain active for 10 seconds, then cool down.
It should has an automatic safety shutdown that is triggered by heat, if you are testing it in Nevada or Persian gulf on a hot summers day it might trigger

If you have a thing for the F-14 I would suggest it, generally I would always suggest starting with a multi-role so that you don't lock yourself in the beginning The A10C can be a lot of heads-down number punching, It's my favorite air-frame but I'd suggest the F-14 for a beginner as it simply offers more You might also look into the F-16 and F/A-18C if the two-seat and older systems of the F-14 seems daunting P.S; Most modules currently has a hefty 30-50% Hallows eve sale
@@EvMstein my questions at the time where how to activate thr tpod. All I had to do was arm the weapons and select A/G. My pfp was weird at the time and I might of been banned for that. But I was nevrr given a warning of any kind. If they just asked me I would of changed it.
I have the same problem with the infrared camera version. I let it uncage and autoslew to the target I designated with the TGP. The lock just rarely seems to work on that. I was just flying straight at the target, right in the middle of the range bar, the hud crosshair lined up and everything, but no lock. I'll stick to laser guided rockets and bombing I guess..

Code change is useful tho. If youre in multiplayer and everyone has the same 1688 laser you'll lock onto other people's target
