Thank you for sharing your spectacular garden. I never get tired of seeing all of your lovely plants and their placement. As someone with mostly shade, I'm very jealous of the plants that thrive in the full sun. Also watched your other video about how you got started. Loved that you shared this personal background with your viewers. You are so very talented.
What a fun & informative video! As you panned across your hosta bed, I thought “hey, this is Michigan! Where’s all the deer damage??” In my neighborhood both the hostas & your beautiful arborvitae would be munched on by those buggers
Gorgeous as always Heidi. When you were panning thru the hosta garden beside the Bobo at 27:06 I was yelling "weed Heidi, big weed with seeds ready to blow". They were all over my yard this year and that gave me flashbacks. At least they are shallow rooted and super easy to pull. By the way, in the South we use Quick Fire Fab to get blooms that pink up. They bloom early enough to turn.
Thank you Heidi - your northern hydrangeas are amazing! I’m Soooo jealous !!! But I think I would still take our winters in the South - because we can grow Camelias!!!!!
Hi Heidi 🌺 . I enjoyed watching this beautiful tour at your garden .It looks so pretty and it always amazes me with its stunning colors . Have a wonderful day . 🌻🌺🌻
Always a pleasure to "walk" through your gardens. Very informative video and loved seeing what's growing and blooming in your zone - we're a zone 3 (and maybe 4 lol) in central Alberta, Canada.
Thankyou for sharing your garden with us- I am always amazed by the fantastic array of plant varieties you have in your garden and how much they are thriving!
The worms are likely sawfly larva. Last year some of my hibiscus were decimated by them. This year I sprayed the plants with spinosad once they leafed out but before they bloomed and had much less damage. Thanks for the garden tour. Beautiful foxglove. The plants I ordered from you for fall planting arrived in excellent condition (as always).
I did order 2 firelight hydrangeas from you after seeing them in your garden. I live in zone 7 in Idaho. I trans planted one in full sun this year. We get over 100 degrees for a lot of the summer here and it lost a lot of leaves. I hope it will do better next year when it is more established. Thanks for your tour.
Wow still colorful your garden so beautiful no matter what time of the year. Thank you for another tour you inspired me and learned a lot. Love from Washington State 😊❤️
Excellent video Heid, Thank you for sharing and I did plant the fire light hydrangea after seeing yours...i.'m across the pond from you and this is my 3rd year with the hydrangea and it does not look as good as yours...I think I will try cutting back this year, giving fertilizer in spring and see what happens....hoping it looks as gorgeous as your hydrangea.
Your gardens are beautiful! Love the Firelight hydrangea. I will definitely be ordering some of those. What are the 2 plants flanking the pillar stones in your porch? area?
YES❤girl you have INSPIRED me to get all kinds of hydrangeas this year!! Question, is your Quick fire in full sun? I put mine where it get only about 4 hours of morning sun and most of the leaves have turned yellow and fell off since planted, should I move it now into full sun? It's been in the ground just about a month. Thanks Heidi ❤love your content ❤ I'm in zone 6A Michigan southern central.
We use the Proven Winners Water Soluble fertilizer on all the annuals except the Sunpatiens, they don't like fertilizer. www.gardencrossings.com/product/plant-food-water-soluble-fertilizer/
Hi Heidi my hibiscus shows the same damage as yours. This year was more damage than the past years. Can you provide the name of that hibiscus with the dark leaves and pink blooms? Time stamp 33:28. I inherited two that I don’t know the names of and one looks exactly like this. Thanks for always sharing your garden with us! Hello from NJ 🪴🌸
The last limelight that you showed - was that the same one he trimmed down to about 4' last year?? I'm standing here looking at my 9 foot hydrangea contemplating, lol.
Do you ever remove the brown hydrangea blossoms? I usually leave my limelight hydrangeas till spring but my local greenhouse person said he removes his before winter snd even cuts his back. I'm mid Michigan 6a
Thank you for asking. I am not sure who or where they are sold in state. We are an online retailer that can ship all over the US. We can ship them directly to your door.
Thank you so. SO much for sharing your garden! Everything has its time, and, as the garden fades, it STILL has its beauty!
Thank you for watching and walking through my garden.
Wow your front garden is spectacular... That vista bubblegum is a show stopper! Love the hot pink colors with your turquoise door & shutters. 😍
Thanks for visiting

We generally do not have deer in this garden. They stopped by earlier this summer but we prayed everything with Bobbix so they wouldn't come back

LOL I did not even notice the weed. It is a big one.
That is good to know about the Quick Fire Fab, thanks for the tip.

Wow, great gardens! Lots of color, nice mix of textures. I want to learn how to grow supertunias like that!
Water and regular fertilizer is the key to great looking Supertunias.
That was an enjoyable garden walk, Heidi.
Thanks for walking through the garden with me.
Beautiful ❤ thank you for the wonderful tour

Don't be afraid to trim it back if you think it needs a good trim.
❤
Some ligularia would look nice in your shade garden. Even a shrub rose would look well and some rebloom
That would be a good idea. I do have some under the tree near the pond but more shade could be good.
Your gardens are beautiful! Love the Firelight hydrangea. I will definitely be ordering some of those. What are the 2 plants flanking the pillar stones in your porch? area?
When will you have the new alstroemerias on the Garden Crossings website? Looking forward to them.
We hope to have them listed by December 1st when we start preorder.
Yes, I got a firelight because of you. Is this one bush?
Yes, that is one bush.

My Quick Fire gets full sun from just after noon to sun down. It sounds like yours may be too dry if you have yellowing leaves that are falling off.
@@gardencrossings thank you!!
What kind of fertilizer do you use your plants are beautiful.Judy

That is an older version of Perfect Storm.
@@gardencrossings Thank you Heidi

Yes!!! That is the one that got the major trim a couple years ago.
Can you recommend a treatment for slugs? My coneflowers were heavily damaged from slugs.
Here is a link to a product we use: www.gardencrossings.com/product/espoma-organic-slug-snail-bait-1-25lb/
is that nut grass behind that baptisia it is a horrib,e pest sedge here in 9b on a peat island
We do have nut grass here, but I did not see it in the garden.
Do you ever remove the brown hydrangea blossoms? I usually leave my limelight hydrangeas till spring but my local greenhouse person said he removes his before winter snd even cuts his back. I'm mid Michigan 6a
We do trim the brown hydrangeas off in the Fall. They can also be trimmed in the spring if that is a better time of year for you.
You may not know the answer to this question...I am in Louisiana, are supertunia sold here or where can I purchase them ?
Thank you for asking. I am not sure who or where they are sold in state. We are an online retailer that can ship all over the US. We can ship them directly to your door.
I am done with petunias, geraniums, and anything else the budworms like. They are so beautiful but I’m tired of fighting them
I understand, they are a pain.
I thought you butterfly garden was butterfly shaped lol
