Excellent review. I don't understand why people are so high on handling in an SUV. Sure, you don't want a car that is nearly impossible to operate properly that it's unsafe, but it's not a sports car. It's a Buick SUV. It's like buying a Porsche Boxster and complaining that you have to take Tylenol Extra Strength when you get home from work. It's a luxury or near luxury SUV. It's a modern soccer mom car. It's not supposed to be "fun" in the 16 year old boy Fast and Furious sense. It's just supposed to be a safe, comfortable SUV that gets you there effortlessly and painlessly.
Looks like Infiniti QX70 Limited Edition in the rear. I’m Chinese and the factory that builds these is one of the most high tech auto factories in China. I do not doubt the build quality at all.
Reminded me of a CX-5 from the rear as well but def can see some other design cues. Yea quality isn't something I'm really concerned with this is actually pretty nice and far superior to anything they've done in the past regarding interiors
Yea and I can't believe the demand and the brand prestige Buick has in China lol. They have some stuff to work on but all in all, this is kind of a step in the right direction for them
May I ask your opinion on the Envisions long term reliability? I'm hearing that Buick is considered to be the most reliability GM brand currently in north America. I'm going to take a look at one this weekend.
It’s a beautiful SUV. Better than the last generation. I like the angle of your camera. I’m able to gauge how the SUV looks without all those filters and angles other reviewers use. Thanks!
GM has been building, designing & selling makes like Buick specifically for the Chinese market. NOW GM was a chance to sell more SUV product n the US, they r now designing the new Buicks more so for the American market.

This new design of the Buick Envision starts with it now sharing the Cadillac XT4 platform. It has the Cadillac 2.0 turbo and a 9 speed transmission. A very smooth and quiet ride just what you would expect from a Buick.
I think I've watched EVERY RUclips video on the 2021 Envision Avenir and this is one of the best - GREAT job. Great photography too. I'm seriously considering buying one soon. The problem is, my local dealer doesn't have one in stock with the Continuous Damping Control suspension for me to take for a test drive. I'm 68 years old, and could care less about "handling", I would much rather drive a car that has a very SOFT ride, instead of being able to FLY around corners. I'm driving a 2017 CT6 now, and it rides WAY too firm for me ( but corners GREAT ) - do you think I'll be happy with an Envision Avenir with the CDC suspension ? My CT6 Luxury trim has seats that are too firm also - are these seats less firm than a CT6's ? THANKS for your help !!
Thanks! And yes I don't think anyone will have an issue with the way this Buick rides. I wish I got a chance to check out a Buick without the continuous dampening suspension to see if it makes a difference. Surprised you don't like the CT6, that is their flagship should ride the best although I haven't tried it. Only other super plush new car I can think of that you might like is the Lexus ES350 Luxury trim. Hope this helps sir.
@@MeynMotorGroup I like Lexus a lot - if they'd just get rid of their ugly, EDSEL grills !!! LOL My CT6 is almost five years old, maybe the newer ones are "less firm", but I doubt it - "young" people like it that way. Thanks for your help, keep making your VERY informative videos and making the videos of the cars stationary, in the evening, when the sun is going down - that's the key to getting good shots of cars.
@@MeynMotorGroup You've tested a lot of different cars . . do you think an AWD version of the Avenir with the damping suspension would ride "firmer" than a FWD version ? I just wonder if the AWD part would make it "firmer" and the damping wouldn't make it "softer" OR, won't the damping shocks be effected either way ?
