My wife has had one for nearly a year, she loves it. She bought the Essence with a Panoramic roof and plenty of standard safety features. We live in Wisconsin And went with the front wheel drive, she has been through her 1st winter and found no need for all wheel drive. This car feels luxurious and came in under $40,000. The change in design and now using the Cadillac XT4 platform has made a huge difference. She had a Ford Escape Titanium for 8 1/2 years and loved it but finds the Buick a big upgrade in many ways. We are in it for the smooth and quiet ride and Buick delivers.
I'm a senior. My retirement is OK, but not fabulous, so I can spend a bit... but I'm budget-conscious. My zoom-zoom days (Peugeot 104ZS, Alfa 147) were great, but they're long gone. Nowadays, I'm more interested in ingress and egress - I'm 6'6", 280 lbs. I want quiet comfort. So PLEASE talk to me! I bought my current car nine years ago. It was an oddball. It's own manufacturer didn't know what to do with it: the Buick Encore. They marketed it to young couples. It has just 138 HP, so of course it didn't sell to that demographic. On the other hand, it was by far the easiest small car to get into and out of. (I size-tested ALL of them.) So it sold like hotcakes to us empty-nesters. Please think about demographics. WHO wants a Buick Envision? Not a "prestige" buyer - the three shields don't have the glamor of a three-pointed star. Not a "biggest is best" buyer - the Escalade is there for them. Lots of seniors have gotten over themselves. We want good value, quiet, comfort, easy to get into and out of. The Envision looks like a good candidate.
Buick Envision S VS Volkswagen Tiguan L I am currently working in China and I want to buy a car. Which car is better between the two? I'm thinking about it. Both models are gasoline. The price of the car is similar. The ‘Envision S’ I'm trying to buy is not the top version, so the interior is just black. The bright color is so pretty ㅠㅠ I am short of money. And fuel efficiency is not very good. ‘Tiguan’ has a good car, but Volkswagen is said to have turned the invisible parts into cheap ones to make up for the big losses it incurred last time. The interior Envision is stylish and the Tiguan feels neat and well organized. I think they are both pretty. Please give me some advice~~^_____^;;
My 2016 F150 XLT broke down and I bought this car 2021 Buick envision. It is not very spacious when compared to the truck that I had. It’s not very good for people with back problems. This car does have a lot of great features. This car does ride good but when my back hurts it is extremely difficult to find a position to be in while driving to help ease the pain but the heated seat does help some my truck that I had was much better for this new truck drove good. It had a whole lot more space but it did not have all the great features of this car.
Wow, that’s a lot of comments! Comes down to a test drive and what you can afford. The parts are probably sourced from several countries like everything else.
I have a 2020 Envision. I love it, but I think this new one is so much better looking. I agree about badging, Buick still has that “stodgy” image that just isn’t true anymore. Curious to see even the next gen Envision- hope Buick takes it up a couple notches
@@CK-ok4uj It should surprise no one that GM got a 50 BILLION dollar bailout from US taxpayers and used it to move manufacturing to China with the approval of the federal government. hmm, I wonder what country the US government represents.
I can’t imagine buying a so-called American car when it is actually a Chinese product through and through. Can anyone predict with the resale value of a Chinese car is going to be in five years? What will be the real cost of ownership of this vehicle? Long after this car is in a salvage yard because it’s more expensive to fix than it’s worth, your neighbors Toyota Venza will have a lot more life left not to mention resale value.

That old trope about American cars falling apart at 60 K is pretty obsolete. I had a F150 that was still hauling at 150k miles on the same transmission. My brother had a Saturn that took him all the way through 12 years of college. With regular maintenance almost any American car built in last 10 years will get past 100k. European cars have snob appeal but what you’re paying when anything goes wrong on one.
Been a Buick family since 2013. They've been extremely reliable and most importantly very safe. Stylish and best bang for the buck. 2013 Verano, 2014 Regal, 2018 LaCrosse and now 2021 Envision. My next purchase will be an Enclave for my growing family.
I’m just glad there’s a car that still prioritizes not going to the chiropractor. If you want your hot Rod soccer mom car, fine. But leave my comfortable cars alone. Some of us have chronic pain and we’re sick of all these cars that look like they were designed by 16 year olds who just saw another bad Fast and Furious sequel. My only frustration is the lack of sedans. Coupes are too small and SUVs can be too big. AWD sedans should stay. Everyone’s into fads. Asian imports don’t do comfort unless you get a Lexus LS or Genesis G90. I don’t care about handling. I’m not looking for a sports car. I owned an E63 that I built from scratch and it was so uncomfortable. Even with the comfort seats in comfort mode. I almost feel like taking my chances with a wheezed early 90s New Yorker with velour seats.

Great Review, I'm a big fan of the new Envision, Keep it up Buick & You'll Be Back On The Block Real Soon!
Had a couple of Buicks back in the day. Always been a fan
I just got a great deal on a 2022 Essence, I've owned BMW and Mercedes. For comfort, tech, and power I'm blown away buy this Buick!
I have to agree with Car Gurus and Consumer Reports. This is an exceptional GM vehicle -- a very good value play that turns heads.

You could have a Mazda CX-5 for at least $10,000 less and it's more fun to drive and it holds its value MUCH better.

Buicks reliability is below Toyota, Mazda, Lexus but placed 4th which is above Honda so it honestly doesn't seem to be an issue.
