One of my cars is called "No Subs". So my son sent me a drifting video of yours as he called me "Slow Subs". I was a GT driver as I have always loved that series. You taught me how to drift and win and why drift turning resets your cars nose. I am way faster. I still have old habits and they die hard. I will work on that thread the needle course you mentioned. This just came up on my feed after watching some Unbound videos and Heat is just so clean and stylish! I know the community is pretty evenly split on the cartoon effects, and a lot of people absolutely love them. But even the more ardent supporters have got to admit it's a pretty radical move... Hopefully we'll get some more customisation options soon. Also, how crazy is it that 5 months ago when this was made Unbound still hadn't been officially announced..!
@@motomech90 that's not exactly a remake :( we want a full fleshed out remake ... but i fear it'll not be as good , because the formula mw05 had would only work for old games when it was new and refreshing... nowadays it's so common
Honestly the best tips you could give. Seen many players just waste NOS or improperly make a turn. Also another tip would generally be not drifting every corner. Some you really don't need to (as most of the cars will be capable of making the turn at their specific angle). Makes a huge difference between being in second or winning the race.
A tip for newer players. When you first start NFS, play at night ONLY until you get rep level 4-6+. The reason is because you get bank during the day, and rep at night. You can't use bank on very much unless you have a high enough rep level to unlock stuff. If you get busted, the cops take some of your bank but you still get some rep. Which means it's kind of a waste to go and spend time getting bank, just to lose it at night. Another reason to play at night only, is to get used to dodging cars/cops, so when you do play during the day, it's easier.
steel dragon is a fun race i like to take a new car into and see how it handles and learn it’s handling in :) it’s a day event in between edge wood valley and frontera hills
One trick everybody doesnt know about is Looking where you want to go and not looking where you dont want to go. Always pay atention far ahead as possible try to look for the corner of the exit to a corner or a straight. Also Im on console so Its alot easier to just adjust stick control to your liking in the settings menu where it says stick deadzone and it made me alot better at driving in this game.
Thread the needle is literally the best solo way to earn cash grinding also. Once you can beat the gold Ghost time you get 40k for about a min worth of driving and then just retry the event over and over and over. I grinded alot of my cash this way especially when noone wanted to race any events.
sometimes i struggle managing to take first and it just becomes a game of tag trading first until i finally manage to get a 100 yard gap and i somehow turn that 100 yard gap into like 500-1000
3 reasons you're slow in nfs heat: 1. You're not using the rsr. 2. you're not using the rsr correctly. 3. Your opponent is using the rsr better than you.
My question about stick control is do you slowly turn left to right and center the stick to straighten out. Or do you roll the stick up, left to right to stay in the analog arc?
Honestly been playing racing games since the need for speeds back in the 90s. Throughout Forza, nfs, and GT I've never used the analog path. Always just left to right control for me.

I recenlty started playing Heat for the first time. I completely forgot that I already purchased it almost a year ago... I was a big fan of NFS back in my highschool age, with the release of most wanted and I particularly loved Porshce. Now i mainly drive in sim racing, became a racing driver myself (im close to 37 yo) and just started heat to rememorate and old era of "simple playing with a joystick and not caring about racing lines, brake points, and that overload of info "... MAN I NEVER FELT SOO FRUSTRATED BEFORE WITH A RACING GAME!!!! It's the stick, the left stick, it doesnt responde quickly like i usually would do in real life! The thing is I have 350z and wanted to play the game with a 350z too, but man it felt just soo unrealistic and heavy... ok is a NFS not a iRacing or Foirza o my beloved AC but man! EA is just garbage about joystick control...
For real, this games steering is so shit. I was so bummed when going from NFS payback to this because I wanted this game for my birthday but I just CANT play it. Also the console version runs at like 15 FPS. It’s unplayable even on PS5
NOone has beaten my world record on twists and turns and its been 2 years lol. My no 1 tip for getting faster....Get to level 50, get top 3 positions in Heat level 3 and 5 races and pick up epic parts you cant buy but can only earn racing these high heat races. Dont worry about driving skill, this is an arcade racer not a sim.
I think you should jump on the topic that people DO hack this game and are IMPOSSIBLY fast with the slowest cars. Tell me how that happens. Because I have the correct engine builds and tuning yet 1/20 racers that I race, end up impossibly fast and it's really starting to piss me off.

The struggle is real, most of the time I'm jumping between rooms trying to find a competitive race. I always wonder if people are just gonna play around and not interact with other players then why are you online?
thank u for ur advice, i play difficult mode and when i do events of 40 level less, i suffer a lot and often i lose when events are for top speed and not full of turns, i do not know why..
never thought about jumping off the cliff to the next check points as it seems like cheating haha but yeah it does seem tos ave quite a bit of time. I don't know .. no one ever wants to race anymore.,every time i go into a day session i see people in the oval track messing around but any of the technincal races is almost always a 60 second wait of time as no one joins. Night time is even worse. I don't think i ever gotten someone to join a night race.
Can someone please help me with this? For some reason my camera is stuck in soe type of synimatic mode. When i make a turn my camera will move to the side, when i hold the handbrake and accelerate, my camera will zoom in on the rear wheel. Someone please tell me how to fix this.
Most wanted 2012 was the first nfs I properly played. Rivals also was fast. Felt fast af. NFS 2015 felt a bit slower. But Heat? Bro it just feels slow af
Thx for the help & hints, but I find even with that help short cuts are still sad even tho I know that NFS does support and hint that short cuts can make a difference in the loading help bar. But I dont agree with it, the damage you take from dropping off a drop is pretty much 0 but you hit a car or building you take damage so I think they should put some minor RL physics to NFS you drop off a cliff to take a short cut your tires are deflated due to drop damage you go off road to long in non rally or offroad tires you're increasing the chance of a tire blowing out & forced to reflate not destroy the tire, making people learn to take a proper line on road while racing

Hate to tell ya but the biggest reason I'm still slow in this game is because the game was poorly made for anyone who uses a car in automatic. I am 30 points above recommended and even when I get near first place car, it just literally speed boosts well beyond what it's top speed should be. Yet, if I manage to take first place right off the line, the cars can't pass me. Just simply poor design.
shortcutting is cheating by all means do it in campaign & solo but in multiplayer its not skill its cheating if you cant win without shortcutting then you lack skill

I can’t even get an online race. Either everyone is sitting in the garage or nobody wants to race
The record book helped me improve my pb on Helios II to 2:09,26 (Keyboard) so far. I am thrilled to see how far I can push all of my records. :-)

For me one of the best early cars is Lotus 74k and best acelaration with very good handling for the start cars.
