      i am doing this kit also and drawing the vains have been so difficult for me, how long did it took to dry i havent pore the epoxy yet im scare 😂

    My cabinets are being painted right now but I got this kit and am gonna so my countertops when they’re done. I was so nervous until I saw your video..your countertops are beautiful!

    you did a great job! my only critique would be that the veins on the vertical surfaces would not flow with the horizontal surface. It would be a separate piece of marble. But my question is, did the bubbles settle out? many reviews on amazon complain they did not and remained soft and peeled.

    You did such a great job! Did you wait for the upper counter to dry before moving onto the regular large counter space? Did you have a lot of dripping from the upper counter? Thanks !

      I was extremely careful not to add too much epoxy to the top level to avoid dripping. I didn’t have to wait to work on the counter below.

      You can do it! Be patient. If you feel yourself freaking out stop and then go back when you are calm.

    how safe is it ( for us) if you put food on it? I mean of you clean it you are cleaning paint too so just wondering

      @@BrookeFarias so glad to hear! I just laid my epoxy down, did youre have a lot of like open pockets. It’s drying and it looks like a bunch of circles. I’m assuming they’re supposed to seal

      Hi it needs to dry for 48hrs then it completely cures after 12days

      It’s your preference! If you wants solid white countertops skip on veins.

    What do you mean by making sure the backsplash was wet. I’m concerned about the resin setting correctly on the backsplash. You don’t have to let the veins dry before adding the resin?

      You have to let it dry. I mean I didn’t pour a lot of resin on the back just used a brush to get it “wet” with a thin amount of resin so it wouldn’t drip.

    I want to do this at our condo, but I'm afraid I'll have a lot of product leftover. the kitchen area doesnt have a lot of counterspace, did you find you had a lot of product left over? or no. thanks for any info!

      Hi the kit comes with 3 cans of resin. Each can will cover about 6ft of counter space. I have 1 can of resin leftover but I plan to use it on more projects around my house.

      The epoxy has a smell while it is curing. After it has hardened it has no smell.

    You did a great job? I want to buy the same kit but my kitchen countertop is around 50 sq. Ft.! I don't know if this is enough.

    I epoxied my bar area, love the look but ended up with some bubble bumps! How can I avoid that when doing my countertops?

      This mix is self leveling so no torch required

      I did not. I didn’t realize that was recommended until I was finished. I was so delicate I made sure my paint didn’t clump anywhere so sanding wasn’t necessary for me.

    Can you please link or list everything you bought that didn’t come with the kit? I’m completely new to any DIYs and I need to know the name of the paper you used around your countertops to prevent the resin from getting on anything. Sorry for my ignorance!

      Hi Stephanie! No worries. The plastic drop cloth is included in the kit. You can also find plastic drop cloths at dollar tree! The only item I needed to buy was painters tape to secure it to the edge. Everything else is included!

      No yellowing and held up so nice! I’m gentle on them tho and have no kids.

    I did a coat 8 hrs ago , did you apply. Second coat ? If so how long did you wait?

      I painted each coat when I got home from work so I waited about 24hrs between coats. They say only 4HRS is necessary to dry between coats.

      I’ve had it about 6 months. So far it is perfect. Easy to clean and still looks so beautiful. I never put anything hot on it directly to make sure I never mess it up. Personal preference.

      The website says yes but that hurts my heart to think about. I’d love to have real granite countertops!

      You may have to lightly sand the granite first and check to see if you need to add a primer before adding the paint because it is non-porous.
