Thank you for making this video! I'm currently doing this same kit and I'm so nervous! I've watched the giani video but your video has helped me feel more confident. 😊
Best video on the subject that I’ve seen. I’m about to go order this kit right now. TFS. I was nervous about this before, but now I am confident that I can do it
My cabinets are being painted right now but I got this kit and am gonna so my countertops when they’re done. I was so nervous until I saw your video..your countertops are beautiful!
you did a great job! my only critique would be that the veins on the vertical surfaces would not flow with the horizontal surface. It would be a separate piece of marble. But my question is, did the bubbles settle out? many reviews on amazon complain they did not and remained soft and peeled.
Wow Gorgeous😍 I just bought a house with the same countertops. Can't wait to try this. Really beautiful job. Thank you for sharing all of your hard work.
You did such a great job! Did you wait for the upper counter to dry before moving onto the regular large counter space? Did you have a lot of dripping from the upper counter? Thanks !
This is AMAZING 🤩 I had no idea products like this existed. Thank you for sharing the product and the process. How has it lasted for you? Any issues with chipping or staining? Beautiful work!
@@BrookeFarias so glad to hear! I just laid my epoxy down, did youre have a lot of like open pockets. It’s drying and it looks like a bunch of circles. I’m assuming they’re supposed to seal
I really wanto to try this on my counters!! They are an ugly laminate and id love to dress them up. How is it holding up for you since youve done yours 2 years ago?
What do you mean by making sure the backsplash was wet. I’m concerned about the resin setting correctly on the backsplash. You don’t have to let the veins dry before adding the resin?
You have to let it dry. I mean I didn’t pour a lot of resin on the back just used a brush to get it “wet” with a thin amount of resin so it wouldn’t drip.
I want to do this at our condo, but I'm afraid I'll have a lot of product leftover. the kitchen area doesnt have a lot of counterspace, did you find you had a lot of product left over? or no. thanks for any info!
Hi the kit comes with 3 cans of resin. Each can will cover about 6ft of counter space. I have 1 can of resin leftover but I plan to use it on more projects around my house.
I did not. I didn’t realize that was recommended until I was finished. I was so delicate I made sure my paint didn’t clump anywhere so sanding wasn’t necessary for me.
Can you please link or list everything you bought that didn’t come with the kit? I’m completely new to any DIYs and I need to know the name of the paper you used around your countertops to prevent the resin from getting on anything. Sorry for my ignorance!
Hi Stephanie! No worries. The plastic drop cloth is included in the kit. You can also find plastic drop cloths at dollar tree! The only item I needed to buy was painters tape to secure it to the edge. Everything else is included!
I’ve had it about 6 months. So far it is perfect. Easy to clean and still looks so beautiful. I never put anything hot on it directly to make sure I never mess it up. Personal preference.
@@makeupntipsbymmaritza1216 I’m extra careful with mine. I don’t put anything hot on it and don’t have kids yet so I don’t have to worry about spilling. So far I love it and don’t have issues.
Haha, that would be just like my husband, he’s always slightly skeptical of my diy-ing and wants nothing to do with it but always likes the end result!
Finally someone with the same original countertops as me!!! Excited to do this

I’m so happy to hear that! You can do!

This is legit the best video on this kit!! So glad i seen it cause you just made a difficult decision easy fir me! Thank you so much!!!
YES!!! I’m so happy to hear that. My goal was get to the point show the real steps!
You can do it!

I appreciate your kind words!
Wow! That turned out really nice! You have a new sub!
Omg I need this kit . I love marble
They came gorgeous!
Thank you!
That looks amazing! You did a great job. It looks like the counters came that way.
Thank you so much! I love it 🥰
Wao beautiful..
You did such a great job! Did you wait for the upper counter to dry before moving onto the regular large counter space? Did you have a lot of dripping from the upper counter? Thanks !
I was extremely careful not to add too much epoxy to the top level to avoid dripping. I didn’t have to wait to work on the counter below.
This was a very good video. I wish you had of advised of any drying times.
Nice job, love it, do they yellow over time?
Thank you! For the video I will try to do mi e this weekend I’m sooo scared . Hopefully it looks good as yours.
You can do it! Be patient. If you feel yourself freaking out stop and then go back when you are calm.
Hi, Did you use the small or regular size kit ?
Gorgeous!!💕💕💕
Thank you!
how safe is it ( for us) if you put food on it? I mean of you clean it you are cleaning paint too so just wondering

Thank you so much! No issues at all! I do make sure to never set anything hot directly on it cuz I don’t want to take a chance on it burning!
@@BrookeFarias Thank you for the feedback! This sounds like a summer project for me 🤗
Amazing sweetheart!!! You are my DIY hero!!
Hahah Everything in my house is DIY!

This was a great video simple and easy
Thank you so much! My goal was to inspire others and show them how easy it is.
Hi Brooke!! How are they holding up? Did you get an even finish or are there bumps
Hi La La! They are holding up great! No issues

Hi I have a question where did you buy epoxy? I went home deport they say don't sale epoxy
The website link is in my video description!
Thank you for this video. Almost a year later how is this holding up to every day use.
It’s great. Would do it 100x over.
Beautiful 😍 How long does it take to cure?
Hi it needs to dry for 48hrs then it completely cures after 12days

Very, very cool! You did a great job!
Thank you so much!!
Great job I love it
Did your house have to be at a certain temp for the resin to cure?
Do you have to do the veinings?
It’s your preference! If you wants solid white countertops skip on veins.
What do you mean by making sure the backsplash was wet. I’m concerned about the resin setting correctly on the backsplash. You don’t have to let the veins dry before adding the resin?

@@BrookeFarias thanks for answering!!
looks beautiful. I'm worried about the smell. Does it have a strong odor and how long it last?
The epoxy has a smell while it is curing. After it has hardened it has no smell.
You did a great job? I want to buy the same kit but my kitchen countertop is around 50 sq. Ft.! I don't know if this is enough.
Oh hmm. I don’t know too much about sq ft.. haha The website tells you how many cans you will need. The link is in the description.
@@BrookeFarias ok thanks!
Length x width = square ft
I epoxied my bar area, love the look but ended up with some bubble bumps! How can I avoid that when doing my countertops?
This mix is self leveling so no torch required
Did u sand the white paint after the third coat before veining
I did not. I didn’t realize that was recommended until I was finished. I was so delicate I made sure my paint didn’t clump anywhere so sanding wasn’t necessary for me.

Great job👍👍👍 how long lasting isit? Does it catches scrathes or stains or is it easy to clean?
How are they holding up a year later? I'm worried the cheaper epoxy will yellow over time
No yellowing and held up so nice! I’m gentle on them tho and have no kids.
I did a coat 8 hrs ago , did you apply. Second coat ? If so how long did you wait?
I painted each coat when I got home from work so I waited about 24hrs between coats. They say only 4HRS is necessary to dry between coats.
This looks great! Can you put an air fryer on this countertop?
Absolutely! I use my air fryer all the time.
It looks so good- great job!! How has it been holding up so far??
I’ve had it about 6 months. So far it is perfect. Easy to clean and still looks so beautiful. I never put anything hot on it directly to make sure I never mess it up. Personal preference.
Has your epoxy turned yellow? Did it even out?
No yellowing and perfectly even. It’s held up all this time.
Been thinking doing up my laminate benchtop for years. Does the finish feel smooth like actual marble ?
Smooth smooth smooth! That’s a great idea and I might have to do a bench to myself! 🤔🤔🤔
Looks great 👍
Nice job they look great. Do you still like them a year later?
Love them! Still get compliments from visitors.
Can this be remove?
Has it held up well? Any staining or lifting ? Thank you
It has held up beautifully!!
@@BrookeFarias thx so much . I’m really thinking of doing this but we are so afraid it will stain over time

Do you think countertops will need a clear coat
Once the resin is on that’s the clear coat.
How is the feeling of the paint??.. plastic, glass or stone ?
It feels like smooth I guess you would say plastic. It’s not cold like stone gets.

Would anyone dare try this over granite? Can it be done over granite?
The website says yes but that hurts my heart to think about. I’d love to have real granite countertops!
You may have to lightly sand the granite first and check to see if you need to add a primer before adding the paint because it is non-porous.
Who is the lazy guy on the couch let the lady do all the work🤨
Haha, that would be just like my husband, he’s always slightly skeptical of my diy-ing and wants nothing to do with it but always likes the end result!
Does it have a high gloss finish once it’s dried?.
Yes it does
How much cost for the kit?
$180
Lol you couldn’t get a paint tray on day 2 or 3 either? Lol
