Omg that looks beautiful, now I feel more confident I can do this. Thank you
Thank you!! I’m so glad it was helpful!
Very beautiful and pretty much the most realistic veins. Excellent job!!!
Thank you so much!!
I love how your counters turned out!!!
Thank you!!
Wow this one actually looks incredible.. No spray marble, had good control of the brush and because you drew it out beforehand, I believe that's why it turned out successful. Great job! Would love doing this to save money 👌
Thank you so much!!
I agree it’s so beautiful. It’s been a year I wonder what they look like now
It’s very convincing, I saw some of people made the pattern so busy and wrong direction. I like it a lot. Good job 👏
Thank you!
Absolutely Amazing job! I cant wait to try this on a second home I am purchasing. My daughter just had all new marble countertops installed.
Gorgeous, but a fortune. They look like yours. Fantastic job!
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much!! Thanks for watching!
Omg you just made my day! my husband and I just purchased our first house and it’s really old and outdated. I love to cook and bake so the kitchen is my safe haven. I had the idea of refurnishing the kitchen cabinets, but I was running into the problem about the counter. I am so trying this. Thank you so much for your video 🤗
Congratulations on buying your first home! That’s so exciting! I LOVED this project - the countertops still look great almost 3 years later!! I hope you love it too!

Excellent video! Thank you!
Thanks so much!! Glad it was helpful!
You did an amazing job! Your video helped me so much redoing my countertops last weekend!!! What do you use to clean them? Thank you! 😀
Thank you so much!! So kind of you to say, I’m so glad it was helpful! Mostly I use water, if I need to disinfect I use my Young Living Thieves cleaner or gentle soap.
That is very pretty. Great job.
Thank you!!
I love this videos very helpful ❤️thank you
Thank you! I’m so glad!!
This is amazing!!!
Thank you!!
It looks so good! It makes me want to try it. I’m worried though because I am so not a crafty person. or a painter for that matter!
Thanks so much! I was so nervous but I watched Giani’s how to video several times and it helped that the lines could be easily wiped away with water if I didn’t like them and I could start over! It actually ended up being fun!
Can I use it with a wood countertop?? Where do I purchase the kit
This is so cool. I’m going to try this in my bathroom.
Thank you!!
I love it! Great job 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you!!
Wow… Amazing!!!😮👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks so much!!
Gorgeous
Thank you!!
These are the best results I’ve seen! They look great, exactly my goal. I also have to know what color your cabinets are?
Thank you so much!! The cabinets are Perpetual Gray by Sherwin Williams!
Omg it beautiful! I’m going to do this with some gold lines in there as well!!! 🤍
Ooh that will be so pretty!!
Fantastic job!
Thanks so much!!
Yours is the best I’ve seen!
So kind of you to say! Thank you!!
Right! I never wanted to do them because other was not good. This is excellent!!!
Completely agree!! It looks so easy
That looks really good.
Thank you!!
I think this is exact what we want to do with our kitchen. Thank you for the throurough instruction. Did you have to sand out the surface after its done? how resistant it is toward stain and heat?
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching! No, you don’t have to sand the surface when done. Any really difficult stains come out with a Magic Eraser. But overall stains come out easily with soap and water or kitchen cleaner. It’s heat resistant up to 250 degrees so really hot pans off the stove or out of the oven will need a potholder underneath.
Great Job! 😉👍🏻
Thank you!!
I am going to do this for my kitchen counter. Thank you so much. New sub.
Thanks so much!! Glad it was helpful!
Great job.
Thank you!
This looks amazing, will the epoxy dent/chip if used to rough
Thank you! We’ve had them for 7 months now and haven’t had any trouble with denting or chipping and with 5 of us they get heavy use!
Thanks for posting this!
Glad it was helpful!
Love the look, I am going to order my kit
Thank you!!
@@DoriTurnerInteriors Where do you order it at
You kept is really simple and it turned out lovely. Thank you for sharing. How is the product holding up for you?
Thanks so much! It’s holding up great!!
No torching bubbles out? No sandpapering? No 2nd coat? No harsh chemical odor requiring masks and ventilation? Am I dreaming?
Nope! Not dreaming! It's pretty great!
She did sand paper in this video. It’s easy to miss. But it’s to be expected. 5:35 sure looks like sand paper. But again, when using the top coat I would have expected to sand paper and even do a second one as recommended. Maybe I’m wrong and she’s just wiping it down with a rag that is the color of sand paper.
❤
This looks so good I’m curious, have you had any yellowing? I want to do this but I’m scared about the epoxy eventually yellowing
Thank you! I’ve had them for almost a year and a half now with no yellowing! They still look great!!
Beautiful! Thank you for this tutorial! The Giani marble kit already arrived, but I need to get up the confidence to actually do it! 😆
Oh how exciting!! I was nervous, too, but it really ended up being fun! Yours will be gorgeous!! And thank you!
Lisa did you do it?
@@Tanicia1 Well, yes and no…. 😆 I did try to do the marbling, but I did not feel happy enough with what I did and ended up painting over it in the white and then doing the epoxy over the white. I am really pleased with how it turned out with just the white. It looks very pretty with my sage green cabinets. I would’ve loved to have done a beautiful “marble” but I am not disappointed with how mine turned out either!
@@lisas1175 Haha how awesome I'm inspired to try this
This looks amazing! I'm wanting to try it but I'm wondering if it's heat resistant. Will it melt if you set something hot on it?
Thank you!! It’s heat resistant up to 250 degrees!
Hi, this look amazing.
How does it handle hot pan and pot or we have to avoid heat for the epoxy to last?
Thank you
It will hold heat up to 250° - if I have a hot pan coming off the stove or out of the oven, I put pads underneath!
It looks great!
What color is your cabinets?
Thank you! They are perpetual gray by Sherwin-Williams!
Beautiful
Thank you!!
You did such a great job! It looks amazing! I ordered my kit bc of you :) with all the in between dry times, did you do this in 1 day, or did you spread the work out?
Thank you so much!! I spread the work out over a weekend - started Friday after work and applied the epoxy Saturday night so it could dry overnight!
How'd it go with your kit? Turn out nice as well?
Muy Bonito, thanks
Thanks!
I would love to do my kitchen countertops like this but right near the sink area we have pads that are wet all the time. How well does this hold up to wiping constant use and being wet occasionally?also is your backsplash appeal and stick cuz it looks really nice
It holds up really well, the epoxy topcoat hardens and really protects the surface! Our backsplash is traditional subway tile, not a peel and stick…thanks so much!!
Wow! First of all - great job!! Second - thank you so much for this video, I am planning to use the kit on my countertops very soon and it was just so informative! 😍
Thanks so much! So glad it was helpful!!
Would you need to sand a laminate or Formica countertop before applying the primer? Also, if there are any air bubbles in the epoxy is a torch needed like other products?
They do recommend sanding with those types of countertops. I lightly sanded our laminate down before I applied the primer. I very carefully looked over the counters in small sections and used my paintbrush to get rid of a few air bubbles but there weren’t many and I didn’t need a torch.
Very beautiful, my question is about cleaning and disinfecting. What cleaners do you use to clean and disinfect?
Thank you! I use a damp towel to wipe the surface clean, if I need a disinfectant I use my thieves cleaner from Young living or Mrs. Meyers cleaner. For the occasional tough stain that won’t come out with those, I use a magic eraser.
You did a great job. 👏👍 How are they holding up? Do you have to use any specific cleaning chemicals?
Thanks so much! They’re holding up great! I use a damp cloth mostly, my YL Thieves cleaner to disinfect and if I have a stain that won’t come out I use a Magic Eraser sparingly! Love them!
How many coats of the episodes XL did you do? The can says to do 2 topcoats?
Hi there! For the epoxy? We did one coat, that’s what the kit called for and provided…
For the farm house sink did you have to cut any of the counter out? Or did it fit right over?
We had to cut part of the counter. I have a blog post about it: doriturnerinteriors.com/sinkology-farmhouse-sink/
Wow you did an awesome job! Can this be done over butcher block ?
Thank you!! Honestly, I don’t know for sure…I would think it would work on butcher block but I’m not totally sure.
I have the same vision and want gray cabinets
Looks great! Would this work if I just wanted the white finish without the veins?
Thanks! Definitely! Just skip the veins and go straight to the epoxy after the white base coat!
@@DoriTurnerInteriors thank you!
I’m nervous about this but definitely want to try it. Did you practice on anything first? I’m worried that If I mess up I will have to get new countertops. Also, it would be over granite. Does that make a difference?
I did practice on a little sheet that came with the kit. And it’s easy to erase the lines with water if you mess up and want to start over! You can definitely do it over granite! Here’s someone on IG who did it on her granite countertops: instagram.com/reel/Chs4FBoJS5c/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=
By far the best one I’ve seen!!! New subscriber here. How’s it holding up? I’ll be doing mine in 2 weeks. Excited and nervous at the same time lol
Thanks so much! It’s holding up great - it’s been 15 months and it still looks so good!
Is your tile backsplash grouted in or caulked? Just curious because mine is grouted in and I’m debating if I would need to regrout after applying the kit.
We caulked between the backsplash and the countertop. Our backsplash is grouted but we didn’t have to redo anything after besides the caulk.
You have done a great job! Can you please tell me how does it look after a year?
Thank you! Yes, here’s the review I recently posted after two years! ruclips.net/video/LXVMpj501-A/видео.html
Wow!
Thank you!
I’d like to use this product over a blue laminate bathroom countertop. It has some chips on the edges and loose pieces. What can I do to fix them? Will it cover any flaws and can I change the color?
You can use an epoxy glue to fix the chips. The product will cover flaws. I’m not sure what you mean on the color? If you’re asking if the marble kit will cover your blue then the answer is yes. If you’re wanting to change the color of the kit I wouldn’t recommend it. I would look at the other options Giani offers. Hope that helps!
Can i do epoxy in my wood table? Do i need to sand it to prepare the area?
Yes you can! Yes, I would sand it down first so it’s smooth before starting.
Is there enough in the kit for same size countertops and a medium island
Yes!
Beatifull! What color paint are you cabinets?
Thank you! They’re Perpetual Gray by Sherwin Williams!
Ou peut on acheter ces produits merci
Beautiful! Is it heat prevented?
Yes, up to 250 degrees! Thanks!!
Nice work! What do you use to clean the counter tops?
Thank you! Mostly water and kitchen towel, if I need to disinfect I use my Young Living Thieve’s cleaner or a gentle soap!
which Giani should I buy for the counter, white marble?
Yes the white marble! I have the link in the description of the video if that’s helpful! Thanks!
So beautiful, well done. I wanted to ask if it's glossy?
Thank you! Yes, the epoxy has a glossy finish!
@@DoriTurnerInteriors
Thank you💥
Love it 😍 What do you use to clean the countertop?
Thanks! I use my Young Living Thieves cleaner or Mrs. Meyers!
I was wondering how the countertops are holding up? Any stains? Fading? Hot cup rings on the epoxy? Thanks
Hey! They are holding up so well! No stains, fading or cup rings. I use magic eraser for stubborn stains and they come right out!
Wow. Lovely job. Can u easily clean the countertop without ruining the resin coat?
Thank you! Yes you can! I’ve had one tough spot I had to lightly use a Magic Eraser on and it came right out but mostly just soap and water clean up!
What color are your cabinets in the kitchen and what is the brand. I love them so much
Would like these in my house
Thanks so much! They’re Perpetual Gray by Sherwin Williams. They had the color code in the system at Lowe’s so I had it mixed in the Valspar Cabinet and Furniture Enamel!
very good 🤩
Thank you!!
Wow it looks amazing. How has it been holding up ? I heard it yellows . Has yours ?
Thank you! We’ve had them for 11 months or so and they still look like new! I haven’t had any yellowing, I use Magic Eraser if there’s a tough stain and it always comes out!
Wow awesome job they look great . What color are your cabinets ❤️them
Thank you! They’re Perpetual Gray by Sherwin Williams!
Did you have any troubles with epoxy on the sharpe edge?
No, you tape the plastic under the countertop and roll the epoxy off the edge and then use a roller or brush to smooth it out along the edges.
I bought my house 2 years ago and I was just wondering Does it work on dark countertops as well? Mine are brown with sparkles ? I’ve had this in my Amazon Cart for over a month afraid to do it myself ….You made it look fairly easy so I would love to do this! I already painted all my cabinets white with black hardware 😊
Hi Julie! Yes, it will definitely work on your dark countertops! It will look beautiful with your freshly painted cabinets and hardware!
Hello! Can I apply it in to the sink? Thank you
I wouldn’t use it in a sink, I don’t think it would hold up over time…
Hi there! Did you have to sand the counters before? If so with what grit? Thank you so much!
No we didn’t, just gave them a thorough cleaning!
Even with another product in them or did you full remove the previous product?
Turned out beautiful. Any cons or regrets? Is it still holding up? Great job!
Thank you!! No, not at all! It’s holding up great and I’d definitely do it again!
Have you had to apply epoxy gloss coat over time or is it holding up pretty well? Thinking about trying it but home projects take that time/patience when your a DIY’er lol
We haven’t had to reapply the epoxy, it’s been 18 months and they still look fantastic!
Did you have a lot of air bubbles with the epoxy? If so how did you get rid of them?
I did not have trouble with air bubbles in the epoxy…I stirred gently (no shaking) the can for the 3 or so minutes it called for and just poured it on, using a roller to smooth it out and a brush to get in the corners. I didn’t have any bubbles when done.
How is it in the long run? Is it heat resistant? How about not even surface counter tops? My is like little bit grani! Would you do it again?
Thanks
It’s done so well - here’s an updated review I posted recently! ruclips.net/video/LXVMpj501-A/видео.html
Yes, I would do it again. Not sure how it would do on a grainy surface though…thanks!
After using sand paper, did you put another layer of epoxy again?
The only time I sanded was with the primer step…I didn’t sand the epoxy.
Love this! Do you happen to know the name of the paint color used on your cabinets? Also, is your flooring a stencil or tile?
Thank you! The cabinets are Perpetual Gray by Sherwin Williams and the floor is a stencil we used over our linoleum floors! I have a video on it!
@@DoriTurnerInteriors thank you so much! I will definitely be checking it out and repeating it in our kitchen. 😀
@@housefullofgoldens I’m flattered! Thanks so much!!
how has this held up?! I love it!
So well! It’s been 18 months and still looks great. I plan on doing an update video to show them off soon!
I would like to know what color your cabinets are. Are they Giani Coconut Beige?
They are Perpetual Gray by Sherwin Williams!
How did you make sure there were no bubbles, did you have to sand at all?
I did not have to sand, I just carefully spread the epoxy using a foam roller and paint brush (for edges and corners) and it came out smooth. I had a few bumps under the countertop edges where I forgot to tape it off but thankfully you can’t see them!
