For anyone who doesn't yet know - He is a real good teacher. Teaches the stuff that makes the song sound great and passes on some theory as He teaches the song.
What a beautiful old Song… My Dad just passed, he loved Fats Domino and was a young man in his twenties when this Song came out in 1956. Thank you Rob, for this beautiful Cover and lesson!
I have to play this for a friend tonight in memory of her grandmother who died recently and this was her favourite song. So I had to learn it quickly rather than sit and work it out. Your precise instruction was very helpful and I got it straight away - I especially appreciated the bridge with the major seventh etc. Many thanks I will tell her about who I got it off.
I have listened to many teachers, I have yet to find a teacher that teaches the style of music that I love. Not only that, I am learning not only the songs but I am not only grasping the pentatonic scales, but in a way that actually makes sense. I am a much older learner, low end intermediate player, I now don't have to play by the seat my pants. I am a Patreon supporter. And I would add if there anyone that is taking this seriously this young man is giving us all this priceless information. He deserves so much more than I can afford right now. My intention is to go up soon in my tier level. Thank you, I can't tell you how much I look forward to each video and spend hours in my little studio, working it out until I can play your lessons fluently. Five bucks a month for all this? "WH-A-AT?"
I don't think there is ANY song you could not make possible on your guitar. This one I wouldn't ever think was possible - but you did it amazingly enough! Thanks for your great work - love it!
Amazing guitar playing and lesson as always great bass line he'll be rocking in heaven with John Lennon and George Harrison, Tom Petty and many more , what a gig that'll be. RIP Fats😢
Hey Darren, sad the list of great rockers leaving us is growing, but it's to be expected. At least Fats lived a good and long life. Thanks for watching and giving me some encouragement, many more tutorials are on the way. -Rob
Of all subjects on RUclips, you are the best teacher! This is the second song I am learning from you. It took me a few hours to get the first line done yesterday and here I am back again to learn another line. You do a great job of breaking down such complex songs so a novice guitar player like myself can learn! Keep it up!
I like that you do a version of each song right at the beginning--I'm a fast learner so I just need to see someone play it, and you play really well Nice video, great arrangement
we distinguish blues from rhythm & blues with the addition of "complex poly-rhythms and asymetric time patterns" -- while Merle and Chet were amazing, they couldn't, and perhaps no one, could add these patterns on guitar alone. Great job here showing this complexity.
My friend your fine young dude , amazing playing and lesson , when I learn something I love to learn it exactly like the records and you are fabulous thank you from Australia 🇦🇺
My dad is a avid record collector and lover of the classics, I grew up with this music also and it’s still some of my favorite music. Glad you’re enjoying this video! Have fun. -Rob
Amazing! I was just playing guitar yesterday and thought to myself I'd love to learn Blueberry Hill, delighted to see you have made a lesson, learned a few songs from you already. Hope you make some more Rock & Roll and 50's leasons in the future!
Sounds so freakin' fine! You rock, Rob! Fats deserves this tribute/tutorial. I play it on keyboard, and now will learn it for guitar (yes, I play both). Thanks.
OMG .... that is intensely good ... if I can learn it anything like you teach it .. it might become my “go to” guitar song when people say, “play something” ..... lol ... usually I answer by playing “Something”
Whenever I play Blueberry hill or hear blueberry hill, I always think of Richie Cunningham from the show Happy days, where he would sing blueberry hill whenever he was on a date
All teachers should name the key like he does! Blueberry Hill is a popular song published in 1940. The music was written by Vincent Rose, the lyrics by Al Lewis and Larry Stock. It was recorded six times in 1940. Victor released the May recording by the Sammy Kaye Orchestra with vocals by Tommy Ryan on May 31, 1940 (#51050). [1] [2][3] Gene Krupa's version was issued on the Okeh label (#5672) on June 3.[4] Other 1940 recordings were by: Glenn Miller on Bluebird (10768),[5] Kay Kyser, Russ Morgan, Gene Autry (also in 1941 film The Singing Hill), Connee Boswell, and Jimmy Dorsey.[
When following the link to the chords and tabs for free I come to a page were I have to sign up for a subscription. Are there any chords and tabs for free?
Man I gotta work on my patience and stop giving up so fast. Any advice for sticking with it when you're a beginner and it's hard to stick with it? Also where do you think a beginner should start at? Like with which scale and that type of thing should I learn first. Anyway you're one talented dude and I've always came back to your channel if I'm feeling stuck, keep on killing it man!
Also I'm playing on an old electric guitar my grandpa gave me and I have no amp so it makes it that much harder not really being able to hear what I'm playing lol :/
+swamp definitely get an instrument that you can enjoy using. My intro to guitar ebook has a lot of recommendations. I always suggest starting with your basic open position chords, and the major/pentatonic scales. Make sure you’re learning the names of the notes on the fretboard, first E and A strings first, then all the notes on the first three frets. Spice up your practice by learning easy tunes. Check out my lessons on Hound Dog, Stand By Me and Let It Be.
swiftlessons I just saw this but your stand by me was one of the first videos I found on here that I stuck with and learned. I've been practicing every day and trying to learn little by little and not get in a big hurry. You've been a lot of help. Also I'm going to go to my local guitar store and buy my first amp here soon, is there any you would recommend? My grandpa told me a roland cube would be a good one to start with, I wanted to get a few opinions though because he may not know about any newer ones that may be a better fit. I just want one that is simple, nothing crazy
+Herbi Herb hey herb, thanks so much! Generally I would down stroke only on the numbered beats. I was palm muting so was going a lot of down picking. I think if I had played this for a few days, I would have gotten better with picking those bass lines while singing. Thanks again!
Man you have great talent if you can pick up playing and singing this kind of thing all in one day. Taken me a few days now and my voice still goes off key when going up to the Bb7 and D#7.

I genuinely agree
He is definitely good i agree

Agree Jack, Rob is amazing! I love these old songs!
Thanks Rob! Amazing how much more interesting the song becomes when you add those bass lines and chromatic descent on the B.
Thank you for the excellent guitar lesson and tribute to the great Fats Domino. May he Rest In Peace.
Great song and great guitar lesson as always.I really appreciated your effort in teaching.I thank you very much and kindly greet you from Italy!!!
Brilliant! You really have a great way of doing these classic songs justice. They sound so complete and exciting. No need for a band. Well done.
I don't think there is ANY song you could not make possible on your guitar. This one I wouldn't ever think was possible - but you did it amazingly enough! Thanks for your great work - love it!
Randy Penn I heard the original and then came here. I don’t know how Swift does it!
Just had the exact same thought. Its inspirational. In addition to being an excellent player and singer he is also a very creative arranger.
Enjoying this lesson SO much. Feel like this is helping me break through to more fluid playing. Can't thank you enough.
Excellent song, excellent lesson - thanks for it!

Man, that sounds good. Awesome job! I've been playing 20-plus years and still can't master picking. Enjoyed listening.

Are there any chords and tabs for free?
I am getting it now coudnt get it before
How do you play that Bmaj chord? I can't place my 3rd finger like that without muting the 1st string.
Actually, it's quite alright to mute the 1st string. The length of my figures do not permit me to sound that string consistently as well.
Thank you for the reply :)
I do it with my little finger but it was really sore learning to use it in the beginning. It might be worth a try
Can u Do a Lesson On ( All By Myself ) by Fats Domino it was his #1 hit in 1955

Wish you would have done that in C.
I thought the song was done in the Key of C. A friend of mine plays in C chord
This is the original key, though you should play it in whatever key best suits your voice. Consider using a capo.
dommage que tes cours sont pas en francais

are you out of tune? sounds odd
The song changes key at some point, maybe it is why it sounds odd
