And hey... shall go further to what I just said; your presentation is just direct.... no hesitation... no pauses... nothing superfluous.. and simply everything one should wish to know... and no hype.. Again... really appreciate that.. you have both a great mind and a great voice for this... and you're very easy to listen to. Take it from me... I appreciate these things when I hear them.
Thanks! Your review is the best i've heard by now. And as a drummer, I now know for certain that this plugin delivers, like all Lindell plugins. Gonna look out for a good deal
I just did a remix, from a song I did in the past, using the SSL 9000J plugin, and now all tracks with the API-Lindell and got a much more HIFI sound, I was impressed. Depending on the material, I use different strips, but also this one. Great plugin indeed.
Been watching quite a few PA reviews this past week.... and I really like your style of presentation.. much appreciated and keep up good work.... subscribed your channel.... much thankyou!! 🙂
I really appreciate what you're doing, and it's great to have a walkthrough of the Lindell 50. The layout and feature set of this plugin is very attractive. I liked what you did to the kick drum with that 10-band EQ. As someone who has never owned API gear (or any great mixing hardware) I would like to better understand what makes the API EQ unique. It would be nice to hear the same settings compared to a stock digital EQ and maybe another vintage EQ emulation with similar frequency points. I own the IK Multimedia API EQs, but I tend to use the Waves H-EQ when I want an EQ with saturation because of its versatility. How does the Lindell 50 compare to the IK Multimedia emulations? The Waves API 2500 is my go-to mix buss compressor. I'm very curious about the other compressor that comes with this one, but I really couldn't hear the difference on the snare in your example.
Dbx160 really adds an aggressive snap to transients, great on acoustic drums, percussion and bass. Be careful with sample drums as it could make them too pokey.
Hey man, great videos. Love em! But can you please zoom in on the plugin when talking about it, and the text (when you open the oversampling : thingamabob)? Can't see the plugin at all when your talking about it not anything else really, on my phone. You see the only time I watch RUclips is when I'm taking a shit. And I watch on my phone so it's all tiny! Yes I know there's poop and pissed on my phone, but it's also on your phones and especially your toothbrushes! There's tons of shit and piss on your toothbrushes, you'd be shocked to see the results in the lab! :)
It’s been out 6 weeks (& you’re seriously just being a hater 🙄). This is an efficient very informative review. Even busting out Plugin Doctor for quick EQ curve visual reference. Nicely done!
This plug is awesome for guitars and drums for metal and rock. I use it all the time.

I agree. Fantastic. He's reminds me of a younger version of Mixing with Mike who's getting up there. This a much needed channel!
It is one of the best channels I've ever seen, easy to understand every detail and have fun to watch. Thank you for your effort.
Thanks!
LOL i first thought you were referring to the channel STRIP

The IK API stuff is also great.
I just downloaded this plugin doctor demo and it won't recognize the Lindell 50 in aax 🤔
I really heard the difference
can you record through this plugin?
do you have a video on 'the dbx sound'? I see it being used in many studios but would love to know why some engineers prefer it
I don't, but I'll keep it in mind for an upcoming video.

Do you think it’s ok to record through this plugin?
Sure, if your DAW supports it.

You should really level match your audio examples.
Why do you use an effect on your vox with such intense artifacts? It must be intentional..
No vocal FX used.
He is naturally raspy
This is not new its been out for months......there is like over 100 reviews on youtube on this one....
Released Jan.12, 2021. I don't mind not being the first to review it.

At least he took time to use the plugin properly before forming an opinion.
