  • Homemade chips made in the Ninja Air Fryer are delicious, the proof is in the tasting and sorry, I said the wine that I was drinking was French when it is Italian. It is a lovely Pinot Grigio Rosay from the provice of Di Pavia.

      Hi! Welcome to my channel , I hope you loved the chicken and the chips , one thing I always tell people when using your air fryer use your judgement when cooking if I say it took 10 mins you might find it take you 12 mins or maybe 8 mins , simply because we all cut things differently and not all chickens are the same size so you have to allow for that . Just use your own judgement and you will have lots of lovely dishes coming your way . If I can help at all I will, just ask xxx thanks for watching xx

    • @cookingwithsusie

      Actually that is a very good idea ! I think because I work in nursing we only ever use paper towels as everything is then thrown away to help infection control, think I am addicted to them !! • @cookingwithsusie
      @cookingwithsusie  Год назад

      Hello, I have found if using chicken breasts or mini fillets you have to be very careful they don’t dry out . I tend to wrap mini fillets in pancetta and bigger chicken breast in bacon , this stops them drying out and gives them a beautiful flavour . The other way I do them is to marinade them in olive oil and a little lemon juice season with a little garlic salt and they will only take between 4 to 8 mins in airfry depending how big they are . I tend to do mine on the hob just in a frying pan because they cook so quickly but I know lots of people do use the ninja for them and brush them with a little oil . I will look for a recipe and add it to my schedule xxxx

    Susie, love your channel please keep posting as I’m a new owner of a Ninja Air Fryer and use your tips. Can I ask, what temp and time would you recommend for a boneless chicken breast?

    • @cookingwithsusie
      @cookingwithsusie  Год назад +1

      Hi Jason , thank you for enjoying the channel , has the chicken breast got skin on it ! If so that really helps keep it moist . Chicken breasts vary so much in size which effects cooking times . I really mainly on my meat thermometer 🌡. If it is skin less chicken breast I tend to wrap a slice of bacon around the breast to stop it drying out . I like to airfry a chicken breast with the skin on and a medium one is usually about 15 mins on airfry at 200 temp , you can use roast and wrap it in foil I would then say 180 for 25 mins . Please though always check as cooking needs eyes on and checking . If you have no thermometer, I would make a little cut in the thickest part and you need to see clear juices coming out , anything pink is not cooked enough . Cooking times can only be a guide . Hope that helps, just think of it as a mini oven and keep experimenting xxx

    Just found you! Brilliant. How many chips do you think could go in one basket? as in, could you have a couple of layers? Im thinking of getting one of these, then doing chicken (same as you have done) or home made burgers in one, but lots of chips for 4 grandchildren :) xx

    • @cookingwithsusie
      @cookingwithsusie  2 года назад +1

      Hi Sarah, I love my grandchildren soo much too ! I would not recommend in my model doing many layers I put one layer and another slightly less layer as you need to get the air around them to cook and giving them a shake you need a bit of space in the pan ! I think the bigger model a 400 would be a better option for you , in fact now I love mine so much I wished I had bought bigger ! One of my subscribers has had 4 burgers in one basket and said they were fine , I have only put two in at a time in one pan , they were quite large burgers ! Also burgers do shrinks so they may well be fine . It cooks them beautifully. I also use reheat which has proved useful with slices of pizza and sausage rolls . Thanks for you comment xxx

    I'm just over a month into my Ninja dual zone air fryer so thoroughly enjoying your vids. I have found the frozen M&S French Fries to be delicious and as they have a light coating of 'batter' no need to add any oil. Do you do air fry your Waitrose southern fried chicken pieces from frozen? Same question regarding fishcakes and chicken kiev and the like, room temp or frozen? Keep up the good work. George
