  • This is a beautiful lite fish dish, delicate flavours compliment the fish perfectly, we both really enjoyed the slightly roast lemon flavour with the mix of herbs and baby tomatoes bringing a lovely touch of sweetness. I forgot to put butter underneath one fish and it stuck to foil so please make sure you butter your foil . Would work well with salad and new potatoes hope you try it .

    New subscriber here, and I'm a few miles from you down the A36 in Southampton. I have the same Ninja Foodi as you, and I'm so glad to find someone on RUclips with the same one as me 😄. I tried your sea bass recipe and it was delicious. I used those air fryer disposable paper liners instead of tin foil and it worked just as well. I love your hints and tips, and am going to flick through RUclips for more of your videos 😊.

      Hello Nancy , glad you are feeling a little more confident, try something simple like sausages or even frozen fries ! Just remember to keep shaking your baskets and that you can stop
      It at anytime ! So if you set your sausages on airfry the temp will be 200 and I would set your time to 17 mins that is just a guide because if they are thick you might need more time if they are thin they may be ready in 12 mins . You will begin to get confident with it . Xxx

      @cookingwithsusie  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Colleen , yes a lot of people have noticed this with AF300 mine has also the same issue. I always allow for it , if it say 200 for say chips I take it down to 180 and I shorten the time so if it is 20 mins then I cook for 15 that is in what I call the hot draw ! I keep a close eye on it while cooking because as you say it does burn things . Now I am used to it I don’t find it such a problem and I am not sure if it happens in the bigger model , hope that helps xxx

    I'm sorry but Sea Bass is a costly high end fish which many people generally steer clear of. The actual time it took for you to prepare, cook & fiddle about with a load of tin foil is not what this fish deserves. I would have had that in a pan with butter & olive oil seared cooked & plated with a cress salad by the time it took you to press the start button. Yes air fryers maybe a convenient & a non brainer way of cooking. However some things are best left to traditional methods. Can you imagine going to an expensive restaurant and on the menu it says air fryer sea bass? May i suggest cod instead using a parchment paper sealed bag. I don't know why but it seems that the majority of people who buy air fryers find any excuse to cook everything in it.

    • @cookingwithsusie
      @cookingwithsusie  Год назад

      I actually agree with you, on so many points . I was asked to see what it would cook like in the air fryer . It is actually cooked beautifully and maintained so much flavour . I cook sea bream or sea bass once a week usually and it is straight in a pan with butter and any herbs I have around at the time and we have it with tiny new potatoes and asparagus. I always do my steak in a hot pan never in an airfryer and yet we have friends who always put there steak in the airfryer and say it is beautiful. I never try boiling eggs either in the airfryer but others do. I get so many requests to try different things so I always try and give people what they ask for . To be honest my husband now prefers the sea bream cooked that way he loves the sauce that comes with it , basically it is steamed as the airfryer is nothing more than a mini oven . I am a diverse cook and use all my methods of cooking . I do understand where you are coming from and respect everyone’s take on things . Thanks for commenting xx
