Finally a review where a person is actually using the item being reviewed. I'm getting really annoyed with all of the reviews that are voice overs with pictures and no one actually using the item 😂 thank you for this video
I have found that the sync feature is only really useful when cooking fresh foods. For frozen foods, anything more than 10-15 minutes difference between trays, means that the frozen food waiting to be cooked will start to defrost. If you based your total cooking time for that particular food because it was frozen before cooking it (as many instructions for frozen foods state on their packaging), it will change the food's final texture and overall moistness when the cooking timer ends. Some frozen foods can be easily overcooked and can become drier than you wanted due to the delay/sync feature. Imo, it's easier just to do a quick calculation in your head, and add the faster cooking frozen food to the tray later on while it's still frozen. One more thing... when it states in the cook book to add a little bit of oil to the food before cooking it, you should first put that food in a bowl, add the oil to the food and mix it to help the oil coat it more evenly... then add the food to the cooking tray. Doing it this way helps ensure that the food will come out more evenly cooked/crispy.
You need to oil the hand cut fries in a bowl. The whole point is to get them to coated with oil evenly to get that perfect crispness. Your oil fell to the bottom (under the crisper plate) and basically did nothing.
not entirely true. We have Phillips airfryer XL and I am thinking og getting this one. With the Philips you should only use a tablespoon of oil. This makes the fries crispy. It's impossible to dip all the fries in a tablespoon of oil, so you just put in the fries, and then just pour it on top of them. The air fryer will make sure that the fries are covered when it heaths up the oil. If you use anymore oil, you are really not getting the whole idea of using these types of machines.

Thanks guys! love the review. We got ourselves one and used it for the very first time today. I am impressed by the air fryer and Ninja has listened to your feedback as ours do pause when you take the basket out to give it a little shake when cooking! So well done!
Just a bit of info for anyone not in the USA, the smart finish is also sync and does exactly the same thing. Holds the second drawer on hold until the time catches up then both drawers finish together. Love mine 😊
The most disappointing part of the video was that it ended. My wife wants one of these and we had to see how well the unit works. Thanks for a great video with some great humor. I am glad you moved out from your parents.
Great video! Thanks!! Just bought myself one for Christmas. As you stated, it seems the times are increased overall, due to 2 cooking units, compared to my current 1 drawer unit. I'll also need to buy the 'rack' for bacon, which I do all the time and it's PERFECT! Still beats heating up a big 'ole oven. Cheers!
The thing I find most interesting after this excellent video is that people are more concerned about your head gear than the product you are demonstrating. Most people in premises dealing with food preparation wear a head covering, doesn’t matter what style, I have no doubt the nit pickers would have a field day if you have fairly long hair and did not wear a cap or hat. Anyway an informative and well presented video with attention to the things most people would want to know. Nice children as well, a superb test team for the donuts. Last night, I cooked the same meal you show in this video. Instead use rubber or plastic covered thongs to get the wings (or whatever) out of the basket and put that on your plate.

So basically, given that - the feature is 50% useful. Probably better off using a typical drawer style fryer, or not even using the feature at all, and just buy it for the fact that it has 2 cook zones...and just do it how you want. Now what would make it better is that when you clicked named presets of what you are cooking, it allowed you to buffer the cook times to the presets without voiding the feature, this would be a total win... This is still ahead of everything else out there and I think that the 2 cooking zones is a win in general, and how evenly it cooked and utilized its ability on both sides was very competent. Congratulations on the fantastic review! Your humor and insights are truly appreciated. After two years, do you still stand by recommending the Ninja Foodi 2-basket 8qt air fryer? For a family of four, would you suggest opting for the 10qt model instead, or are you satisfied with your current one? How has the quality of the unit held up after two years of use? Some users have mentioned issues with the handle chrome finish peeling off. Have you encountered any problems on your end? Your input is greatly valued. Keep up the excellent work!

Are you sure you can airfry so many chicken wings piles on top of eachother? Is'nt there mean to be a gap between each of them to cook properly? Really confused
Hmmm... love the cooking space but also love the speedi recipies and all in one cooking with steam and air fry. What are the pros and cons of this, and when compared to the Speedi's pros and cons, please?
have you ever air 'fried ' something, then used the air 'broil' to crisp it up more? Enjoy your demos!, but wondered the purpose and difference of air fry and air broil
Just bought one at Canadian Tire for $149 , great price. I just use air frie mode . Have no clues what the other modes like Roast, Dehydrate, Reheat ,Broil and Bake do. For oil just use a oil mist spray bottle. Good video.
Got mine at Canadian tire. Washed the basket removed all wrapping but it smelled like something burning. Maybe because it’s the first time turned on. Ran my hand over the cord & the machine but all felt cool to the touch
I have the same one, a Ninja Dual and it has barely been purchased for a year and has hardly been used and it no longer turns on. Does anyone know why?
By the time from basket 1 goes and match basket 2, where did you put the frozen fries will defrost a bit (with the little heat from the neighbour basket) I have a feeling would need less time for the fries at that point
Those numbers definitely seem off. As a personal preference I would go with a higher degree of heat. And I would have roasted the veggies. An air fryer is just a convection oven with baskets. It does everything an oven can.
I agree. However, we were following the instructions in the book on the veg. It’s a fair way to see if the machine does what the book says it can. Obviously not in that application. Thanks for watching and the comment. Marc
I just won one of these at a workplace employees Christmas raffle, 3rd place. The 1st place prize was a drone. Pfffft, can't cook wings with drone. Anyway, I'm super stoked to have a Foodi Ninja sitting on my kitchen counter !
Unit is 1690 watts ! Yes you would trip breaker if used two or any other appliances on the same circuit. If you have two circuits in your kitchen ..better & cheaper to just buy two single basket air fryers
It's a bit slow for sure, but gives that air fry finish, and using less power, less heat into your house than an oven. However, no preheat time. Pros and cons! - J
@TheAverageKitchen thanks for the reply, yeah I wasn't sure I figured it was just trying to maintain the heat,by it clicking and the fan would go to a higher speed, I probably exchange this one for another one.
An observation! I used my Ninja AF400 for the first time tonight and found that I had no hope of reading either of the books supplied. OK so I’m old but anyone with any sight difficulty will find the instructions useless.

Ninja provides a book with suggested cool times and cook settings. Marc
Thanks for the info

Same here💚
Awesome ! Marc
I love you for this so much. You're my hero.
We love that you watched it !! Cheers. Marc
Thanks so much! I've upgraded to the 2nd generation for the last 18 months or so. My sister now has the original, and it's still being used. In both cases, there's wear and tear for sure but still works great. As for the size, I'd go with the bigger one for sure. Thanks again! - J
@@TheAverageKitchen Thank you for responding so quickly! I appreciate your recommendations, and I'll be placing an order soon!
Glad we could help! - J
You're funny as hell, man. Good stuff lol.
🤙🏼🤙🏼
Don't use metal tongs to take out the food will damage the non stick use silicon
Good tip! - J
The review was great. The humour was the best. Definitely 2 thumbs up from me 👍👍
Amazing thanks so much !! Marc
Great review bro! Loved it. Just bought one and was looking for advice.

47 min. for chicken wings 😂😂😂
🤙🏼
I got this for Christmas 😳 I hope I can find it useful, I'm more of the conventional oven
Let us know how you like it! - J
Thank you for the fantastic review love you tasting the food too and I actually watched all of it.
Thank you we appreciate it! - J
Still live with your parents lol
Lol times are tough! #idontactuallylivewithmyparents - J
Thank you 😊 just bought one 😊
Hope ya love it !! Thanks for watching. Marc
Are you sure you can airfry so many chicken wings piles on top of eachother? Is'nt there mean to be a gap between each of them to cook properly? Really confused
Absolutely you can. I’ve been airfrying them like that for years. Just give them a shake or mix them with tongs every 10-15mins. Marc
Hmmm... love the cooking space but also love the speedi recipies and all in one cooking with steam and air fry.
What are the pros and cons of this, and when compared to the Speedi's pros and cons, please?
Speedi is a more versatile product, I’d go with it. Marc
Can it do different cooking methods at the same time, say air fry in one basket while roast in another?
Yes it can! - J
@@TheAverageKitchen Thanks...
👍
Nice tutorial cute kids God bless you
Thanks you 😊
Very helpful video..thanks
Thanks for watching ! Marc
The humor/jokes on this video is next level entertainment ^^
edit: I have the dual zone, and my pauses
Thanks for the great comment. Glad u enjoyed the video ! Thanks for watching. Cheers ! Marc
PS. - good to know on the “pause”
have you ever air 'fried ' something, then used the air 'broil' to crisp it up more? Enjoy your demos!, but wondered the purpose and difference of air fry and air broil
Great question, I never have actually. Thanks very much for watching !! Marc
Ninja Foodi digital air fry oven , the oven that crisps and flips up & awa
Yup. We’ve reviewed that one. Thanks for watching.

Just bought one at Canadian Tire for $149 , great price.
I just use air frie mode . Have no clues what the other modes like Roast, Dehydrate, Reheat ,Broil and Bake do.
For oil just use a oil mist spray bottle.
Good video.
Awesome price. Thanks for watching. Marc
Got mine at Canadian tire. Washed the basket removed all wrapping but it smelled like something burning. Maybe because it’s the first time turned on. Ran my hand over the cord & the machine but all felt cool to the touch
My daughter did steak in hers they were good. She made chili today said it was good.
Yeah could be the first time cooking with it. - J
Awesome! - J
So much fun watching the video 😄
Thanks so much for the great comment. Happy new year ! Marc
You guys would really enjoy chicken on skewers done in the Airfryer on the skewer rack
Very interesting. Didn’t know that was an option. Marc
Great demo! Appreciate the laughs! 🤣
Haha thanks for watching! - J
thank u
You’re welcome ! Marc
Can one add seasoning to food before frying?
Absolutely!
Hi guys does it make the whole place smell like food?
That depends what you're cooking! - J
Does this really fit on the kitchen counter?
It’s absolutely does !
I have the same one, a Ninja Dual and it has barely been purchased for a year and has hardly been used and it no longer turns on. Does anyone know why?
Contact Ninja maybe? - J
Great video just I bought it my ninja air fryer
Thanks so much ! Let me know how u like it ! Marc
Which is the best and healthiest oil to use
Not sure we're qualified to say which oil is healthiest, but avocado oil seems to work well. - J
By the time from basket 1 goes and match basket 2, where did you put the frozen fries will defrost a bit (with the little heat from the neighbour basket) I have a feeling would need less time for the fries at that point
You're probably right. That goes back to learning times specific to your desired level of doneness. Thanks for watching! - J
Marc
Use Max Crisp for toasted sandwiches
👍🏼👍🏼
Did you add any seasoning to the chicken or just olive oil?
Yes we did ! Thanks for watching. Marc
I just won one of these at a workplace employees Christmas raffle, 3rd place. The 1st place prize was a drone. Pfffft, can't cook wings with drone.
Anyway, I'm super stoked to have a Foodi Ninja sitting on my kitchen counter !
Haha that's awesome! And we agree about the drone. Let us know how you like it! - J
🤣🤣🤣 love this comment !! Marc
How much power does it use? Will it trip a breaker using 2 on the same circuit? Why not just get & use 2 separate Ninja's?
Great question. But I don’t know the answer to it. Something maybe to ask Ninja ? Marc
Unit is 1690 watts ! Yes you would trip breaker if used two or any other appliances on the same circuit. If you have two circuits in your kitchen
..better & cheaper to just buy two single basket air fryers
Great review, going to get one now
Awesome thanks for the feedback. Let us know how you like it. Marc
Thank you for the review I just got one for Christmas I’m gonna try it today !
Awesome! Let us know how it works out! - J
I used it came out great thank you and even made the donuts !
Thanks for your review I subscribe I appreciate your channel
Thanks so much for the subscribe, we really appreciate it! Glad everything turned out well! - J
This was a great video. Thanks for doing multiple meals
Thanks so much for the great comment !! Marc
Maybe I missed it, but what size air fryer did you use in the video?
It's an 8 quart. Thanks for watching! - J
How is it supposed to Cook things faster than an oven my oven would cook twice the volume to the same standard in 25 mins 🤔
It's a bit slow for sure, but gives that air fry finish, and using less power, less heat into your house than an oven. However, no preheat time. Pros and cons! - J
I’m in the U.K. and my dual stops when I take out a drawer.
Wow very interesting ! Thanks for letting us know. And thanks for watching ! Marc
Tres bon video et avec d'informations utiles, j'aime bien ton humour durant tout la vidéo , bien aimer aussi les commentaires de ton collègue 👍
Merci !! Marc
I pushed one so far I love it but was wondering is it normal to here a clicking sound, and the fan kick up higher, it seems mine does it alot.
I would say that is not normal. Thanks for watching. Marc
Great point! - J
Great point! - J
Is this a better air fryer than the Tower? Is it worth the extra money
We haven't tried that one yet, but if you like the idea of cooking two different things at once, it's worth it! - J
