Hi Bob and Brad! Question for you guys, (maybe for a video sometime?) Are full range of motion front / lateral raises with dumbbells good for your shoulders? Or can they cause long term damage? (I.E raising a dumbbell from your hips the entire way up above your head with straight arms.) Thanks!
Bob, please take care of your health. I’ve truly become attached to you. You and Brads advise and love has helped me on my darkest days. Love ya from SC Getting older my friend. 😢❤
As a diabetec, it's very important to check everything about the feet, very often. Don't 🛑 wait for the doc appointment every 6 months, or once a year. In the winter nearly everyone keeps socks, shoes, etc. on their feet 24/7. Diabetecs MUST look at their feet, at least once a week. ✅
As always, really useful advice, thank you so much! An additional tip: You can check how much your toenails grow on the different toes; this might give hints about regions of the foot with reduced circulation or with some challenge. I have put red nail varnish on all my toenails after my 5th metatarsal break so I can see whether that is growing out, and lo! the small toenail is not growing (yet).
Thanks for this, Bob and Brad. I have cold lower legs and have to wear socks to bed. I found the first pulse, never knew our feet had a pulse. Happy 2023. Doc's
You guys are awesome! Perfect timing as my plantar fasciitis has been flared up bad, I have tight calves and my feet are always cold so I'm always wondering about my circulation.
Thanks guys! I always thought I had bad blood flow in my feet and hands because they get colder a lot easier than the rest of my body. I actually have great blood flow in my feet. My skin turns back to pink within 1-1/2 seconds.
Just my opinion as a diabetec..... Poor circulation can turn bad in just a week. Maybe mark some type of calendar 📅 & thoroughly inspect his feet once per week. ✅ People feel very guilty AFTER their loved one loses a toe/foot/leg.
@@mddell58 That is a constant daily event for me. As well as ensuring he sees his Dr's and gets his meds. I'm well aware and know what you're saying is true. He's almost lost one once, but they were able to help him recover.
Wow i did not know I had a swollen ankle! If you had not of put this out I wouldnt have looked at it, it felt a little achey, now I will endeavour to bring down the swelling perhaps with a tumeric honey rub elevation and gentle movement, does that sound about correct?
Fun fact: my husband wore (cheap) knit polyester uniform pants for years. And the fabric actually wore the hair off his calves! So, note to Brad, this could be from socks or whatever. Or not. 🤷
Hey bob and brad, I have a question about healing a bad hamstring strain. I pulled it initially about 8-9 months ago and I have been resting it with light use such as playing basketball, jogging, and very light stretching. Do you have any advice on healing my hamstring? Thanks.
If I may, basketball and jogging don't seem like light activity for the hamstrings at all, especially if you've got tight hip flexors and weak glutes. Even stretching isn't necessarily great for healing a strained muscle. You're probably continually reinjuring yourself without realizing. I was having some hamstring pain for awhile. What helps is to stop stretching and instead stretch and strengthen the glutes and hip flexors.
No, but women do have a little bit of hair on the big toe. If your natural hair color is lighter, it’s less noticeable. My own experience- younger self had to periodically shave big toe. Post menopausal self has no hair on big toe anymore, and sparse hair on legs now. I’ve wondered if that’s due to my age, or circulation, or maybe both??
Did Bob have a stroke? I am so glad to watch you both working together ❤️. That is a big sign of true friendship. Keep teaching us these health principles.
Bob has been diagnosed with Ataxia. It affects his balance and his speech, but does not affect his thinking. We appreciate your understanding and support!
I didn't understand the pulse test. Are you checking whether you have a pulse, or how strong it is? How fast it is? If it's about speed, how fast should it be?
Hello Bob & Brad, How can you tell the difference between costochrondritis and a slipped rib? If I stand in a somewhat slouched position and try to touch my chest with my chin, I experience a sharp pain in the centre of my chest. Also, if turn/twist to the left side (where I fell) it feels significantly tight, and in normal life if I sit up after sleeping, I feel a tear like pain where my sternum is. Asides from the information above, I feel very sore and tender under my arm pit if I was to touch it / or put force, the same goes for the centre of my chest. Every now and then I feel a sharp pain from the left and right pectorals and sometimes some pain and aching in my back in-between the shoulder blades. Thanks a lot, Tommy
So, if can grow hair on my feet but growing hair on my legs stop, what does that mean? And it is all of the legs, not bald spots. :) After I got past age 55, now 60, I noticed the change.

If he has ataxia and speech issues, he could have the beginning symptoms of SCJD.

I found the first foot pulse quick, but the second near the ankle i never found. Maybe me breaking my ankle twice had something to do with it.

That's extremely useful knowledge. Thanks!!
What are the differences in symptoms of peripheral neuropathy and poor circulation?
Great question!!
Yes, I hope to hear a response for that.
Curious to know too.
Poor circulation relates to blood vessels rather than the nerves.
@@BobandBrad well of course it does! I knew that. What are the DIFFERENCES in SYMPTOMS of each one?
These are great tips! I'm going to check my hubby's feet. He has diabetes and I worry about his feet. He has no feeling in them. Thanks again! 😊 ❤️

You might have lymphedema, which is backed up lymph fluid in your ankle tissues.
Such well needed explanations and information,Ty👍
Glad it was helpful!
Wish you both the best in life 🙏🏽
After menopause there is less hair on a woman's legs so the hair test won't work for women who are older.
Yep
Yep
Didn’t know that, but I did lose most hair on my legs now I am older
Besides he was talking about hair on the feet and I've never had hair on my feet. I think that's only for men
Does the electric foot mats work for circulation?

Agree 100%...long johns, wool socks and high laced work boots make my ankles and calves bald every winter. So far it grows back in summer
Thank you for sharing this info
These guys are the best.
I have Reynauds and my toes and fingers go through a festive white/blue/red cycle.
I wear long johns and wool socks all winter...by spring my ankles are bald and it grows back over the next summer (so far)
Do varicose veins matter? Unilateral or bilateral?

If George Costanza can be a hand model, there's no reason Brad can't be a foot model!
George also did a photo shoot in his underwear so....
😂
I would love it...

I kind of wondered about that, too. I assume it's how strong it is.
Haha how can ya not love a video that throws in a Forrest Gump reference?! 😁
Posterial tibial pulse is on arch side of foot, not outside foot
You two are saints
Great video

Thanks as always Gentlemen
Bob testing pulse top , notices toe white still 😂 oh oi bob blood not come back
Today is the 134 day of my ankle sprain and i am in to much pain please help me 😭
Hi dr I do have a brugada syndrome
Does is very dangerous?
Is the hair test the same for women? I have NO hair on the top of my feet, but could it just be because I’m female?
With severe raynauds I was surprised to see the toe test work normally. How strange!
bob and brad are my dad
Not clear about the 2 pulses? No numbers? Just see if you find it or not?
In about 10 percent of all people , the dorsal pedialis is hard to find
My legs have been bald for decades
Left not much, right ok unless sitting longer then a few minutes.
Those brown lines look like they let out some blood to check the blood flow.
Good feet. Couldn't see any calloused. 👍
Da mereți la mata

Is Bob okay ? He's talking super slow
I agree, something is different with Bob today. Hope he's fine.
