You could check Micara Tewers, she recreated a few celebrity looks I think. Her videos aren't as organized I would say, but very funny and if you do not plan on following along its fine anyways :)
I was thinking that’s too. But, unless she wants to design her own. But then this is so beautiful, and SO beautiful on her, not to mention low key a FLEX!
UPDATE: BLOG IS UP on www.coolirpa.com Writing a blog post on this project for anyone wondering about the cost, time, and stitch settings. Check back on coolirpa.com :) UPDATE: BLOG IS UP
April.... What?!? My face during the entire video was confusion because I’m just so shocked that someone can be THIS talented. All of those steps were so detailed! And not just saying this but I agree with a below comment that your dress actually looks prettier than the original! Ahhhh you are amazing and deserve all the recognition in the world ❤️❤️❤️
Sewing yourself actually makes you value the work that anyone puts into making a garment. You'd be surprised with the amount of effort that it takes to make something that fits perfectly ☺️
I know how to sew and I can tell you the cost of the fabrics Alone will only be marginally cheaper than buying a knock off especially if you are on the larger side of the spectrum
@@marisotoserna And I bet any knock-off that you'd find would be made slipshod and not fit you well. That's why we sew. We can shape the dimensions for a true fit to our bodies and control how well made the garment is sewn.
I just looked up Brie's dress, and I actually think yours looks better. Maybe it's because you wore your dress outside and the sequins literally sparkle in the sunlight, whereas Brie's dress looks kinda dull since she is indoors. But whatever the reason, your dress is beautiful and looks so magical!
I agree. Maybe because this fabric is thinner and less of it??? But it looks so beautiful and flowing on April. Just like it’s part of her. No offense to Brie Larsen, who looked great, but it just didn’t seem to gel on her. More like something she was carrying somehow. O, I’m not making sense, but you know what I mean??
I also like hers better. I like the thinner lines, the lack of emphasis under the bust and it probably weighs a LOT less HA! Both dresses are gorgeous tho.
I think it's because this dress is movable whereas Brie's kind of looked stiff and heavy because there was actual crystals on it. But both of the ladies rocked their looks!
Sarah M I think it's something along those lines. My (weird) way of thinking about it is if I were to pick which one Wonder woman would wear, I would guess April's because it's stunning but you definitely can move in it still (for superhero business and whatnot) Honestly it's made with a stretchier fabric so it looks fairly comfortable too
This is wonderful! I like that you are honest about the differences between your dress and the original - no crystals, different spacing, etc. But your dress has the same elegant spirit and beautiful lines while being affordable. Please make using red carpet dresses for inspiration a regular series, I'd love to see what you do with them!
you're so humble to say that yours "can't compare to the original" when it literally looks like you ripped Brie's off her body and put it on. VERY well done!!
I think this is your most stunning creation yet. I've been watching you for years, and watching you grow from a teenager into an adult doing what I think is high level creations. Mistress is super stunning, it's not really about the material so much as the cut in the fit which I think you got so spot-on. I started watching you for the thrifted Transformations, but if you were going to make this a series oh, I would totally watch it as well.
i usually hate the styles that go on the red carpet, but by far this has been the best one i have ever seen, i love the cape style and the fabric used, keep it up
Wow never been this fast for a vedio in my life! I like how you said you cannot compare the workmanship to the original dress. Most DIYers never do that. They are like comparing them to the original one. Even people commenting say wow this is even better than original ...etc. that makes me angry. Because people spend months researching, developing those products. So a copy will not be better than that. Recreation is good. But must give the deserved credit for the original. Really like the fact you did that. Also awsome creation as always
Absolutely gorgeous! The dress looks amazing. I will definitely follow this tutorial as soon as I find the perfect fabric for me. Thank you for sharing how you created it! 🌹
I’m blown away by your talent and humility. To say your future is bright, is an understatement. Congratulations on using your talent to inspire so many people. 👏👏
I love how clear your guidance is! You are so talented! I'm curious though why you left the gown so long that it dragged? Amazing on you, so incredibly flattering!
I HOPE YOU MAKE THIS YOUR NEXT SERIES: Recreating celebrity's outfits!
OMG YES PLEASE
Oh yes please ❤️❤️❤️
Yassss
Yes yes yes

You should wear that for your reception after your wedding ceremony
Ahhh such a great idea! :D
Lavern Ann mowatt i agree 😍 such a beautiful dress. She looks amazing 🤩
She would look beautiful
I was thinking that’s too. But, unless she wants to design her own.

@@coolirpa definitely the best use for this gown imo!
I have been subscribed to you for YEARS and I think is literally the most beautiful piece you have made yet!!

You need to do this more often I love this I think you should make this a series on your channel
This is why I need to learn how to sew. Why pay a lot of money when you can make it yourself? That dress looks amazing on you.
don't underestimate the cost and work of sewing yourself! A project can easily cost me 50 euro's
@@mipithelabel And the same style of dress can cost more in the store!

I hope Brie Larson sees this, I think she is very appreciative of artists and she would love this! It’s beautiful, thank you for sharing with us!
If she’s on Instagram you could tag her or @ her!
Ohhh coool!!!
She loved it?
Sooo good! I actually prefer the lines on your dress! It makes more magical looking 😍
That recreated Celine dress is amazing. The draping of the sleeves reminded me of a Japanese wedding kimono. I think that it is called, Shiromuku?

WOW. Everything about this is gorgeous. The sleeves. The slit. The neckline!
I’m so excited for this video! I’ve been so inspired to sew more because of you!!

Hey as an interesting side info, would you be willing to give a breakdown of material costs too?
April, OMGOODNESS! You worked the heck out of that dress. Thanks for the tutorial.
you're so humble to say that yours "can't compare to the original" when it literally looks like you ripped Brie's off her body and put it on. VERY well done!!
The colours work so well. The sequins the lining your skin tone.

I don't know how to sew I just love her and I think she is the best one who makes this type of content here in youtube.
I was legit shopping for a discount version of this dress before I got the notification for this video
Maybe ask her for making one similar for you, or the same. And buy it . She will get profit out of it too
Oh my word! What a lot of work! Such a fabulous result! It must feel so empowering to be able to create your own fashion from pictures! wow!
You’re so incredibly talented!! The dress looks amazing!
When you see this fabulous creation and forget that it is a top and bottom put together. Flawless, seamless and priceless. Job extremely well done.
I absolutely love watching you make a pattern freestyle!
Hahah really?! I'm glad you enjoy it :D
