I made this dress for a wedding! I was a bridesmaid and after some hardcore searching to match the color the bride requested, I followed your instructions and made a variation of this dress. My dress was not as long but a little past the knee, and I kept the square design for the cape, but turned it sideways to give it an abstract look. I LOVEEEE my dress! Thanks for the tutorial :)
Hi Maree, that's awesome! I'm happy my tutorial helped and it's even better when you put your own twist on it. If you posted pics I would love to see. Tag me @nadira037 or #nadira037 😊❤️
Thank you for your tutorials. I find it difficult to find modest clothing that I like and your tutorials let me expand my wardrobe with outfits that are tailored for me. Yes please, more tutorials.Thank you.
Ca Roll and stuff that is "modest" is becoming more and more flashy like maxi dresses have more cut outs or are more clingy and trousers are more slim cut and it's so immodest 😠
Such a beautiful piece! Especially in that color. Very elegant. It made me smile that you did a tiny version so we could see how it looked once cut and unfolded.
Omgosh!!!! this has got to be the most BEAUTIFUL maxi dress i've ever seen!!! I haven't used a sewing machine in 16 years, but you mk me want to take a class sooooooooooooo badly. #AMAZING
This is awesome! You show every step of the way and explain it perfectly! I keep seeing stuff like oh, sew on the sides... and then I go and I have no clue what sides they talked about! Or sew the waistband to the skirt... but I don't know in what position! I love how you explain yours!!
I have not sewed anything in over 30 years and was just a beginner then. However, lady after watching you get down. I am ordering a sewing machine and serger next week. Please more tutorials. I am also a plus size, so I am looking for things that would be good for me. You are amazing and gifted. Awesome beauty.
thank you so much for your style and "sewing tips for dummies" lol, you make my passion for sewing more enjoyable and I look forward to your future creations
More tutorials, you've got me interested in making my own clothes and I would like to do a textiles course in my gap year inshallah, thanks Nadira 💕💕💞 - love Leyla
These tutorials are fabulous! So clear and easy to follow. I can't wait to make the peplum shirt and this dress with a cape! I can't believe I haven't found your videos until now.
As Salaamu Alaykum, My name is Hafsah Bint-Abdul-Aziz and I am a high school senior in Pennsylvania. I have been watching your youtube channel for a couple months now and I love all of your DIY tutorials I find them to be very helpful as well as skilled. However as helpful as they may be I am still not an expert sewer. 🙂 For my senior prom I would love to be able to wear the cape maxi dress and was wondering if you sew for other people and if so would it be possible for you to make it for me and how much it would cost? I would take my own measurements that you would need and we could make the money transactions online through Paypal or whatever would be best for you. Inshallah I hope you and your family are doing well and I hope to hear back from you soon. Shukran!
Miss/Ms/Mrs Lady you are the 💣!!! YESSSS!!! Still relevant in 2021!!! I Love It!!! Thank you for sharing!!! I just bought a sewing machine soooooo we gon see lol!!!
I wish i could double-subscribe to your channel. you're everything I've been searching for recently as I have been researching and seriously considered converting (inverting?) to Islam. All the resources I have found have been middle eastern women, not that there is anything at all wrong with that, I've just been searching for someone who is a little bit more like me to look up to.
Cierra Peters hey you should check out laila nasheeba's channel on RUclips she's really good at explaining Islam especially for those living in the west just type her name in the RUclips search, all the best ❤️
Cierra Peters Assalamu alaykum sister I converted two years ago! Im Dominican from NYC 😊 i hope you made the best decision of your life by now 💚🙏 in sha Allah
As Salaam Alaikum sisters. Masha'Allah. The color, draping, and ease of sewing is beautiful. I'm adding to my project list. Love the videos and look forward to seeing so much more.
waleekm alsalam ....i am a muslim girl from Palestine..ur videos is very useful for me because u made muslim cloth now i take a sew beginner corse ...and ur videos is my start to design ...keep going ...u r creative girl ...thank u very much i wait for ur new
Panda-Cube Muslim sisters wear this often to satisfy the required "hijab" which in reality isn't simply a headscarf, but a way of dressing and carrying oneself modestly, even though people often refer to the hijab as the headscarf. The sister is correct, the way to satisfy the hijab cover the neck. No shade to Nadira, a sister just wants to see another sister raising in ranks in this life and the next ☝
I love your cape dress. Wow! It's amazing how much our styles are very similar. I'll be watching all your videos. I have never made a pattern, I just use a similar item that I'd like to copy & change it as I go. But, I am starting to see why making a pattern is good!
Your tutorials are so helpful...thankyou ! easy to follow..understand..and duplicate. Truly appreciate the the time you take to give of yourself. Cindy.
this is a gorgeous piece and i love your sewing technique. so clean and crisp. i just watched most of your sewing videos and i really love your sewing techniques. i would love to see more. thanks for posting. my favorite so far is the maxi dress/circle skirt tutorial. keep up the good work. thanks! I certainly agree. The main reason why I began sewing for myself about 4 years ago. There is little to no modesty in today's retail market.
Ca Roll and stuff that is "modest" is becoming more and more flashy like maxi dresses have more cut outs or are more clingy and trousers are more slim cut and it's so immodest 😠
Absolutely FABULOUS! This dress is fit for royalty... 👑
problem is, I'm so extra, I'd be in this in the grocery store slinging my cape lollll. Gorgeous
