These guys are getting paid, so they are professionals and therefore should be subjected to such standards.
I see a lot smaller outlets here on youtube producing quality videos, even in 4k. These guys output in a 1080p that is, to boot, of a shitty quality: noisy and grainy.

Guy Divosta There are not professionals and they are not getting paid. Well, by youtube maybe. That doesn't make them pros. Once again why point at everything else? If you have a problem buy a 90,000 dollar Volvo or have someone lend it to you and do it your self. Simple as that.
I love the fact that the seats are comfortable, yet very sleek. Frees up a lot of space for rear seat passengers. Mercedes have adopted a similar approach for the seats in the new E Class and it really frees up more legroom in the rear.
Same with tesla. Such a shame BMW and Audi haven't caught on.
The 5 Series is the worst culprit in this regard.
Clax the M3/M4 have that thin profile seating. Maybe it will trickle down the range.

Lewis McGurk That doesn't make Land Rover an Indian company. They're still built in Birmingham, England and if they were to be made in India many people (myself included) would be woefully disappointed because being built in Britain is part of Land Rover's identity.

I'm telling you When I bought this for my wife I was like oh it's a Volvo then I drove it I don't wanna give it back to her. Gets awesome gas mileage compared to what you get with the competitors. You guys should review their new luxury sedan the big one that competes with the s class

In the UK, this Volvo fully spec'd is same price as entry level Range Rover. Still my favourite SUV at the moment is the Q7. In my opinion you cannot beat design and build quality of new Audis, and although the Q7 exterior is questionable in photos and perhaps videos, in person it is really nice

Bentley interiors are full of VW parts. Many of those button are shared with even the Golf, a 20K car.
RR - ALL buttons come from BMW, which are used even in their 1 series.
look up the RR wraith inspired by music and try to tell me the volvo interior is better than that
The base cars of Rolls and Bentleys are pathetic. You barely get leather dashboard.
The cars you see online have 200K of options added to the interior.
Base for base, this XC90 is crazy good. Don't be blinded by a fancy brand.
A Blentley Bentayga is just a Touareg in disguise.
Volvo is the best family car, to me just 100% safety satisfaction. Don't really mind the smaller tank, actually I like the way they reduce the weight by minimizing the gas tank size, that's the significant element to make the car faster. Plus I like to visit gas station multiple times in a short period, but to some people this coming a nightmare.

The thing is, Volvo is FAR superior to Land Rover, in reliability.
Had a opportunity yo listen to this sound system! I completely agree! Its ASTONISHING! But the Volvo all the years had frankly breathtaking audio. It needs a 6/8 cylinder though... 4 cylinder engines are going to break Volvo...
Niyaaz Isaacs engine choices are poor on this car. doesn't compare to a RR. Meridian Audio in RR sounds better than the B&W system...

John Yakhszyan Sorry but the Range Rover have 340 horsepower and it's supercharged. The Volvo XC-90 is turbocharged and supercharged and got 375 horsepower. Volvo have a 4 cylinders. The Range Rover have 8 cylinders

Hannes Troedson which Range Rover? the sport or full sized range all look far better exterior and interior. The only plus of this over the range is the infotainment system but there's a new infotainment system on the f pace that is as good if not better than than this.

Unless the video is sped up, that hatch opening around 6:00 will peel your face off. And I love it !! Haha that's how they all should be. This vehicle is just incredible. If Volvo would've put the TT straight 6 from their other cars in this it would've been perfect. The twin charged engine just seems too stressed to last really long. But my god the interior of this car is amazing. Way better than the Mercedes GLE/GLS (coming from a Mercedes fanboy. ) I would buy this over almost all of its competitors (idk about the Range Rover, but it's more expensive. )

Martin Illuminertix I agree with the electronics part but nowadays, automatic transmissions have surpassed what humans can do and now shifts are a lot smoother and they are a lot more economic with fuel consumption and there is less chance of the transmission failing because a human has been griding gears for 3 years has been taken out of the equation. but also to your question about repair costs, car companies and mechanics don't care, it makes them more money.

Electronics in cars now a days very rarely fail if at all of the life of the vehicle. I am not talking alternator/battery. I had a 2012 Dodge Journey with every electronic bell and whistle and had 200k miles on it before selling it and never once had an issue with any of the electronics. Sometimes a celebration may need to be redone or the sensor may need replacing but those usually cost as much as a spark plug. They can already make cell phones last forever (minus the battery) as long as it is taken care of, car electronics are FAR more durable and have to meet much higher standards.

Volvo have always been very very discreet about their , many many safety ,reliability and stylish achievements over the last 60 years , Brilliant Manufacturers 🇸🇪🇬🇧👍,we here in 🇬🇧 14th Jan 2021 we had heavy snow , my xc90 mk1 just breezed around dumped cars all the way home and didn’t slip or miss a beat once 😊👍🇸🇪 , a truly underestimated all rounder ,well done VOLVO 🇸🇪👍

that's why he's replacing it so much. Early model air suspensions the tech wasn't great yet. They are way more reliable now, but still I wouldn't touch these cars out of warranty. Love the A6 Allroad though, wish those were still available in a 2016 model in the US/Canada.
Until the snow came, I always believed Range Rover is pointless, but those modes for off-road, showed its use after the heavy snow and it is great, just make you feel safe.

I got reliable inside-information from an employe at Volvlo Cars in Gothenburg the autumn of 2014 which stated that Volvo Cars' economy was really, really bad and if the new XC90 failed in sales Volvo Cars would probably be no more.
As a swede I'm very happy that the car was a great success for Volvo and won several awards, like SUV of the year 2016.
Eddy good job on the editing and providing honest review. I want to suggest showing move of the cars features in implementation as well as the back seat and cargo space. People buy these to haul people and things not only to look dope. love this car! But I'd get the gas version

Sofair it looks like a straight 6 car. That's what it should have but again it's front wheel drive based.
Sofair it is a 4 cylinder, but it makes 250-350 horsepower depending upon the spec. The top of the line t6 polestar or t8 (400hp hybrid) are actually really fast. I definitely agree it needs a v8 model to compete with like the x5 M market. I work at a Volvo dealership, I've driven every possible configuration of this car.
I love the T8 engine... turbocharger, supercharger, electric motors, you can plug it in and drive all-electric; there is a lot of technological voodoo happening under that hood! Between the XC90 and S90/V90 (all look incredible) it really seems like Volvo is recapturing that mojo they had during the '80s - conservative style and unorthodox engineering. Hopefully these new cars prove to be as durable and long-lived, too.
Well, the only market were people really want a V8 or V6 is in the US. And this car isn't built for the US market, it's built for the Chinese market. In China (and all other countries than the US) people who have the kind of money to buy a car like this are quite enviromentally aware, and for them a turbo, supercharged and electric powered-engine are way more attractive than a 'Murica V8.

I was a GTR fanboy all my short life im 21, i still love the gtr and is one of my dream cars but growing i was understanding the german ingeneering and everything that has to be with each segment of the automotive world, learned to love the porsche quality and evertyhing and hands down this is THE BEST Suv or one of top 3 best suv ever made. Is just amazing how everything is put together in this jeep.

I own an original XC90 and I love it, I had a new XC90 for a hire car for a few days recently and I love that even more! I want one so bad, it's probably the best 7 str SUV on the market, maybe second to the Model X I can't decide!

This video was AMAZING
The R-Design looks better on the outside and still looks really good on the inside. The touch screen is great, and I can see in there being no buttons at all in cars in the future.
As one who is not a fan of SUV's or the way most Volvos look, this is one fine looking automobile. The bumper-less front end and bisected headlights look sexy and it looks good from just about any angle. Glad to hear the Chinese parent company is letting Volvo do it's thing, they make a good product and it seems they are finally veering way from making stodgy looking cars.

There are a ton more XC90:s than Range Rovers here in Sweden. Volvo is just getting better and better. Their design keeps improving as well:) Their sales have been skyrocketing for the last few years. I believe Volvo is already a lot better than many of the "status" brands out there on many different things but the brand nerds will never admit it.
Great review bud! I know this seems stupid and it's completely unnecessary, but I think it'd be cool if it had shift paddles. Idk if it'd be a pain to configure them with the hybrid drive system, but the fact that they aren't there always puzzled me. I honestly just thought it would come with them lol. Still, I would definitely grab myself a T8 Inscription though. Hopefully they hold up well over the next few years, only time will tell, I suppose
