I'm so grateful you reviewed this watch. I almost bought this same watch because I liked the negative display but the few negatives you mentioned about this watch were a deal breaker for me, especially the way it seems clunky to operate.
Glad you got the smell out. I recently got the GBD200 and agree with your review. As a watch... Both are fantastic. Best negative display I've seen anywhere. Everything else is just okay. The step counter works well, I don't have tide or moon phases but still love it. The MIP display apparently can't flash numbers quickly and that's why it can't do split seconds or hold and fast forward numbers... Allegedly. 🤷🏽 Always a nice review. Great job. 👍🏼
Use the app to set the latitude and longitude. Even if you do have to set the location manually with multiple button presses, it only ever needs to be done once!
Man that's exactly how i'm using this watch as you explained. Just as a simple watch. Negative display worth it. And believe me, when i wore this Garmin, G-Shock guys cannot take eyes off it. And a tip: Put it in airplane mode to extend its battery life.
Superb review. Like the delight about the display and the surprise about the comfort; and the humour, too - also, good perspective on the minor problems of functions that don''t even exist on many watches... Well done! And thanks for the vid.
1:03 It obviously is a great watch for petting dogs. That’s a very important thing to know and I wish more reviewers would include this in their videos 👌🏼
I set the port from the app and it works perfectly. May be you should try again. My local port is not well known one and I was surprised I could set it up in the app.
About the manual setting of latitude and longitude: i don't have this watch but if you set the location to one of the preset options that is closer to you will it then use that lat/long as a starting point for entering the custom location? That way you have fewer presses.
The sun rise/down feature doesn't work? Wow, that's shocking since I'm thinking to get this one for me. Quick question: Is there any reason you chose this particular model instead of the full black GBX100? Thanks
That end of the strap sticking out when you wear the watch makes me cringe hard. That's really not a proper way to wear a watch, because sooner or later it will catch onto something and possibly damage the strap. Either you cut the wild end off to make it shorter, or just pull the keeper out a bit more to make the end sticks to the wrist. Anyway, not a bad watch, but it's not for me. It's a bit too complicated and reminds me of smart watches... which I hate with passion.
keeper does not go any further, I was actually considering to cut the strap.. But I guess the idea is that you could wear this watch over a winter gloves, which makes sense with this type of a watch.
You can buy an extra 20mm teal or black coloured silicon keeper band to tuck the end of the band in from Amazon or e-Bay. The bands are flexible enough to slip over the clasp. It works and the colour match is pretty good.

They could have done it so holding the button advanced the numbers by ten at the same speed as it does by ones.

It works for me perfectly by using app even my local port is not a well-known, just a local

The watch operations are easier to operate via the app. I am pleased with it too. You can set the alarm from there too
I’ve got this watch a month ago. I love it
You are honest, so I follow you.

Got this instead of the GBD-100. Thanks for the review.
Great review
Thanx for such review. I’ll buy this watch when they add Solar on it.
For me I prefer the GBD-200 series. It looks more like the square G-shock and has better color ways.
thank you
Is there auto light feature EL ?

Hello, I am writing to you from Turkey. Can you tell me the negative aspects of this model, thank you in advance, Tomas.
Can you put a regular DW-5600 strap on this watch?
no
Waiting for gshock to do a simple mip and solar and remove all the smart stuff.. Imagine gbd 350 with mip!

I bought what I found used
The full black is 50% more expensive where i buy watches.
Why does it say C SHOCK
Hello Thomas, a quick question: what platform do you suggest to sell watches? Thank you
hi, can't tell, depends on your location. Use local classifieds website.. Local facebook watch group.
Hello, what do you think of the step count, is it accurate?
sorry, never counted :D It seems reasonable though.
Because the bezel is so scratched, it now looks like a Chinese knockoff
- - > "C - Shock"
Hi what watch was on the screen at 2:13
Amazfit neo
I can’t believe it does not show split seconds in the stopwatch, what a shame!
if its not dress smart casual watch, plastic sport or casual watches are the best
Please make a review of the budget version of this, which is the mwd-110h-8bvef for a fraction of the price! :)
Блин черные хочу, интересно, тоже ли они прикольно смотрятся в живую?
