wow after years of living in this area the moment you hit that park i was like. hey I know this area. that's in Vancouver wahshington. off of 4th plain. that's awesome man, my cousin and I use to always come in the shop just to sit on those bikes. the yamaha r1 and r6. just couldn't wait to grow up and own one. one day we said ima get me one of these. years later I finally got to own one... only for 2 months here in cali. because I was involved in a crash. 2 months I only owned the Yamaha r1 2012. tcs different mode's. and thanks for new riders. never follow behind them on a tight road. video of crash is in my videos. no broken bones what's so ever. ride and be safe yall.
What's the saying?? Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery... Love my Grom!! They are fun little bikes for sure. It's cool you guys got them in out there.
+Shawn Smoak... The Grom's first yr was 2014. Since then the only updates have been colors. I think they are making some minor improvements for 17, but nothing to earth shattering. It would be awesome if they stuck a bigger motor in.
now if only it was the same power as a 125 dirt bike... I still wonder how similar those engines are to their dirt bike line and if you could use those parts as upgrades.. put the 5 speed trans guts in and other internals to probably double the power.
Might have to snag one of these and mod it out to make a nice buddy for the Grom. They did good, but I feel Yamaha or Suzuki will follow soon, and then things will get interesting. Great little video man!
Just an FYI: Honda already has a new Grom designed slated as a 2017 model year. I'm not sure when it will hit North America, but it could be as early as Q4 2016. I do like the Z125 in looks. Thanks for posting this video.

You were just about to tell us the trick on the road sensors and you sidetracked. Lol I can't get these sensors here in Texas to detect my Shadow 1100. It's very frustrating.
Another trick is magnets on the underside of the bike,i have a few for makeshift tank bag,making stuff fit/not fall off....most sensors react to the magnetism .
hi Shawn,great video,and very cool little mini bike I think its cool Kawasaki puts out a mini moped motorcycle for the gas mizers,and local commuters,very cool,i plan on getting one any relation to the first mini bike Kawasaki put out back in the 70s or 80's they made a 50 or ? was like a mini bike,i plan to ride mine on back country roads and commute around our suburban areas,ha, I think once people see them they will want one also,ha later Shawn.

I've just found your channel because I've just bought a sena 20s. I watched one of your videos from about a year ago, did you ever find source of static pulsing? I've not got audio pack, I've hardwired mine to gopro. After around 12 seconds it clears and sound is ok again. its like gopro or sena is searching for signal. any ideas would be gratefully received.

Z125pro actually came with Red'ish orange in my country but not the smoke silver, and the ASEAN version of z125 headlight is not so good compared to west/eu version, wonder why Kawasaki came up with that diffirent parts and style
Taijean Moodie the headlight is quite different, but the side profile does look like mt09, with that seat and tank, i find it very difficult to visualize as similar looking to z800 though
this is what i don't get. get a bike that has a moped's engine size and put in a manual transmission and they get to call it cool and fun. but it's just still technically a moped with a manual tranny. any bike is cool. any bike is fun. and i own a grom btw. =p
Lol the whole reason they named it the grom was kinda lame. I think the owners are the ones who really made it public that it's cool and fun. I've got one too and it's just hilarious. My mini dual sport with maxxas tires.

300-class bikes don't have USD forks because they don't want to bite into 600-class sales. But at 125cc it's a separate segment.
giff74 Yamaha mt-125 and yzf r125, among many other 125 bikes have upside down forks.

Looks like a great bike for short riders... except for the 32" seat height. Can these things be lowered (safely, that is) for us short folk?

How fast can the Kawasaki Z125 Pro go verses the Honda Grom? Trying to find the top MPH for both online is proving difficult.

Can you wheelie it for miles without starving it for oil? The Grom is notorious for blowing up from long wheelies. My buddy is on engine #4 on his.
And does the clutch feel like peanut butter like the grom?

more like a baby z800 the fz09/mt09 has a rectangle rear brake like and the headlight is a bike narrow.
