Interesting. I was thinking for a long time which one of these I would buy, but I went for Honda because of two reasons: Grom (2017 model from Thailand) was $300 cheaper and the seat is low enough for me to put both of my feet flat on the ground, whereas with Kawazaki I could only touch the ground with my touch. (I'm a shortass, so that was one important factor when choosing a bike for sitting in traffic jam for most of my commute.) P.s. There is no noticeable difference between the seats over here; if anything it is the Kawasaki that has more dipped seat.
Better and safer to have one foot on the back break, when you stop. Then you want slide backwards, if you stop on a step hill. And can prevent you from getting more hurt if another vehicle hit you from behind.

ok ok, so I'm looking to get start riding in the spring. I live in Halifax (Canada) now, so I'm waiting for the spring. Halifax does have a lot of potholes. would one of these bikes be good for starters?
The z125 has better acceleration and better low end torque based off this video when you's both stop then accelerate the z125 seems bit quicker off the bat but the grom seems to kick in at the mid range it catches the z125. Top speed of z125 I think is faster too unless you are much heavier than your friend

Just got the 2020 Honda Grom and had the choice between the Monkey, Z125, and Grom. Seating position wise, it's Monkey, Grom, then Z125. The seats on the Z125 is thin and was uncomfortable for me. However, the Monkey was only a 1-seater, and since I have a wife I ultimately chose the Grom.

I was told by a lot of grom guys that you shouldn’t ever buy a brand new one cause it’s not worth the fees when you can buy a clean like new one for less money and basically get the same bike.
I am a Honda guy until I die but the Z has an oil pump and better shocks no mention of an oil pump or the shocks being reworked for 2021 grom if that's the case then by a Z.
For $1000 less the Z is the no brainer. Plus it handles better. Interesting that the Grom has higher quoted power and torque, yet the Z feels faster. Grom has better ergos for normal sized people and better brakes, otherwise Kawi wins. I need to see how cheap I can get one.

Can you do a review of the Benelli TNT 135
There’s an ace Cafe in England too, I went to when I was little and really want to go back
Yea ... It was founded there sooo
I didn’t know sorry m8 for offending the ace cafe
No reason to apologise 🤷🏼♂️ just something i thought you should know
Yup, Ace Cafe original location founded in England! We have the one other one in the world here in Orlando, pretty cool!
BLOCKHEAD ah sweet man
You should compare a benelli tnt 135. I own the tnt 125 and they are awesome bikes 👌
Don't know anyone that owns one locally, but I'll keep my eyes peeled!
BLOCKHEAD check my bike out they have just become popular in the USA and I’m sure it could help your channel as I don’t think any big motovlogger like your self in the USA has had heir hands on it yet.
I seen you around Orlando! Love the video, looking into a Grom.
There is an abundant amount of upgrades for the z125 , taillights , fender deletes , exhaust systems, intakes, Tuners , engine bore kits
Not sure where your looking for parts , grom has more forsure , but there’s tons for the z125 as well
Do you have a website by chance
im 55 seconds in, and let me say god damn the quality of this video is sooo amazing i had to give credit, im watching on msi gaming lap top nothing special, and it feels like im there myself, sheesh what was this shot in god eyes 10k or something haha.
had a pocket rocket when i was younger im lookin at a 2017 honda
Everyone is like the grom the z, and I’m just like nice dixxon bro. Lol great video, hoping to get a couple of these soon to rip with my son
Grom is the OG. Will forever be my pick
Would you recommend either of these for my first starter bike or should I go to something like a Ninja 250?
I prefer my Grom but I'd prefer the seat of OG Grom though.
Kawasaki is faster and better quality all the way around specially all the new kawasaki bikes are burning the bike market. Is just we have stupid fanatics that are used to the " other brands" but kawasaki bikes are wayyyyy under rated.
ok ok, so I'm looking to get start riding in the spring. I live in Halifax (Canada) now, so I'm waiting for the spring. Halifax does have a lot of potholes. would one of these bikes be good for starters?
I think I have to say that anybody whose ridden alot knows what gear their in if they know their bike
Kawasaki knows how to make a bike. Great comparison video
Brock performance makes an exhaust for the z125 if you’re buddy is still looking
And they are made and shipped in America
Excellent comparison blockhead ✌✌✌💪💪💪💪
Thanks!
This vid is good but 3yrs old. Parts availability has greatly improved for Z125.
Beautiful scenery! What time of the year was this recorded? Where is this? I want to go there... Orlando?
I get my 22 tomorrow cannot wait
Love the video bro that’s a awesome detailed I was not sure which one to buy but you made it clear for me I hate Honda so z125 is for me
hey look two commercials... ya'll must be killing it
I don’t think you mentioned the highest speed
anybody else see the green sign change at 9:30
The z125 has better acceleration and better low end torque based off this video when you's both stop then accelerate the z125 seems bit quicker off the bat but the grom seems to kick in at the mid range it catches the z125. Top speed of z125 I think is faster too unless you are much heavier than your friend
where is the mirrors on the z125?
@@GrowingDownUnder he took them off
@@GrowingDownUnder- on the handle bars as most bikes.
what year was your cbr1000rr. i wish i had bought grom in my 20s so i could have learned to wheelie and enjoy L bikes later on.
I was wondering which one of the 2 is shorter or taller handle bar to handle bar??
I’m thinking about buying a z125 as a first bike.
yep after watching this im going to get the z125 amazing video!
Buying a Suzuki GZ 250 neat little thing
How is the seat comfort on the Z125 ? I heard it was very bad....
I bought the slim seat or low profile seat from steady garage. Its comfy as any other seat and now i sit more upright and i added 1/2 inch bar risers now it feels like a dirtbike
2023 Grom or Z ???
Looking to buy one this year
Good job bro
Just got the 2020 Honda Grom and had the choice between the Monkey, Z125, and Grom. Seating position wise, it's Monkey, Grom, then Z125. The seats on the Z125 is thin and was uncomfortable for me. However, the Monkey was only a 1-seater, and since I have a wife I ultimately chose the Grom.
This seems like an odd question and a weird qualifier, but which one can reach/surpass 55mph without redlining the engine??
I just bought a used Z125 today and it hit 56mph
@@JordNEdwardz how do you like it
I am 35 years old 5'7 and looking for a fun and not too expensive motorcycle to ride in nice roads to have fun and calm my anxiety. There are so manny small options like the grom. Not sure which bike to go for. I was thinking the KTM 390 duke too. I had a HD sportsters but I totaled it 🤦♂️
Dang, 4 years later and the Grom is 1k more out the door
I love my z125. I'm 6 foot tall and 260 lbs.
josh youngs how's the top speed for ya? We're almost the exact same measurements lol
Is it comfortable for you?
I am getting the z
Super excited
I was told by a lot of grom guys that you shouldn’t ever buy a brand new one cause it’s not worth the fees when you can buy a clean like new one for less money and basically get the same bike.
Dude everyone selling them used is sus, a lot of “ my name isn’t on title but…
I am a Honda guy until I die but the Z has an oil pump and better shocks no mention of an oil pump or the shocks being reworked for 2021 grom if that's the case then by a Z.
Lol! Degreaser and a quart of oil. That bike was spewing oil the whole ride.
They say the Kawasaki is faster than the grom? Either way there both look like fun
For $1000 less the Z is the no brainer. Plus it handles better. Interesting that the Grom has higher quoted power and torque, yet the Z feels faster. Grom has better ergos for normal sized people and better brakes, otherwise Kawi wins. I need to see how cheap I can get one.
Awesome vs video 😎 plus Orlando hype woo go Grinadeers ( missed spelled sorry)
Hey Blockhead, what kinda of bad end adapters are you using?
All I wanna know is how much is insurance (liability) for one of these?
Liability 2020 grom, 100 usd for the year in Texas
M666 how bad on insurance
do you think it’ll be for a first vehicle
How i feel about this is....if your gonna Mod it go with the Z125 cause with the mods the Z opens up better.
I moved to Orlando a year ago and no matter what you can always tell when someone is on John Young Pwy. Lmao
Awesome vid i literally live right next to the church you road by. Ha-larious! Now I'm thinking about getting a Z125. Lol
p.s. John Young is an awesome riding road.
Can these be driven on a Interstate?
Do they have cruise?
