    Good morning everyone! Thanks for tuning in :) Been working the past few weeks on this documentary and hoping to get it out sometime next weekend. I'll try and post updates on my twitter @Nick930Gaming for those interested.
    Also, if you're not doing anything tonight, or have a free monitor - I'll be livestreaming some good ole "Battlefield 4" tonight. Haven't played it in years now, so looking forward to playing it again. Should be on tonight at around 9:30pm @twitch.tv/nick930
    Otherwise, have a good weekend, and stay tuned next week for the documentary and a review for Hitman 3 :)

      @Marcus Angstadt Agreed! I started playing AC again because of Origins. Valhalla by far the best of the 3. At this rate we could get the Assassins Creed game we always wanted since Ezio's trilogy

      @Penetrator The fantasy lore is in Valhalla, as a player you have to work for them :) It's a viking saga, so unfortunately some may not have patience for the great tales and huge worlds in Valhalla, but they're very much there.

      On the contrary... its all about expectations and hype... Back then noone had ridiculous expectations from CDPR. Sure Witcher 3 was hyped, but CDPR had nowhere near the status it now has... or had. No one expected amazing AI from the Witcher 3 so no1 complained about the shitty AI the game actually has. After W3 CDPR became a giant, and with that the expectations increased 10fold. So now Cyberpunk is largely scrutinized. And while I agree with many of the criticisms (for example the shitty console release, the visual glitches and bugs) I also do not agree with the level of scrutiny in certain aspects, like - yes - the AI.... I dont even know why people expected good AI... have you even played the W3? Anyway. CDPR has a lot of work to do to get back to where they were, but gamers should also learn to manage their damn expectations sometimes. Some people act as if Cyberpunk was the second coming of Jesus... and all they needed to get there was Keanu calling them "breathtaking" on stage... I mean...there is being a normal nerd and then there is this...

    • @DukeHazord
      @DukeHazord 3 года назад +166

      @@elwingy For me personally it was never the expectation. CD Projekt Red made a name for themselves after Witcher 3 but they are not a big company. Their downfall has been their commitment on being honest with the consumers and keeping them on board etc They knew their product is nowhere near ready but they decided to release the game anyway. I think they have learned their lesson the hard way. Going forward, they should stop hyping the game and stop giving people release dates if they know they can't commit to it
      They got ahead of themselves... end of. Hats off to developers who are trying to clean up the mess that management forced upon themselves. This is not the only organization in the world where employees are taking the hit for what the management did

    What sets apart TW3 from everything else is not the graphics, or the physics, or the open world,, not even the story.
    What makes The Witcher 3 one of the kind is a superb writing and the best storytelling ever put into a game, ever. Very very few games came close to this one in that regard: Half Life 2 and RDR2, but TW3 is remains far superior. In addition TW3 has amazing characters, great worldbuilding, and beautiful lore. As modder Halk Hogan sees it, the game deserves a facelift, and they've given it just that in a new, unofficial add-on for the game, titled the "HD reworked project." Advertising the recently released Ultimate 12.0 version of the mod, Halk Hogan took to RUclips to post about exactly what the new visual enhancement for the modern-classic does to the game and why any eager Witcher fan should consider picking it up as soon as possible.
      The footage begins with Halk Hogan revealing just how much time and effort has been put into the HD Reworked Project, with the modder admitting that "5 years of development, 18 versions, [and] hundreds of hours of work" went into making the enhancement happen. They then show off some screenshots of the game, comparing their modded version to the original release. What's so impressive about Halk Hogan's work is that it never feels too invasive, preserving the look, feel, and aesthetic of CD Projekt Red's world with tons of crucial touch-ups.

The wind blowing in the forest with the various noises of creaking and cracking and the god rays that shine through the trees as the sun sets is just incredible for lack of better words. The Witcher is obviously technically an older game, but artistically is on a completely different level of Assassins creed.
    Aasassins creed is a 2 year old development sudo-blockbuster AAA game inspired on a TV show and other games sucess, the Witcher 3 is a matured result of 10 years of development process, with engine and story refinement, incredible music and character development...
    Plus above of all that is still one of the very best RPG's ever made, certainly the very best modern RPG ever made and even more certainly the most pretty realistically made open world in the history of videogames.
    Is it even a debate over this?
    I am not saying Valhalla is not a decent game, i am just saying... the Witcher 3 is as important for the industry like Crysis was one decade before...
    Its one of those games that leave a mark.
