Hello my name is Anirban. I am 13 years old (very close to 14). I am also learning how to music produce especially EDM . i am a pianist too. And your video is really very helpful.may god bless u to become a good producer and may 1 day i will also do a successful music career (and sry for my bad english)
I’ve just watched Matthew Encina’s home office makeover and I gotta say it’s impossible not to compare both videos. But anyway, congrats on your setup bro it turned out really great
Thank you for making this video. I found it helpful as I am reconfiguring my own home studio. (Unfortunately, it's still confined to my bedroom, which luckily for me is freakishly large for a house this small.) I am curious, however, about your larger space in general, and how it conforms (or doesn't conform) to the widely accepted guidelines for monitor placement/sweetspot and room treatment. For example, your Yamaha monitors are very close to the walls, which I've always been told to avoid. I also see hard, reflective surfaces everywhere in the scene and wonder how those impact your mixes. Sure looks great regardless.
this is amazing I really like that you have rally motivated me am also a student,, am doing music production keep it up man you will be a great producer

This reminds me of 1997. When I realized the Wife supporting the idea of me being a musician, became (Awe you aren't going to play NOW are you?) Just keeping it real here. Hahahah.
To end this, I wound up raising my kids alone. And no more hassle but drumming by 2007 was not happening. Not at apmt. So I took up keys. Eviction was not something I could risk. My son played guitar and still plays 15 years or so. I picked guitar up in 2018 and just last week bought my first interface hahahah....Headphones. Wow?😃😃😃😃🎸🎸
are u using any bass traps or other kind of sound baffling system? It just looks like there's a ton of reflective surfaces that will confound a proper mix. even with the best entry level monitors ( at least $1k each) you need to have a decent amount of proofing.
I do need acoustic sound treatment. My setup is unfortunately in my living room so I can't spice up the space the way I would like... But you are right! Acoustic treatment is sooooo IMPORTANT!
@@EdwardSmithMusic I feel u..I am in the same situation. 1st off, too many instruments in my room (13 basses and 2 Chapman Sticks), a desk which is not ideal for proper monitor placement, no baffling at all, no real reference monitors or headphones...BUT..I am investing this year. Good look with your progress!
Having a hell of time cable managing in the recent rebuild of my home office/studio. In my setup, everything is floating though so my options are very limited and not many devices have long enough cable to do much more run a straight path :/
Gorgeous studio and well filmed... wish I had space and budget for such a studio. That map and chair are beautiful indeed... Can you remind what the red device is for? Is it needed for AT2020 as well or rode only? And what kind of softlight set are you using? I bought a while ago a continuous light set on ebay with upbrellas (1 bulb in each), yet the color cast is hard to color correct and not strong light power.
Sorry If I sound stupid for asking. I'm still in the beginning stages of learning about the music making world and I was just wondering what the name of the music DAW he was using? If that's the correct term for the software?
@@EdwardSmithMusic Clever! I didnt even notice haha! So it works while having your laptop closed? Ive been struggling with this for a while because I want to buy a second monitor to use as my main screen and what you have done in your setup is exactly what I need!
Nice setup. Thx. I am thinking about buying presonus e8 xt or e66. I guess I need an audio interface like focusrite scarlett 2i2 3rd gen to connect those studio monitors to the pc ? I also have a rode nt usb but I guess it will stay directly connected to the pc and not the audio interface? And as a headset I took the superlux hd 681. Thx for help or advice.
Doesn’t matter in this case, no acoustic treatment, monitors totally set up wrong, etc... doesn’t even benefit of owning studio speakers 😅 No matter how good it may look, it’s an awful „studio“ from a practical view. But if you just write and do preproduction it’s cool to have a nice vibe. But for mixing or even mastering totally different level.
The big knob I use is just for connecting 2 sets of studio monitors. So if you want your main monitors and some reference monitors connected at the same time, it makes it easy to jump between the two (especially when mixing music). This big knob is just a monitor controller, not the interface 👌🏼

Hi, I have been producing music in laptop from quite a long time. Now I am planning to switch to LCD monitor. How can I connect my daw to the LCD monitor?
The distance you are from each speaker, should be the distance between each speaker. So if you are sitting 1m away from each speaker, the distance between each speaker should be 1m 👌
No my current studio doesn't have decent acoustic treatment. It is definitely necessary. The echo/ reverb you get in a acoustically untreated room is terrible.
If you write your lyrics and need a beat to go with it do you have to make the music yourself or is there something that can give you a beat or something?
the guitar hanger is not well setup. Eventually is going to fall my friend. I just noticed how it moved in the video while you were placing the guitar....

What’t the sizes the speakers must be far apart from each others?
The distance you are from each speaker, should be the distance between each speaker. So if you are sitting 1m away from each speaker, the distance between each speaker should be 1m 👌
