- While attending the final 2017 WRC event at Coff's Harbour in NSW, we have a chat to one of the engineers behind keeping this Hyundai Motorsport i20 on the track.
This is a close up look at some of the features of NZ champ Hayden Paddon's WRC car that you wouldn't usually get to see.

Hyundai is presently coming in 2nd place in the WRC manufacturer's championship.

Is Wrc engine based on the same Engine as road legal version of that car?
Yep, they share the same engine blocks.
Actually they do not have to be as the fia allows for a non road block.

The cars have to be road legal because they drive between stages.
@@maxwrist6461 they also have the night stages especially Rallye Monte Carlo and Rally Sweden.Also the headlights are useful when it is rainy or foggy

All rally cars are AWD since the 80s with the Audi S1 Quattro.

It's almost TOO technical and space age money bags crafted to be a rough and tough Rally Car... Money destroys every Motorsport, NASCAR, F1, and I er the years WRC,fans can't relate to a custom buolt frames with non stock based engines...
