As a solo player (and a lover of Remnant 1), I feel like I must go for Handler first. I adored Good Boy in the original, and he became a very vital part of my build and my playstyle, so I live for the fact you can play a class with a permanent doggo in this one. It's one of the reasons I loved Remnant as much as I did. I played a Hunter/Sniper in the original, so it's very likely that once I get multiclassing, I will be a Handler/Hunter hybrid!
I can say, coming back to this after beating and getting my platinum on PS5 after 120 hours, I ended up with a Handler/Medic build in the end! Hunter was alright, but Medic was an amazing blend with the Handler!
I’m gonna go with a combo of Challenger and Medic to be a wall of meat and anger.
The Paladin
Challenger + Hunter = tanky boy 🥷
I wasn't sure which to use until I saw this. Thanks for the idea.
The handler an medic 😮💨 I got the heals
SAME 😁
Challenger primary and Medic secondary. Juggernaut + Wellspring = Paladin. I've always been a holy warrior fan and this combination seems unstoppable in both solo play and multiplayer. And with a lot of versatility options to boot. though being able to use the heavier gear with less of a consequence is the biggest boon for me. being a tanky healer makes for a very reliable support player. there are other support options available as well that can focus more on the "support aspect" such as Handler + Medic using either guard or support dog + Healing shield or Redemption. No matter what you find the most value in you can always change them mid playthrough so you dont have to think too hard about it, and regret it if you dont find any value in what you picked.
They made the classes so appealing that I have no idea which to use. I could see myself using any of them.
FYI : There are 2 more to unlock once you get the game :)
@@LordDivine1wait what?!?!
@@vadim6656correction, there is 5 more then what’s shown in the video
replay value is thru the fucking roof
Gunslinger/challenger for mad gunzerking with rampage and bullet storm will be the 1st thing i go for
you loose bullet storm if you go hybrid
@@madd_hatter1018rip that build soundin crazy. I'm sure it's a viable build without it and the right gear
@@sladestryder5264 so bullet storm is the gunslingers ulti they said if you go hybrid you lose your class ulti to add different archetypes abilitys
from my understanding the primary archetype keeps all benefits and the secondary losses only the prime perk while keeping access to all the other perks. though i believe you can only use 1 type of perk across both archetypes. of the four secondary perks for the archetypes, you can only use one damage type perk, one utility, one etc. between the two archetypes. so pick the one more appealing to your playstyle for each.
Can't wait to try this, first game was one of my favorite coop experiences in recent memory.
Medic/challenger for me. Practically a paladin build imo. I feel like most are gonna run hunter or gunslinger with something else. Dps/utility
Defintely starting Handler, most likely branching into Medic. All the heals and support.
Thanks for the video, you made my choice easy. Dog class it is. I usually like the utility/support role, and the dog summon was my favorite ability in the first game. I gotta, he's a very good boy.
I have been watching theRadbrad play and wanted to see all the classes so this video helped me a lot. I am leaning on the Challenger for my first toon. I will have to watch vid's on the Gunslinger to see how powerful they are.
Thank you for your video :)
I’m really interested in going Hunter with Handler, i get to sit back and pop crits while my best boi aggro the enemies
Handler seems like the best subclass to pick. Doggos for everyone!
Gunslinger medic
That was my plan! Not sure if I want my main to be medic or challenger though 😊
Challenger Handler for me
There’s also a summoner class you can unlock, which gives you other critters in addition to the dog👌
@@eddyram4932 I didn't know about that, thanks for the info.
This did change my mind from challenger to gunslinger with taimer sub. After all I can use anything I want I am not limited to class weapons.
I mostly play solo so probably the Handler. Second class, I guess I’ll see what kind of play develops as I get further into the game.
Yeah my thoughts too, I honestly just like having companions cuz it makes solo feel less lonely 😂
Just wanna say to Paradise; your speech has improved a lot in these videos! Very energetic and engaging. Keep up the good work!
Thank you 😊
Im going Handler/Medic as that really seems like the best play outright for any utility builds, money efficient due to not constantly buying bloodwort and a decent damage increase basically all the time and a best boi to maul my enemies to death while being helpful elsewhere too, I'm all for it.
After that, thinking that my second run will be Hunter/Challenger
I like that 😃👍
That was my thought will watching the video and gonna do the same 😜
i went medic first even tho I was solo. healing shield is pretty handy . top shelf skill
Honestly medic and hunter seems nice for the co-play and invis is usually good in pve, but medic and handler seems like something ide do just to maximize my support and reliability plus doggie
Great upload 👍Love the fact that if ur not happy with the class u picked you will be able to change ur class once uv made moderate progress 👏 Skilled players that are 💩 hot on thier aim will no dought go for the hunter! ill probability go for gun Slinger 🔫
I want use the hunter class and the I got the ultimate game. So I hope we get the Gunslinger class charm to use in it for the second option.
Then Handler and Medic.
Medic first. I like to support my team and keep them up as I like to party up. As soon as I can, my second choice will be Gunslinger. Deal more damage with my LMG and have the ability to reload faster and have deeper ammo reserves.
Just like me
I'm doingmedic right now but I think I'm gonna do the summoner or engineer with it since I Luke to stand my ground while still being a beefy dealer and healing myself is always nice
Thinking a mix of gunslinger/hunter and gunsliger/challenger.
I am choosing Gunslinger first cause looks cool and my second will be Hunter to help increase my range and accuracy and point out my targets
Started as medic and i switched to the handler. Im glad i switched
Well Hunter looking, great, cuz i always choose the rogue class in any game, but gunslinger seems nice with faster reloads. Also i might consider medic for party support. Well designed classes.
Stereotypes:
Hunter=Rogue/Assassin
Challanger=Tank Warrior
Handler=Hunter/Ranger
Gunslinger=Dps Warrior/Brawller Rogue
Medic=Healer Priest/Cleric/Paladin
Hunter Primary, Challenger secondary. Shroud + Juggernaut = Rogue. Shroud giving various boons when leaving stealth such as 50% bonus melee damage and Juggernaut Melee speed, damage, and damage resist + various perks from that improve melee damage will make this a very sneaky and very deadly assassin.
I'm new to the series. I thought watching a quick class guide would actually help me decide which class. I can positively say that I am now more confused on which to pick 😂😂
I did challanger/medic to be a tank for my group. Pretty much impossible to kill unless i get careless fighting a world boss.
Looked this up because I couldn't choose between 2 classes
But apparently I can mix them together
So..now I'm just watching this for fun
Going handler & medic Interrupting enemy attacks and healing allies
Hopefully this build starts feeling like a better Fl4k
Going to go Medic/Handler combo, basically the ultimate support.
Pros:
- 55 % damage to all skill abilities and ranged attacks
- Can heal himself/others which is good for new players
- Revive faster and take less damage while doing it
- Can heal/shield and others with an ability and heal 50 % better in all forms of healing
- Relic will fully restore health and give 35 % damage resistance and 25 % more damage to the dog which can be combined with below
- Medic Prime Perk allows you to resupply yourself with relics if you heal up to 250 health on alies allowing you regain them forever as long as you heal
- Get two new weapons, a LMG and a new pistol never seen before
- Free dog that never betrays you and distracts enemies as well as kill them
- Run faster thanks to the dog and boost your team mates if they are near you too to get faster to the objective
- More damage while being near the dog and critical damage
- Can use one of the selected medic ability to give dog 100 % more health for 10 seconds in form of a shield as well as heal 30 % of it's health
- Money efficient, does not need to buy bloodwort because I can heal myself
Cons:
- average melee damage
- Not a tank unless reviving
- No ammo efficency trait
- Have to be near 25 meters of the dog or you will lose 30 % damage and 5 % critical chance, forcing you to use advanced tactics to stay near it
- Have to rely somewhat on team work or else the class falls flat
- Might have to purchase Ammo Bag
- Cannot revive myself
- Cannot carry the best armor set with ez like the Challenger
The point of this build anyways is not damage. Not being a tank. You are the support, your team needs you. If the team does not need you, your dog will. So you will never feel like your a useless support since you can always heal your dog and you will always distract enemies and boost the movement speed of your team mates.
That combo wouldn't even be lacking for damage, given medic's flat 25% damage boost
@@poliorice3600 You're right. I forgot that it was pure flat damage to any sort of damage.
This quite huge actually, because it will allow a Medic + Handler to get a staggering 55 % damage increase to all skills as well as ranged attacks.
Since Medic has 25 % flat damage to any source of damage, medic can be used on almost any build. Astonishing.
Thanks for noticing that important detail. I edited the comment slightly to point out that mistake and show you can have a strong 55 % extra damage to skills.
That's a really nice analysis. Helped me decide so thaaanx :-)
I love being a medic/healer in co op games like this
Challenger and Handler might be my combo.
I've always been a sniper at heart. I'm too twitchy for fast-paced gunplay like in most multiplayer shooters, but picking off targets at range, with a mag-dumping SMG for close-range protection is how I end up in basically every game from CoD and Fallout to Borderlands and Battlefield. Heck, even in Neverwinter and Kingdom of Amalur I play an archer with dual daggers/chakrams for close encounters. I likes me snipes!
All that said, Hunter/Handler or Hunter/Medic is likely what I'd go for once I'm far enough in to multiclass.
I think I’m going challenger 😎 thanks for the info!
Literally impossible not to pick the doge class
I'm going handler/medic and be a gunslinging druid lol
Handler and challenger
Handler Medic sounds like a chad
@@robando2922same lol.
Bet....leaves doggo behind
Never played the first one Heard a lot of good things about it. I saw that the sequel came out, picked it up last night and I’m having a blast.
Challenger, and then probably gunslinger. I played very similar to what those classes offer in the first game.
I hope melee is improved in this one. Hardly used it in the first.
*tips cowboy hat* thank you. I now know that to be the ultimate cowboy I should probs combo gunslinger with hunter or something with gunslinger.
I'm Todd. I'm right now playing remnant 2. I'm new to the game
The class I chose was medic
I'm decent as someone who can be supporter . So when I play online, I can help others. Also, i'd like the gun I get .
I was thinking of Playing Hunter/Handler Combo or Hunter/Gunslinger Combo, will know when i start playing and reach the point where i can choose the second Class :D
gunslinger/handler or gunslinger/sniper will be my go to :o
The Hunter, no doubt. Exactly like in the first game.
Im all about the long range crit hitting methodical gameplay
Sniper in every game ✋🏻
Preach my brother
Im pretty sure the gunsliger do better at dps than the sniper... so I dont really see the point of playing snipe 🤔
@@siteks536 because is fun
@@siteks536 Are you dense? Gunslinger is the DPS class, But some people prefer other type of DPS (damage per shot) and that's where sniper Hunter shines. If we all liked the same thing there would be no need for other classes. Some prefer long range methodical combat, not every likes to spray and pray. Some people can actually aim, so they like it.
@@albert. he made such a dumb comment LMAO
Theres 3 more class later currently known, the summoner, explorer and alchemist, hope we got another maybe more melee focused or magic kind of thing again?
@@sladestryder5264 IGN review shows the summoner class and also explorer, gamespot shows the alchemist if im not wrong, i forgot which channel show the alchemist lol
Theres also an Engineer. it can be found on N'erud in a break between two peaks. You have to trek thru the fog that makes you vommit, hop over a ledge, pick up the engineer armor set, then drop down a hill to get the engram.
Definitely going Handler first and then probably Challenger
Im interested in the medic. I always play support if possible so that one's for me
Ok I actually though this game was only for shooting and payed no attention to Melee but I guess it gives me a better idea on what I can expect form it.
Honestly I’m kinda thinking about medic but only if I can get my friend/friends otherwise I might pick Handler, challenger or gunslinger
Challenger!
And medic or Gunsliger when with friends depending on what they do!
Personally I lov ehealing and thus I'm gonna be a Medic and the Handler. My plan is to heal my dog or other minions I summon, allowing them to tank anything.
Summoner/Handler is an unironic war crime factory and I am loving every second of it.
Im gonna most likely do gunslinger and handler
Once I get the game I'm definitely picking gunslinger
Gunslinger or Handler… and then Hunter or the other classes I hopefully find as I progress in the game… not interested much in the tank and healer classes…
Hunter/Challenger maybe? I wanna do lots of dmg long and close range
Probably gonna go Hunter with Gunslinger as the Secondary archetype
Handler/gunslinger, ultimate dmg + a personal tank :D
I wonder if the dogs appearence changes with subclass.
like Handler + Challenger = Dog knight. 😯
Gunslinger/Challenger most likely.
I don't want the Challenger's prime perk because I'm not planning on dying and it does absolutely nothing otherwise.
I’m def going healer because this is my first remnant game tbh. So wish me luck lol
The combination are unreal
D.O.T build with Handler/Medic
Full support: Medic/Gunslinger
DPS: Hunter/Gunslinger
Tank: Challenger/Hunter/Handler/Medic
Haven't even played the game and I already have at least 4 characters I want to build XD
Does medic work at all as a mostly solo player? does the 250 healing = one charge back work on yourself?
In terms of efficiency you should go with Gunslinger, its the only "starting" class that you can't unlock without first completeing some conditions. All the other classes just require talking with the right people.
Handler for sure, I need my good boy
I’m in a bind of starting as handler or gunslinger lol
Medic/Handler
Im the healer with their own tank. Just need 2 dps
I pre-ordered so probably gunslinger or challenger.
Challenger is my starting class. I want to dualclass it with the handler. I want my dog amping damage while shoot things with a shotgun amd a big ass sword
I’m thinking same thing but the support dog for sustainability
Just make sure handler is your left hand archetype because only that one keeps the prime perk
@@robando2922 i know. I want the challenger's prime trait
Gunslinger Hunter, all in on a rain of crits
Do you have to stick with a revolver when choosing gunslinger because of the abilities?
So with this new two classes at once thing, can I do a gunslinger, and then a close combat melee build together
handler or mele tank if u can multiclass... heard there was a summoner of some kind... very interested
I’m currently a handler and loving my doggo I’m thinking of going for the medic option to fully round out my support build; then I can get a team and start cleaning up, currently fighting some turd looking thing and it keeps kicking my ass🤣
I'm definitely going Gunslinger but idk what other subclass to mix it with beside Hunter because I feel as though everyone will be using that.
Gunslinger/challenger wouldn't be bad to be able to tank hits while dealing damage. Or gunslinger/medic to basically heal yourself instead of tanking. Or obviously like you said you can go gunslinger/hunter if you want ultimate damage output. Depends on your preference and or how like to play. Do you play up close go with gunslinger/challenger. You want to play more mid range I suggest gunslinger/medic. If you like to play further back then go gunslinger/hunter to play with the sniper a little if you like.
Those are what instantly hit me as my gameplay styles. Figured I'd put that out there in case it might help you decide. I'm not sure which one of the three I'm going to chose. I could be happy with any of those three I mentioned..
@@CRIMSON-FLAME1See I thought about doing Gunslinger/Hunter for my damage built. But I also want to do Gunslinger/Handler or Gunslinger/Medic cause I'm also a team player
@Eli9mm7 depends on how much you play solo vs how you play with friends. With me I play with and without friends that I actually know and our schedules are incredibly different. We aren't kids anymore lol.
There’s also an alchemist class you can find in game and play!
I'm thinking Gunslinger/medic for solo play and challenger/undecided for co op. I'm so excited!
anyone knows if this works on the steam deck?? want to pre order but idk whether to get this for it or just buy it on my ps5... taking this on the go would be pretty cool.
Bought this game!
Going for Challenger
A challenger/handler or challenger/medic for paladin very tough
Doggo Class with later a touch of Gunslinger for that John Wick backup.
that's the tracker in john wick 4, he uses a lever action, revolver and dog. that literally handler gunslinger. pretty cool actually.
@@KingXhuntR Now that I think about it. Yeah, you're right, he is.
hi, is possible to play online with random player or is only support online mode with a friend ?
Having trouble deciding between hunter, gunslinger, and handler
Companion/medic the ultimate support
I think I would go the challenger he looks the coolest and seems the funnest
After playing 2 soulslike games, I will go with challenger as I enjoy the coordination of close combat
I think I'll go with Challenger/Medic. Being a tank that can also heal himself sounds pretty neat and immortal to me.
Paladin!
Gunslinger for me!
I just found out 2 days ago this game is not available on ps4... I was looking forward to buying it when it was first announced but damn now I gotta wait.
Medic and handler look like the way for me
Hunter and second Gunslinger for maximum gunning my friend is gonna play Challenger and second medic so he immortal and Im the destroyer
Dogo, they had me at you can pet the dog.
Im new to this game so I will choose Handler and Medic 🤪
Challenger/Handler want to be tank but also to pet good boi
I still can't beat the first area in the first game let alone plan to put myself through another remnant
Challenger. If my armour is not getting a fresh coat of the enemy's blood and gore then I am doing it wrong! Then cross class with... hmmm... Medic? Gunslinger?
Will end up playing medic since harely anyone likes to heal yet when you keep your team alive guess who they need to thank..
Thats what im thinking, Medic + Challenger maybe. So i can have that defense as well.
@@OGBLACK Paladin-like. I did see there is a Summoner type that is hidden and is basically a Necromancer.
Just started this game on gamepass and I love it!
I don’t know why the Gunslinger don’t show up 😢
Any idea why?
Im thinking about doing either Challenger + Medic or Challenger + Handler.. Also if you use handler as a second do you still get the dog??
yes
can someone help me understand this, can a class use any weapon? Like gunslinger using LMG?
It gotta be the dogo class or the tank/melee but I'm pretty sure it dogo for the win once I down load it from game pass
