Love the differences between Ornn and Volibear on a design/lore perspective.
Ornn grows their followers little by little to get to gargantuan sizes using weapons, but volibear just care about Stats being good by themselves. Just like in lore Ornn had followers that he cared for and Volibear just believes in “Mighty makes Right”
Wish there was a reason to play the two champs together. Like some sort of card that creates volis rune armour from before his rework if ornn and voli are in the same deck.

@@speedweednfeed6721 See, I'd personally love the opposite - if it's a Voli deck versus an Ornn deck, replace some other card's effect with an effect that summons both champions, levels them up to a unique level 3, and makes their Nexuses immortal BUT if Voli or Ornn die, that player loses the game.

Voli doesn't generate cards like ASol and especially doesn't make anything 0 cost on level 2.

Him saying "When all is dark and cold, I shall remain" defeats past notions of people saying the gods wouldn't exist without people believing them. Because if all is dark and cold, there'd be no one to pray to Volibear, so clearly he doesn't give a sh*t who believes in him.
Maybe he's just built different? Isn't there that 2 drop that's desperately trying to get people to remember them so they don't "die"?

Important to note for Clash of Giants (and all other elemental payoffs): All of the frostbites are now Elemental also.

Volibear has to level on round end or else you could just level him on attack after block has been decided giving all your allies overwhelm.

Imagine Volibear + ASol + Celestials + Mega Ramp + The Skies Descend for Volibear level up = The new fav deck!
Flamecaller Caprine, you can buff her with Ice Shard without needing scargrounds in play. I think the value of this unit though is simply to have a blocker that's hard to remove, so you can stall out longer to reach the big boys. It'll scale with you too. If she's alive when Volibear is played, she just straight up gets +3/+3 making her a 4 mana 7/6, assuming you haven't even played another elemental spell/skill.
6/5 on voli drop, she is 3/2 (implying you havent played anything else) but yes i agree it is very strong and with sky splitter protecting her i dont see any way of removing her outside of obliterate, kill or silence and assuming you use that on a 4 mana, what will you do to deal with voli?
Also good if you're running avalanche since she only takes 1 less damage.

When Voli used Clash of Giants, it spawned Cithria and Ledros. If we assume the showcase tool allows them to choose what cards they want from a random pool (which sounds like the practical option), would that mean they chose the cards that would be pulled? And if so, considering we don't have champs for Demacia or Shadow Isles this set, maybe...?

Even before it was mentioned in this video, the first deck I’m building is a voli/Janna/ekko deck. You are discounting cards from both sides and you have great draw potential for freljord. You heard it right here folks!

@@poloi3440needs testing. If you play the 6 cost Ionia thing that creates a copy of a card in your hand on coins, you will have double the coins. Maybe It works like this with taliyah and the monument

I sense Voli Aatrox. You can discount the weapons in their unit form and can trigger titanic with them too, plus forge does things in freljord
That level up reminds me of when Riot teased Volibear's rework in League. During the days upcoming to his release, a giant Volibear would could randomly walk up to the ARAM bridge and smack it, knocking up every champion on the bridge.

If there is a elemental champion then i believe that karma sett will become op dotching piltover for the elemental spells, theres so much removal and now there's another win con elemental spell

I can't really see Nilah picking up an elemental champion in Shadow Isles unless we're getting a Runeterra exclusive that isn't currently a follower. Darkness would make sense as an element, but they would have already made it an elemental spell. Yorick would kind of make sense as an ally but I don't think him summoning zombies is enough to make him associated with the element of earth.
The other thought I had is that she's already gathered enough allies and is going to start fighting demons in Shadow Isles, but it would be weird for her to gather up a bunch of elemental allies and not include Qiyana, especially since Ixtal is pretty much the closest place to Bilgewater, anyway. So with that, I think we're getting some sort of Runeterra exclusive Shadow Isles champion that we haven't seen before in the next set.
Voli can be played with Asol and a lot of invokes to play Skies Descent and level Voli instantly

The only thing I can think of for the shadow isle is maybe like a path of champions place. Like 4-5* Virgo map maybe? But in a way what can be worse then sol path

The problem with storm bring though, is you're basically at Buried in Ice in terms of mana, that you might rather just play Buried in Ice to win the game. Actually Voli Bear feels that way too, that level up condition is pretty damn high, and you might just be winning before even getting there, or losing before you get there. He looks cool but more of a win more kind of champion.
you are supposed to play voli turn 6 though which is clearly not to late, you only need to ramp once and play a single sigile and have the combo ready, clash of giants is an alternate wincon if you do not draw voli. It's the fastest ramp deck we have seen yet which mean it's probably gonna have at least one tier 1 deck, I do agree though that's it's possible you cut voli for something else I am not sure if the skill synergy is good enough.
If you atack with volibear and level him up your others followers gain overwelm and you Win the game with titânica

@@tolmir2929Ya i get you're cheating him out early, I was talking more about leveling him up or playing storm bringer. If you play him on 6, and were playing things for sigil, you don't have spell mana banked up. So you'll have Buried in Ice Mana when you'd next be able to play Storm Bringer.
4 dmg x 6 is 24, that's barely half o his level up, so it's questionable if you'll actually be leveling Volibear.

the demigod sibling is complete at last. Still sad Fiddle is not coming this expansion because lore wise Fiddle is in Demacia right now but i wonder who could that new shadow isle champion be.
good things from sigil of the storm is you feel less shitty if your big unit get killed by disintegrate or scorched earth (noxus removal in general)

Janna Voli should be good with the discounts and elemental spell synergies. Voli would probably be just the "win harder" card then, I reckon.

Its so weird to hear people say deal 4 to enemy board slow is bad when you pay 9 in SI to clear entire board. Yes its not exactly the same, but there are a lot of board shapes I can see Voli decks in where they cheat out an early Titanic ally with Storm landmarks with token, swing in, next turn opponent can't go wide because you're holding up storm bringer. Thats really strong for the deck that Voli wants to play.
I think you'll usually be running one or two.
Volibear giving everyone overwhelm makes sense because its what his one plunder transform unit does also when he channels the volibear.
also, I disagree that ornn is a 'little 5/5' because while those are his base stats, when he is summoned, he copies an equipment and then forges it, so at least 6/6 then based on what you picked, he could easily hit 8/8 the item only needs to get forged twice before ornn copies it. Assuming you played this funny 4 cost elemental forge lady, you would easily have something of value. Basically Ornn makes himself titanic, while volibear is inherently titanic. But anyone in an ornn deck can be titanic, given a bit of time.
